Razholm is a strange scenario, written in a language I don't even have a character set for, so it will be exciting.

Turn 2

Moving to rebuild.

As a suggestion, if the map is symetrical there is in range an undefended shipwreck that gives money.

Nice suggestion , I did not notice that the ships had NO defences.

Am I evil?

A hero presented himself and offered his services, but he could not have done so at a worst time. After having pondered this, I chose to hire him now, else risk having him wander my lands and cause trouble.

My condolances on the inoportune hero.

You might try hiring a unit with mountain climing. There are some undefended mines on the other side of the mountains.

Cool, that is helpfull
You are a strange opponent

My evil heros did not like that we where controling so many human towns, so we start migrating a couple to orcs

I hope these mindless moving muscle monsters will be more docile.

*chuckle*

Well I figure I'm going to win anyway, I might as well be helpful.

Hehe, you seem certain of yourself

We will see in about 10 to 20 turns I guess

I'm sure my confidence is misplaced. You can take a look at my win/loss ratio to get the real clue about my odds.

I do wonder what's happening on the other side of the board. Something surprising evidently.

As for me my rating is low enough. I take to many risks in this game I think.

As for your curiosity about what is happening around here, I dont know if I should tell you. But since you have been a helpfull adversary Last turn, my 2 heros came nose to nose with a 7 strong stack of undead Beserkers, including knigths and vampires. While trying to maximise my distance between them and me, I spotted another powerfull undead stack, this time including undead bone horror and specter. I fleed to fast to see if they where also beserkers...

This turn, I saw that they followed me towards my city. I expect them to rase a couple of them before I am able to intercept the first weaker one. Dont know what I should do if the other one followed me.

Some good news and some bad.

The good news is that I destroyed the first stack with only a couple of losses.

The bad: I am in more trouble than I had imagined. The second stack indead consisted of beserkers. 6 units strong including a specter and a bone horror. Behind it, a couple of hexes away, I discovered yet another 7 strong stack of undead beserkers with a vampire as a leader. Although they are within reach of the army I managed to raise to stop this threat, I hope they will not attack it and instead try to raise my orcish town. If they decide to attack my army I will have to rely on the IA to control the defences and I think it will be my end.

I think I will change tactic in this game, as a powerfull scout of mine finished his turn adjancent to a powerfull beserker squad consisting of a shadow deamon Lord and a couple of soak up units

As for the other beserker squad, I was lucky as it went for my city

Well, baybe I read this wrong, but I thougth that beserkers where supposed to attack whatever they see regardless of the odds. As things are, they seem to be ignoring my army. To bad for them because they would have crippeled it.

Well things are going better somewhat on this side of the divide. One of my expiditionary forces was eliminated entirely due to my stupidity, but that's abut it. Still need to take that orc town thugh. (I skipped it, and need to come back.)

Excelent pace by the way. But I was woundering who had the turn? Is it still me? I think I have sent it but I am not certain.

In either case, next week will be slow for me. I will be able to play one turn per day. I may even skip a few since I will be in my exams period.

I wish you well on the exams. We've gotten the game going again, and I'll be patient as needs be.

Hehe, I did not expect you to reach me with those troops. But I was extremely surprised to see my troops survive your assault with no losses

Shades do not have a very powerfull punch but are extremelly resilient units

I'm mostly worried about these unending waves of beserkers
posted 05-07-05 09:18 PM EDT (US)     32 / 35
Yeah, I know what you mean. I sent a scout to probe the defences of a magic vault aud behold: large stack of powerfull units who wants to kill me (on top of your troops coming via the void bridge

I find this map interresting, but their is too much random elements in it in my opinion.

That's the third wave a troops I've taken to the center of the board to have dozens of berzerkers pop out of nowehere and eliminate.

I'm ready to call this one a draw.

posted 05-09-05 02:48 PM EDT (US)     34 / 35
Ok, that's it. I let them kill me. Looking at the graph after i did it pretty much justified that thought.

So would you like another game? Any preference for size or number of AI?

posted 05-09-05 03:14 PM EDT (US)     35 / 35
That was an interresting game, but I think it was a bit biased. Early on in the game, I had to convert a town from humain to ork, and that made my overall alignement Evil. For that reason, even though I had lots of beserkers in my lands they rarelly attacked me. Only a couple of times, in wich they inahilated my small armies, but after that they left me alone wich gave me the time to colonise all of the shadow world and underground. Had I not been evil I think independants would have killed me early on in the game.

(on top of that, their was a void bridge in the underground blocked with a tower guarded by a ChaosLord and a ShadowLord and guess what?... They where for hire )

Another game? Ok, my preferences would be:

-Single sphere wizard
-Any race
-If AI, no alliances for us and no getting spells or cities from AI in trades because AI are stupid (the other way around is ok with me: giving spells or cities for gold or mana or items is ok with me).
-no other preferences
