Today Nimbus came one hex from being sent permanently into the void.
Nimbus decided to sally forth into the battleground against my hero-led army with himself accompanied by two charioteers, an avenger, a priest and an archer.
AND he cast dispel magic which dispelled seven enchantments from various units.
Never mind though, blessed all of them again, cast enchant weapon on the two heroes and the elven archer...and we won with 4 losses.
If I had had the sense to go directly for the capital with my hero (who had enough mp to reach that), Nimbus would have been history. But I chose to retrieve the items my other hero had left behind after being killed and fell one hex short of the capital.
Never mind though...

P.S. Galdur (or Gryning, should I say), good balanced map....the options to both players are the same...so, its each own style of play that will determine the outcome.
Not yet thought if anything needs to be tweaked...but will let you know if something comes to my mind.
