Meriadoc, Day 11 & 12 :I had decided to gather my forces to attack Pippin's army (lead by Chris), but the enemy was quicker and attacked me!
Chris, 1 Sheriff, 1 Efreet, 1 Poney Riders, 3 Treemen and 1 Astra (I didn't know you had that last one. Maybe I would chose to delay the attack because of it.
On my side, Merry himself, Lennart, 1 Sheriff, 1 Drac Elder, 1 Druid, 2 Spiders, 2 Nymphes, 2 Slingers, 1 Swordsman, 1 Lurker, 1 Iron Maiden and 4 or 5 Pony Riders.
I just explored the Magic Vault, and because I tried to trap the Air Elemental guarding it, some units were wounded. Maybe that's why Pippin decided to attack.
During the first round, the Druid entangled 1 Treeman while the 2 others killed my Slingers (after they missed every shoot). Nymphes tried to seduce the Efreet, but didn't succeed. The entangled Treeman and the Efreet were killed. About the 2nd round, the 2 remaining Treemen were paralysed : one by the Druid, the other by a Spider. The Nymphes again failed to seduce anybody, that was their last chance to do it... The rest of the fight is obviously an easy victory.
I would say great success for my Druid and my Spiders, but total failure for my Nymphes and Slingers (and they had silver and gold medal).
I thought you'd remember our first duel : during the final battle, my Druid and my Spiders were the Heroes! You said I was lucky to seduce the Druid ... well ... yes and no : during our first duel, I webbed or killed those 5 indies after my 2nd round of battle. Then the indies didn't do anything else than being hit. And that time, it took 16 tries to my Nymphe to seduce the Druid (thank god, I had 2 Spiders to web him all the time). So it's not a surprise that I seduced the Druid, but I was really lucky to do it during the first round!
Now something else :
It's about the Magic Catalyst. On our game, I chose "50 Casting Points" instead of "150 Research". That was to cast "Call of The Forest" faster. Here is what happenend :
Day 5 : Starting to cast. 150 points needed. End of turn = 20 CP. 7 turns to wait.
Day 6 : 130 needed. End of Turn = 20 CP. 6 days to wait.
Day 7 : 110 needed. Found the Catalyst. End of Turn = 70/20 CP. 3 Turns to wait.
Day 8 : 40 needed. End of Turn = still 70/20 CP. 2 turns to wait.
Day 9 : No more needs : I cast the spell and I still had 30/20 CP !!!
So this means that I benefit from the 50 CP for several turns! This is not supposed to work like this, is it ?
Day 12 : at least one glade runner is having fun near my capital. The hunting is open! lol
