Large map, surrender off, 2 AI Lords, Frostlings, Dwarves, Haflings and Goblins only.

Artica: Springheel
Mab: Tibbs

Btw: I haven't installed v1.3 yet, so that might mean we're stuck with 1.2 stats, sorry.

A karagh run from a gargoyle? That's a first. Was that the computer's idea?

Yep. I don't think you can ever control it. As far as I understand it, if a ground unit engages a flier in FC there is 1 round of combat then the flier just sits there and combat ends. (unless there are spells, then the flier will fight until death) Kind of glad my Karagh did run though. He fought lousy.

I'll play the turn shortly.

An odd trail of darkness is winding its way into our realm (man, totally forgot about that effect).

Killed that centaur with the trail of darkness and have begun preparations for frostling attacks.

Goblin bombers sure didn't do much.

Cast a most devious goblin-style spell.

Man, those shades are hard to kill. Frostlings feel like they are delaying the inevitable....

I could have sworn I read this last game.

The process of swapping towns has begun. Halfling city taken, and we shall lose a goblin city tomorrow. (Hopefully they will put up a fight.)

Lol, that's true. Although last time I hadn't spotted four or five Karaghs roaming around.

Don't worry, I haven't given up yet.

Little goblins are ordered to yell nasty things at the army passing by them. (yes, that was your mother they were talking about)

Nobody says that about OUR mothers! Aww...we wanted to see mountains sink into the ground to let heroes come get us. That's not as fun.

Goblins tasted the magic of the cold ones and died badly. Good thing goblins cannot read as each was wearing a loin-cloth labelled 'expendable'.

Made a mistake trying top appease the god of war. Oh well, it was fun.

Trolls continue there march throughout the lands singing,
'Jimmy crack corn, let the frostlings burn'
'Jimmy crack corn, let the frostlings burn'

(and then they just start over because they can't remember the rest of the words)

BTW-I wanted to see the mountains sink too but got fed-up trying to get the spell.

Hmm, heroes turn around. No fighting today?

Gobbies very smart. Hide next to tough independents. Also try to draw forces away from capitol.

Gobbies resent word 'hiding'. We are being cheesy in plain sight.

Gobbies found a creature cave all unguarded in deep frostlin' territory. Letter of thanks is in the mail.

Don't mention it...helping you in fairly stupid ways seems to be my strategy this game.

Just noticed that my old capitol was burned to the ground, probably several turns before I set in motion my plan to capture it back.

I have decided to label my turns with a title rather than Day 1 or 2. Today's title shall be: "A Comedy of Errors"

Really? We frostlings didn't see any...just the killing of most of our city defenders, lured outside the city walls. After weeks of travelling, we hope that our major army gets a chance to attack!

Today's Title: The Great Race

The race to the capitals has begun.

Did you notice Poison Domain was gone? Yep, forgot to decrease my research slider and dispelled it. I also ran an army back and forth.

A lot of angry frostling raiders around my old capitol. I don't think they're going to listen to reason.

We have scraped together a few defenders...will they be enough or is this the end of the frostlings?

(Yeah, I didn't notice until this turn it was gone...as for the race, remember little frostling legs...?)

The goblin hordes have poured through the under-earth and washed away the cold dwellers.

If it wasn't for my wizard tower, I really wanted to see how that other battle would have turned out. Too risky though.

Great game Springheel, I'm not sure if you read the end screens but that was by far one of the closest ones I have been in.

I'd be highly interested in another game if you are.

Thanks again.

It did seem close from the screens, although I never really felt like I had a handle on this map. I think I made two fatal errors in the game...one, basically leaving the underground entirely for you, and two, moving my wizard and defenders out to attack your army that one time. Falling for the shade distraction didn't help either...that was a nice one.

Did you raze my old capitol, btw? I found that a curious move, since I didn't have anything nearby when you did it.

I definitely would like another game. My wife is calling me for supper, but I'll set something up after that.

Earlier in the game I fulfilled a War quest to raze a frostling town that you owned so I did. I forgot that Frostlings would hate me so that City rebelled before I could sell the Wizard tower. Also, all of my frostling units rebelled and razed the former capital. (Comedy of Errors turn)

I was going to sell the Wizard tower anyway because you had too many units with snow concealment which made it a dangerous commodity.
