Archons day 1

Can't these undead ever leave an Archon in peace? Oh well, we'll cleanse these lands once and for all this time! Two brigades were sent out to do so!

This prissy creek valley needs a new landlord to darken up the decor. Soon all the little fairies and leprachauns will be nothing more than greasy spots in the ash... DESTROY!

My troops make swift progress. The first undead smells have come our way. We shall have no mercy!

A town of goblins fall under my sway. They shall be used ruthlessly to satisfy my whims of destruction...

What a lot of joy today. Halflings join us, an Elf joins us and pretty soon more people will join us to wipe out the boney Nekron and his minions.

A couple of structures added to my domain today, but not without loss.

More wounded Archons but no deaths today.

I tried to play this turn first but my computer shut down mid turn with a memory dump. I think my hard drive is dieing because clickety click noises eminate from my case and are often proceeded by lockdowns and shutdowns. Sorry.

I had one small battle with some indies. No losses.

4 z birds atacked some of my froces in the evening and killed 3 valuable units. The accompanying hero killed all of them, which was the only positive to come of it.

In the north my forces capture a dark elf town.

We easily killed three birds without any losses of course...

Bloody Hell! This creek land is proving more dangerous than expected as independants attacked me again and caused some bad losses. Another critical battle with independants will take place over night, again, 3rd day in a row....

Last 2 turns

Nekron -

In the south we play cat and mouse with the protectors of the creek. A spy is spotted and a hero is sent forth to crush his cookies.

In the north reinforcements combined with recruited archers make the situation feel more stable, despite the angry mob of do-gooders posturing on the bridge.

It took all of my willpower to prvent Ymbria from attacking Chanta in the south. Too risky! I sit tight for now...

Gonna switch to 1.4 tonight and play the next turn. I'll also setup a new game for us with one of the 1.4 maps. Ladder of course

Should be fun to play blind again with all those news units and changed abilities for 'old' units.

This may put a crimp in Anon's plans. Enjoy your first bite of fear old man. How does it taste? Good!

Anon's hold on the valley may not be as secure as he thought, keeheehee...

Oh, and Ymbria caught herself a little elf spy too.

Hmmm so Nekron thinks he's quite something now huh? He'll be surpised by my next move. Preparations have been made, the wheels will be set in motion tomorrow.

Sadly we had a very bad night. Due to unforseen circumstances we lost two valuable new recruits.

A blocking force led by Ymbria camps in the woods near to the murderers of Joseph, who travel in force across the way. The murderers think to threaten my main castle, though they seemingly could easily charge to the north or the south. Hmmm...

Meanwhile my mighty bone dragon surfaces on Anon's front doorstep as a little halfling rogue runs to serve his master, but he's caught on the wrong side of my dragon. I can only imagine his squeeky blithering at the sight of my mighty apparition...

Bonedragon on my side (accompanied by those irritable abominations of course) and my company on Nekron's side. This could become very interesting. We gave Nekron's hero a taste of holy growth to chew on. Sadly most of his units are flying or floating.

Restart because I played the turn in 1.3 instead of 1.4. Did the exact same things on the replay of the turn. Things ended up the same since I only had a small fight.

The bone dragon starts to cut into the soft underbelly.

Ymbria's exodus from the holy woods was painful, her spider companion close to death.

The holy growth did what it had to do. It damaged Ymbria and her spider enough for my brave men to charge into battle! The tunic of resurgence really paid dividends as my troops performed very well. Ymbria and her companions are dead. Let's see if we can close the net a bit further now.

The bonedragon still worries us though. We hope that our defences are sufficient.

Urgh! That really burns me up. Some reinforcements come up to retake the magic relay and taunt Anon's force to attack again. (If we fight again maybe my wizard won't wait until the last round to cast a weakness spell. I had full spell points available. Urgh!)

In the south east I see that Anon's force is on the move.

My bone dragon ran into a bit of gristle so he scorches the farm in Anon's land and heads out for some more soft targets.

Bone dragon tastes his first fairy flesh and takes a gold mine, gold being a very tight commodity at the moment, and hopefully tight for Anon too.

Grmbl, that bonedragon is causing more grief than I expected. We decided it time to cause grief too.
