Your mission is to defend Helm's Deep until you are strong enough to take on the "Two Towers". You ultimately destroy Sarumon and Sauron's towers to win the game. There are a few specially triggered events that can alter the outcome of the battle. There are at least two super secrets that can only be triggered by a specific hero unit.
You have limited balistas so use them wisely. You also have food generators that produce new animals for food every so often.
Planning on defending Helm's Deep until the enemies run out of resources? Well that won't happen. Aside from the regular resources around them, they both get resources at a regular rate. Also there is a time limit to win the game. The limit is 7 Days which is just over 2 hours of game play. This is plenty of time so you don't have to rush to win, but ultimately there is a limit. There's a day/night lighting cycle and mother nature influences as you do battle with the two towers.
This game does not follow the Hobbits quest and it's not an accurate recreation of Helm's Deep, just an inspired one. This Scenario was designed to be played on moderate difficulty level. Other levels have not been tested.

It thoroughly enjoyed it and I had alot of fun playing it, it didn't lag and renacting it of the screen was also fun aswell. good job
Balance: 5
good, it wasn't too easy thats for sure, but it also wasn't impossible either. I don't really want to go into too much further detail, in fear of giving the game away.

Very well done, there's things in there that keep you interested in the game ( like the destroyed city ). And thats good for games based of movies that everyone has seen, because they know the outcome. so little thing like that can go along way.
Map Design: 5
nicely done, almost perfect from the movies. and it incorperated rescources and the map layout of middle earth very well.
Story/Instructions: 5
Crystal clear, survive the attack, then destroy the two towers within 7 days.
Additional Comments:
Did you know that this is also good for playing multiplayer? I think this was unintentional but it is! good work

Great playability! Defend Helm's Deep and then just explore the map and kill off Saruman and Sauron. I liked how you walk around to 'recruit' new soldiers and ballistas.
Balance: 5
Excellent balance! (I really dont know what balance is but it was probably great!)
Creativity: 3
Quite good creativity. With the elves arriving and Mt Doom. But you could have worked harder on the buildings and units. Maybe naming Arkantos Aragorn, and Brokk Gimli would have made a world of difference. And naming the wall of Helms Deep the 'Deeping Wall' as in the movies? And Sarumans citadel center 'Orthanc'.
Map Design: 4
Great map design! As this is the whole of middle earth here, maybe you could have made it a little bigger with more geographicaly placed areas.
Story/Instructions: 5
As this is the LOTR story i already have to give you top marks! And your instructions were great! Very clear.
Additional Comments:
Thanks for looking at my comments! Just keep in mind that changing names suggestion! And maybe you could upgrade the tiny wall of Helms Deep to a stone wall? Thanks! |

I loaded it and started to play but no triggers started. I checked the triggers and there was absoloutly no triggers. I don't know what it is but i can't play the game. |
