Discovered the steam tank force.

I'm afraid my peacekeeper attribute I have researched last turn is going to be the gamebreaker on this map, but this could be me just being overconfident.

Troops are brought up to reinforce in front of the steam tank force.

Gold is spent to recruit an orc town in front of an aproaching northern Arthur force.

Gold is spent in hiring some troops in my rear villages just in case there's a breach in my lines. I have lots of gold.

Borders are shaping up. It looks like a great majority of this land is flagged blue.

Congratulation this one's yours !

It seems I was wrong from start. I really, really don't understand how could have so much more gold than me. You had about 5 times more unit than me, you were able to recruit a village after another while I couldn't even train in my villages due of gold shortage. And all that in only 18 turns.

I've to go back in school ! I was clearly outclass here...

EDIT : Oups I forgot. Wanna rematch and switch side ?
My point of view is you learn when you play with stronger players... and I wanna learn !

Definetly yes on the rematch. I can set up tomorrow or send it my way if you have the opportunity today.

My road to victory on this map:
I did very little purchasing of troops or town improvements. In the beginning I saved my gold for the recruitmment of any neutral towns that were discovered (which were three early on, one of which I attacked and conquered.

Once I got the peacekeeper (It took till turn 13 with no other research advances IIRC) every race, other than archons and undead, were willing to be recruited and my gold level allowed almost one town recruitment per day, with none or little other purchases. I had fast moving scouts composed of hunters, my manticore, a horse archer and the sheriff force poised to start recruiting the towns near to them once I finished peacekeeper.

There were two towns in my interior lines that I hadn't yet recruited as they wanted too much: a halfling town for 650+- and a frostling town for 860+- but everything else was blue flagged.

All the town recruitments, campsites and other structures like inns and rogue shack provided my steady stream of troops that overwhelmed you. Feel free to use the peacekeeper strategy in our next game. I reserve the right to use it myself .

I'm looking forward to another fast paced game,

I doubt I'll time to start the game, until late tonight. but whoever has time first let's do it.

I'll think of something else. Your strategy did surprised me indeed. But most be more than 1 way, and I like to find new strategies... although is doesn't pay all the time !
