Yes, it has been Age of Wonders III set to release Q1 2014.

We'll make it extra shiny to compensate.

I thought everybody on these forums was old and experienced enough to know, that to date NOT ONE of approx. 1.8 Billion Computer Games was EVER released on time

in fact delay of one quarter (or is it two?) would be far below average

So Kudos to Triumph!

Delay is not a bad thing. Rome II demonstrated that by its poor AI and FPS.

I kind of like what they did with M&M X - they basically put it up on sale for alpha in Steam to get player feedback. It is sort of like a pre-order but you can play it as they develop it and it allows the dev team (who is very active) to get immediate feedback on various mechanics and bugs. The entire game is not yet there (just chapter 1) and I *think* they won't release the other chapters till the final release.

I could see such working better with a game like AOW-3 than M&M X (where it seems to be working well) since balance is much more critical in a strategy game than RPG game.
