Heading directly for my mountain, no matter what.

Hi, looks like we are not playing the BTOOIC tournament version. Can you please send the map to me, jsroy - the one you used to set this game up?.
I don't want to play under the assumption that certain things will be there - when they will not be.

Edit: I have downloaded and seen what is probably the map we are using. I would suggest that we use the new one (modified for SM) submitted by Swolte and that is being used for the Tournament currently running. This one has a lot of changes and far more options to explore and expand.

If everyone agrees, I vote we restart on the new version. Jsroy, you can get the new version from the Download central - just search for goldrush and pick the second one, it is 66.24 kb in size.

I think Minstrel too will agree, having played on the newer version. So, if Bruce agrees, we should probably restart.

A small village is now under my control and a Spirit of war quest completed.

I had a restart today during my turn. I had to download the turn twice. The first time for some reason was not fully successful. There was just a single battle killing some infidels - and the battle was not even close.

Setau, day 2

Also completed my quest. The reward was slightly disappointing.

Amon, day 3

Just exploring, but interesting targets discovered for next turn.

I also fired my town officer who canceled the building (2 coins left) when changed my mind and ordered to cancel the hurry on it (read: I pushed cancel button instead of cancel hurry... I hate when this happens, shouldn't be a "are your sure" msgbox on "cancel" button ?!?)

A bad tactical mistake cost me the life of a veteran catmaster at the hands of a veteran runemaster today (veteran coz he killed my wizard...with two well-placed blows).

We have also sighted Setau's orcish village but have made no diplomatic advances for now, attributed to a long day in the field and the trip to the void.

Elsewhere, some of our fast and mighty scouts found gold, I mean PLENTY of mines !!

As they were resting and planning the next exploration heading, they saw a phenix coming their way... they choose to explore a slightly different path then first planned (nothing to do with the phenix, of course!)

Completed a quest and bravely fought several indies today.

The spirits seem to be angry with me and constantly demande services to prove my loyalty. One of those quest I may have to decline. May they have mercy on my soul.

I see a little more of this moutain and... suprise, no sign of that Phenix !?! It vanished as it appeared... I wounder when (but most important where) I'll see it next.

Hummm... since Setau is not pleased with my mines distribution, I'm forced to take his mines and hunt down his units... peace would have been so easy on our people.
