Halflings: Day 1

From the safety of our tower we can see that there is much to do in these lands. Unfortunately, the small legs of the wee-folk accomplish little.

Halflings, Day 2:

Today our forces descended upon a dungeon manned by orcan scum. Halfling assassins easily breached the walls and were met with a hail of arrows. The assassins were able to fall one of the archers but their wounds were dire and they were lost to us. Outside the gate, the deputy halfling pony rider and the sheriff continued to work on the walls. Their lack of physical strength cost them as the archer picked off the defenceless deputy. The sheriff, enrgaed by the slaughter of his comrades, bashed through the gate and killed the archer. An orcish grunt was the next to perish but that left an opening for the cavalry. From his monstrous steed, the orc skewered the fatigued little one and raised his sword to deliver the final blow, but the sherriff quickly drew his pistol and downed the beastly rider. The prisoners, now freed, have agreed to join our armies but only time shall tell if the costs were too high.

We have convinced some halflings that the small folk should stand united and they gladly offered their furnace to us.

Turn 3

Gathering an eclectic group of allies to defeat the enemies that thwart my destiny!

posted 04-29-04 09:04 AM EDT (US)     7 / 42
We have received warning from Mab that the goblins do not wish our company and that we should go no further. Unfortunately, the small folk could see no others and don't know which direction the goblins referred to. We have probably trespassed upon someone's toes.

Turn 3

Marinus' Legionnaire crashed my party so I threw him out on his ear! These Halfling lackeys should learn their place.

Mab's grunts should stop sniffin' around my alleys. The Queen hates goblins and likes to invent new games... most grunts don't last long. Oh! Darn! She picked Grunt Flombay. The smell of grunt stays in the sheets for weeks!

My brethren declined my offer to purchase their furnace. They were obviously delusional, so I put them out of their misery. The poor souls.

Reports from our archon scout in the underworld have stopped. We fear the worst and priest are sent to his family to console them.

A field scout also sends word that orcs are moving toward us. Diplomats have issued warning to the goblin clans that some lines should not be crossed. The halflings have been busy with more promises in the future. Our kingdom shall not fall easily.

I also liberated a nice pet from evil draconian overlords. She'll make a nice addition to my conquering army.

The elves have heard of our plight and have sent some nice nymphs to help us. Our army is growing.

Ah! Dear! The grunt is almost done! One more turn should have him crispy!

No sign of Marinus' peasant since I smoke him out of his hiding place in the forest. But these halflings are a sneaky bunch, so I called in the perfect defense...

A keep, a node, and a goblin: Mab will learn who is king of the Shadow World!

The halflings didn't do much this day. Most just sat around the local tavern listening to the tale of Kipal and the burning bush. Good thing that boy's little legs can really motor.

BTW- I noticed that I haven't registered this game as a WL match yet. Should I register it or should we just leave it? I don't know if there have been any major battles.

Tibbs - Yes. Please register it as a WL game. Or let me know how to do it.

No sign of my grunt appetizer. He may have fallen through the barbecue grill into the ashes. Oh well.

sneaksie hobbitsies! Five now lurking! I guess halflings are horrible story tellers, because they ran out of the tavern into another burning bush!

Lost a swashbuckler. Gained a node.

The forests are burning. After a few quick stone throws at the human scout we got ourselves out of there.

**The game has been registered for WL. Good luck everyone. To register the game all you have to do is reply to this thread:
