Very fun, I really like this and I am very excited to play this with my brother. The only thing that the playability is lacking (ofcourse you already mentioned this) is the easy ability to cheat. So if you were playing with a friend or something and went to the restroom then they could kill a few of your units and not tell you. Very fun except for the cheating.
Balance: 5
Very good here. Not much to say for a simple map and game. All I wish is that there was AI, but that would be extremely hard on a game like chess.
Creativity: 5
Very creative idea. Who would have thought it? Chess on AOM! Truly brilliant in my opinion. I would love to see other chess map variations maybe. Like I would love to see like a myth chess where all your units are myth and its like a snow map are something. Are maybe even a map where one side is humans and the other myth.
Map Design: 4
Good for a small map. But cant give a five on this just because its so small and probably didnt take to much time to finish the eye candy and such.
Story/Instructions: 5
I just rated this a 5 but there really was no story or instrucions. But its chess so theres no need for either a story or instructions. One thing I would recommend is adding a objective or something telling people how each piece is moved. So for people who arent familiar with chess.

Very creative and interesting idea. Hope to see other variations on map design, and units used.
