Wizard Ladder games:

Map: Thinreed Lake (AOW World Cup 2001 Version)

Game 1: Sprout as Evil (Goblins and Dark Elves) vs ZSaber as Good (Dwarves and Elves)
Game 2: Zsaber as Evil (Goblins and Dark Elves) vs Sprout as Good (Dwarves and Elves)

Hope everyone has an enjoyable game

Edit: We decided (mutually) to stop playing the Cold Fusion games as it seemed extremely unbalanced and switched to these games instead.

Highmen - Day 1 and 2

A brave hero joins our cause and together we slaughter and loot a plague filled undead city. Moving forward, our paladin leads the charge killing the kobolds that had taken up residence in the Orc city.

Undead - Day 1

We gather some resources and prepare to attack the highmen outpost that guards the valley ahead.

Highmen - day 1 and 2

We attacked an undead city, the number went pretty badly; we lost a swordman to these bony creature. Plus we haven't seen any trace of a hero, perhaps he will show up tomorrow.

highmen - day 3 and 4

Apparently, the undead city revolt. We probably going to slaughter them tomorrow when we have one more archer. Still, our deserved hero refused to pop out from a town .

undead - day 2 and 3

No loss yet, so that's good news. A dwarven town with four guards, there must be an easier way to kill them other than brute strength. Guess we will wait till tomorrow, perhaps a hero with some wit will show up and lead us to victory.

Highmen

Things are well in hand. Our paladin and hero have secured some reinforcements and we slaughter 5 undead troops for little loss on our side.

Undead

Apparently our brains did not raise with the rest of us when we became the "walking dead"...alas, things here could hardly be worse

highmen - day 5

Things are in good control. No sign of the undead yet; they must be cowering in their new captured dwarven city.

undead - day 4

We see the highmen have some new recruits. But our soliders are fearless for we are undead.

We awake from a dream about some cold plains with Undead and Highmen battling it out...and awake to find ourselves in a pitched battle around Thinreed Lake!

Game 1: Goblins (Day 1)
- We foolishly lose a ballista in taking a city...some unlucky shooting resulted in this setback. We await the coming storm!

Game 2: We sleep on...awaiting the day to come when we shall awake and fight the evil that is arrayed against us!

Goblins - day 1

Lost some troops due to careless planning. We will keep keen eyes on the dwarves and elves.

Dwarves and Elves - day 1

The dwarves are fairly sucessful in taking our rightful possession and some weapons in a crypt. However, our elves suffer some severe loss in taking some cities. We must be cautious for the enemy lies just beyond the horizon.

Evil - Day 2:
Indeed, we should be more careful...already discovered a city owned (past tense) by the Elves...fighting will begin soon!

Good - Day 1:
No major losses...we conserve our strength for the tough days ahead!

Evil - Day 3

Hmm...being cautious...the Elves seem to have retreated...but do they hid just out of our sight?

Good - Day 2

We push forward...but carefully...we know that evil is near at hand!

Good - day 2 and 3

We have taken much of the cities surrounded us. The goblins' advancing with a karagh does seem worrying. The dark elves enslaved a syron to guard their city, we proceed with caution not to make any hasty move.

Evil - day 2 and 3

The dwarves are in visual range, so is an elven scout. The elves haven't taken the human 3 hex liked we thought they would. We will see what they have in mind.

Good - day 4

Lost most of our troops to the cursed syrons. We are retreating from their onslaught. Things are not looking good .

Evil - day 4

Haven't crossed sword with the so-called goodies, but we can sense that they are coming every soon. We have consolidated most of our area.

Evil -

Ah...the power of the incarnate Syron. The dwarven firstborn, both giants, both heroes - all are dead. The Elves remain a force, but now we approach from 2 directions!

Good -

We are cautious...well perhaps A few tricks up our sleeves. Our Elves are positioned and open to attack - but numbers are in our favor if the Goblins dare to attack. Elsewhere we find some new recruits!

Evil -

Not much happening...still wondering where those Elves are...

Good -

Ah...the power of dwarven balloons Our heavily enchanted dwarven strike force takes out the incarnate syron (wonder where you got that idea from ) then proceeded to take out the bulk of the dark elf army.

Sadly we lost our lizard 4 hex to a sneaky play by the goblins...we will have our revenge of course!

Good

Must we fight for our pity difference? Can we just get along?

Evil

One fatal bite, all is taken from us. We must rely on our goblins to take out these sneaky trespassors.

Good

We are doomed, but we will makesure that we at least take out the incarnate syron, who exterminate our great dwarven force singlehandedly.

Evil

The culprits who slaughter our dark force are hiding somewhere in the shadow. If they want to claim back the lizard city that they captured, they might be a bit disappointed because the city is reduced to rubbles. Oh dear, we are really evil to have done so much pain to the lizard people. However, we do hope some of our remaining lizards to stay with us for we will pay them handsomely for their service .

Both game is finished with one game lasting more than 40 some days. In the end, Sprout's races merged victorious over mine. Sprout, you've shown that you are a great warrior. Great game and Congraduation !
