Introduction

So you have a killer Hades strat that you want to try on someone. The only problem is that you can’t find that unlucky opponent. Don’t worry, forum parties are here! Well, a forum party, or FP as I like to call it, is actually for anyone. Ratings don’t matter at all. The majority of players will be AoMHers who just want to have some fun. And if you have that killer strat, what better place to test it out with some good ol’ friendly forumers.

Each week Soccy creates his FP thread that says some spiel on the whole thing, and no one really cares about that. Sorry, Soccy… We all come into the thread and announce that we’ll be there, but many people seem to ask what a forum party is, where it happens, when it happens, and all that juicy stuff. That is where I come in. I’ve decided to make this guide so anyone can easily find their way to General Chat 4 and play a nice game, or two, at the AoMH FPs. Let’s get this thing started!

Knowing when it happens

You should all know that these things start at 12 noon and 9pm EST on Saturday, but what time is it where you live? A nice little forumer from AoMH, S p l a t, can help you. He’s created a very simple table, so each and every one of you can figure out what time it is in your area. You don’t have an excuse to miss the FPs now. Be there or be square. Whatever the hell that means…

Getting to General Chat 4

A lot of forumers seem to ask how to get to General Chat 4, GC4 for short, which I can understand from someone who’s never been on ESO. Even if you have, and you don’t know, it’s okay. I’ve made two pictures to help, one for AoM and one for TT.

Age of Mythology

Age of Mythology: The Titans

1. Choose ‘Multiplayer’ from the main menu and connect to ESO.
2. Choose Advanced Setup (brown box). Note: If you are playing through TT, it should say, “To Quick Setup.”
3. Go to the Chat section (yellow box).
4. Bring down the channel menu and choose General Chat 4 (black box).

I hope that helps all of you to find your way to General Chat 4.

Finding AoMHers to play with

You’ve logged onto ESO, you’ve found GC4, and you’re ready to play. Who are the forumers of AoMH though? Once again, fellow forumers come to the rescue! Rookierookie has created an ESO Contact Database. It contains the names of forumers with their ESO names, so you can easily play with your fellow ladies and gents.

Outroduction

Is that even a word? Anyways, I hope you can all figure out what time it is, find your way to General Chat 4, and join us for some nice games of AoM. Now, you better have that killer strat ready, or you could just bring along a pleasant attitude. Have fun, good luck, and remember, HSM wrote this guide, which means he’s cool. 😉
