Captured a gold mine, recruited a hero.

Day 1

Troops quickly disembark and capture a nearby mine only to find a friendly hero hiding within. Normally a strange occurance but she's a dwarf, and it 'was' a cave.

Troops began to scout the local area.

Day 2

Archon troops speed toward more resouces only to find them another day away. Scouting forces discover little as they seem to be wandering aimlessly. Questions are being asked about the effectiveness of these strategies.

Captured a mine and continued to move units. The desert is sparce and bare and travels have revealed little. Troops mutter words of mutiny.

Having given up on advanced scouting practices, troops were ordered to gather a valuable resource. A bitter day, as a valuable unit was lost and the resource proved to be not so useful.

Military advisors will be terminated.

Mine captured at greater cost than expected.

Despite constant lectures by motivational speakers, troop morale is still on the decline and the soldiers decide to call it quits for the day exactly one space from their destination.

Fire Node captured

Destination finally reached, and surprisingly, the battle is one against independents with zero losses. This is attributed much by the archers deciding to shoot the enemy for once rather than the back of our unicorn.

A fair amount of gold found. Useful for funding growth.

A fire node was procured from a hellhound and hatchling. They willing defended it to their deaths for some unknown reasoning.

Troops have been requested to move to a more strategic location. Basically, anything other than standing in the middle of a desert.

Goofed and so lost a couple of days production. Boo.

Gold is no longer a problem for the realm of Nimbus. It seemed that most of the treasury went to troop maintenance, but in a single wise decision to take on a spectre... there are few troops left to pay.

*For those undead lovers out there, don't worry, the spectre wasn't hurt at all.*

Troop Movement and regrouping.

The Desert was stained with blood this day as troops engaged in two major battles. Losses were high but so were the rewards.

A fire node was captured and a bizzare halfling priest offered to join the archon movement.

Troop movements into enemy domain have revealed important information. The *fairie* seems ready to strike.

A town from the enemy has been captured, elsewhere, troops have decided to head back to were they were 2 days ago.

Troops are still walikng, 1 day to go. These brilliant tactics of walking back and forth even astounded the game itself which crashed. You may get a restart message. No battles fought.

I've messed up the save, so I replayed my turn with the standard no combat rule. I have resent the file. Everything should hopefully work now. Sorry about that.

Nimbus (the day previous),

Nimbus sat in the tower watching the slow but purposeful movement of his troops. "It will come soon now," he thought. A military advisor was summoned into the chamber. Nimbus asked, "how many more days until we reach our target?" "Two sire.... no I mean one!" Nimbus' brow raised, "how can it be one?" "Well, you see sir, while measuring the distance, we didn't account for the magical automove button to be active, so our troops have now left their positions and are standing in the middle of the desert with absolutely no magical support."

That sucked.

Nimbus (today)

Nimbus sat in the tower watching the slow but, not so, purposeful movement of his troops. "It will come soon now," the advisor told him. "What should we do?"

Nimbus, a tall man in stature, rose and shadowed the little man. "Go... go get me a beer."
