Players Needed: Three registered players willing to log each turn and take one turn at least every three days.
Type: Standard 2-vs-2 Wizard Ladder game using House Rules.
Map: A River Ran Thru It
Map Comments: This is a fun two-level map with three of the wizards starting above ground and one wizard starting below ground. The underground has a lot of "hidden" elements requiring excavation, so build up your "diggers." Lots of cities, lots of resources, and some really interesting terrain make this an enjoyable team map.
Wizards: Ulmrat (Earth), Reignbeau (Cosmos), Felix Sandstorm (Fire), Jeremia Hayseed (Air)
Teams: Ulmrat & Felix Sandstorm vs. Reignbeau & Jeremia Hayseed
Notes: Automated PBM Dice Server will be used to determine wizard assignments. There will be a total of four roles of a six-sided die (one roll for each player). First two odd roles will play Ulmrat & Felix Sandstorm. The other two players will play Reignbeau & Jeremia Hayseed. It may be necessary to send the request to the PBM server more than once to obtain the required number of odd rolls.

Quoted from greenmonster:

i have found 2 errors that people should quickly correct themselves...
in the story, i say that the halfling lands are to the west, when they are in fact in the east. (thanks, Wazz!)

also, tile 8,35,1 (underground) should NOT be a 'solid' tile... it should be a passable one (dirt). (again, thanks, Wazz! - here's hoping your fingers grow back soon!)

just thought you would like to know!

No, I don't mind a bit. If you have two other people you'd like to play with, feel free to refer them to this thread or the other one I started for Goldrush Mountains.

OK - misinterpreted your "ad" post wording.

Again, I don't care what wizard or sphere, and I almost never go without playing at least once a day.

This will also be my 3rd game on this map 0.0, given that I just finished one, we're having a rematch, and this. I just hope I don't totally overwrite everything

Edit: And all of them will be with Dafyth, Didn't see his name there

I'll try to make the title unique enough to avoid confusion.

I should have it sent out in a couple of hours once I get home from work.

Okay, I've resent the turn to hs667@hotmail.com

Let me know if you don't receive it. The name of the file (and eMail) will be WL - 2 vs 2 - A River Ran Through It

Hopefully that will be somewhat unique enough for 'ya.

Orcs - Day 1

Looking around, we see a barren wasteland. The filthy elves that stole our water will be punished. They shall feel the earth move under their feet, the ground shake under our tread, as our boot crushes them for eternity. The march has begun.

Elves -- Day1

All is good in my green and sunny realm. My pure and holy magic streams through my tower, giving warmth and comfort to my loyal followers and to the furry forest creatures whom I protect.

What's this? A warrior maiden who guards a tree of life, wishes to join me and present me with her tree. She only asks for some gold? Of course my dear, there is plenty for all! Come to me.

Ah, another magic node, occupied by some playful water dancers. Will you join us as well? No?!? Well then, whack-whack, you naughty things! . . . Now, it is peaceful again, and more magic flows through our domain, and the birds sing even more gaily.

Yes, it has been a very pleasant day.

TS, Played on work computer.

Felix Sandstorm - Day 1

Things have started well enough. One quest completed, one god pleased. We have scouted a little, but my problem now appears to be figuring out where to go first.

Jeremiah Hayseed - Day 1:

The day dawned bright and clear as I sent my warriors with their stubby little legs forth to parlay with the nearby outposts. It appears that three outposts are interested in joining my cause. I shall meet with them tomorrow to discuss terms.

Even I ventured forth to speak to a few troops that guarded a windmill. For a small price they have joined my cause bringing valuable resources flowing into the Shire.

Orc - Day 2

I was attacked in the night by 2 vicious birds, who rent two of my troops. I returned the favour by removing some independents from the field. The armies still move, and still scout.

A good day of scouting. This world is freindly! A pair of birds came right up to my hand to feed, and then offered to join me when I talked to them! I think I will do some more resource gathering when the dawn breaks tomorrow.

Felix Sandstorm - Day 4

We waged one horrific battle today. It should have gone better than it did, but the only units that I lost were units that joined for nearly free anyway, so I guess there's no huge problem.

The resources gained were a help and will be needed to create a real army.

In other news - a potentially pesky Earth Elemental has retreated, much to our pleasure.

The turn goes to WK. He will open it, see the message of his death, get a look at the stats as of his departure, and then he will be forced to close out and send it on.
