Well this mod started when Mythos_Ruler contacted me about making a mod for a scen of his called Thermopylae ~ The Gates of Fire. He wanted me to make the hoplites look a bit more historically correct which I was totally for and change Theseus into King Leonidas. Later the greek villager got added to the "to be historically accuratized" mod list. After viewing the excellent references Mythos sent me I went straight to work. Soon I came across the great greek style shield avatars used in WildFireGame's 0ad forums and I decided they would be perfect for the mod. So Mythos contacted (because he is working on the 0ad project as well) the good people at WFG and got permission to use the avatars.
After several failed textures and ideas I finally perfected it and had it tested by several people.

valuable input and support on this mod and finally I would like to thank the good people at WildFireGames for allowing me to use some of their 0ad avatars for the shield textures (In particular, I would like to thank the creator Ryan Karsten AKA IrishStag).
I appolagise for a two inaccuracies. The first one was a sword on the hoplies side, unfortunantly the sword looked stupid and warped on the model so it was decided to be removed. The second inaccuracy is the cinematic spears, I would have corected it if I had the US$30 000 program however. I sincerely appolagise for this inacuracies.
To install, Unzip this file to the Age of Mythology root directory
(normally C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesAge of Mythology )
If this fails, unzip to another folder and:
Place the following files in the "Textures" folder:

This rating is actually based on the screenshot(s) Centurion showed me. They're very nice and the texturing on this model is, may I say, excellent:). I was only kidding when I said I didn't see a difference anyways:p.
Well..what can you expect from an O A.D. texturer anyways?

I just found I may have submitted some wrong files in it which make King Leonidas (General melagius) have random textures in non-cin mode.
Kind of funny see ing him covered in the grass texture sometimes so I will imediately go about repairing this problem, in the mean time I suggest if you dont want him looking weird all the time, remove the following brg files:

"Lacedaemonia", is the land around Sparta. The Spartans were Lacedaemonians. They lived on the Peloponnese Penninsula. Macedon has nothing to do with them.

acctualy Macedonia had lots to do with Greece.Plus macedonia had a war with the Greece.Alexander the great is actually Macedonia.
