It would be best done here or let me do it, since you come here with an explanation that for some reason didn't help you do it corectly. Well it's correct that 'reduce the frametable number for each u slot by 10 so that the graphics shown were earth' though. 'Cut & paste 0u to 1u' doesn't make sense to me, but maybe it's so that graphics turn the correct way? But so far nothing seemed odd in-game for me.Let's try to explain this in detail.
I suggest copying and renaming a mod folder first. Since Tp is a famous Dwigger, let's copy 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch' folder from User/Resources to another folder and rename it 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch rock test'. Move/cut/paste it back to user/Resources, so you have both there. This is done so both Mods have the same ID number, which prevents Incompatible Resources error. Mods with same ID are compatible in the regard that if you edit a Mod to, say, remove a ranged attack from a unit, units already built on a previous save retain it; new ones built after that edit don't.
Ok launch Editor, AoWSMEd.exe, with 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch rock test' chosen in AoWSetup.exe Mod list. Click Resources/Edit. Click on Hidden Tiles tab, then on Hexagons tab. Now, the first 14 terrain are Hexagons - what you will alter is the Rock ISOMETRIC Hexagon, which is the one further down, after those terrains and 3 lines of roads and bridges - there is a Rock and an Earth Isometric hexagon. If you hover the mouse over them, they will read 'Isometric Hexagon'.
Double click on the Rock Isometric hexagon, the one to the left. In the Terrain Type choose 'Earth'. Then click on 'Edit Images'. You will enter the IS Editor, with a list of frames. The ones in use have an 'u' after the frame number. Here we have 0,1,2,3; then 20, 21, 22 and 30,31,32 in use. You can see they graphically represent Rock. They will be replaced to the Earth tile frames by typing into 'Frame Table:' window.
To know what these are, you can either:
1. Open the Earth Isometric hexagon, click on Edit Images and write them down;
2. Launch 2 editors at the same time so you can have 2 IS Editors open - one with earth, other with rock, and copy to/type the numbers of Earth frames on the Rock one. Be careful with 2 editors open: the Mod that will be saved is the latest chosen in AoWSetup.exe, so you would open the 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch' Mod FIRST, choose/launch 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch rock test' secondly; after editing it, save and just close the other you had opened.
3. Trust me the frames for Earth, that will the typed into the Frame Table are:
0 u: 60
1 u: 61
2 u: 62
3 u: 63
20 u: 67
21 u: 68
22 u: 69
30 u: 40
31 u: 41
32 u: 424) You will notice that they are indeed 10 frames 'less' than the Rock ones. So after you get the hang of it, you can remember this to alter the next mod you want to play Random Maps with dig able ug Earth.
After that, save the 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch rock test' you edited. Again if you opened 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch' just to check the frames for Earth, close it without saving!
Now comes the easy part:
1) Launch 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch', create a Random Map, save or use autosave by letting turn 1 end.
2) Close game, run AoWSMSetup.exe to choose 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch rock test'.
3) Launch game, reload saved game/autosave!
It will NOT work trying to generate a Random map with 'Dwiggs 1.4_Patch rock test'.
Hope this was clear, heh.
If anyone thinks this is well explained I can put on first post.
