Leonidas from Sparta

Author File Description
Dan_Swordsman
File Details
Version: AoM: The Titans
This was my first mod unit. Is quite simple, uses only existing textures, but it is a nice new unit.
King Leonidas from Sparta was the commander of the Greek coalization in the Battle of Thermopylae, fought against the Persian army. After a first fight, the greek coalization retired from Thermopylae, except 300 Spartan hoplites and king Leonidas himself. They heroically fight against 10.000 persians, and they all felt in battle. Nowadays there is, near the Thermopylae, a monument that remember their sacrifice.

If you could get a lower rating I'd give it.
This is a waste of AOM Heaven space.

1.You used the Huskarl(Norse Not Greek)

2.You made a helmet, another mistake.

3.The beard need I say more.

Additional Comments:
This really deserves a 0.5 being solely for some effort involved.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

TRY AGAIN!!!

Dear ThunderFlare Ra, if you want to rate this Mod 1.0, that's ok, I have no problem for this, it isn't great, I know; but you can't say that I commise ERRORS!

Point 1:
When someone make a Mod doesn't consider only A PART of the models, but ALL MODELS! If I want to use a Norse model to make a Greek unit I can do this, if the result is a greek-looking unit.

Point 2:
The greek officers (and so Leonidas, too) carried an helmet, just like other soldiers, so my helmet isn't a MISTAKE.

Point 3:
During the Battle of Thermopylae Leonidas had more than 60 years, so the beard is appropriate.

A friendly advice: think before criticize.

ThunderFlare Ra ok sorry if i wasn't clear enough

1. okay i relize that with atexture to go with it a new unit can be made to look like a different culture, but as to wat i said really i believe that the altogether style of the unit in different culture is so to different to overcome without alot of MODDING experiance
i also admit i dont think i could do it either.

2&3.the mix of the beard and the helmet thats wat makes it total $#!+

so SRY DO TRY AGAIN

FOR THE SAKE OF MODDING MAKE A v1.2

dwieeb Dude...there were over a million Persians in that battle, not 10,000
Xerxes 3902 Looks cool, but I have to agree with ThunderFlare Ra. The beard doesnt look that good with the helmet. Apart from that....awesome!

I think that Thunderflare was just plain rude with his rating, it wasn't THAT bad. Body of a Jarl, mixed with a helmet AND beard doesn't work very well. The unit itself is balanced and has no problems.

Additional Comments:
For design I would give a 1, but for working well it gets a 5.
