This is the latest version of Stone and Sea. The original blurb still applies -

"4 Wizards attempt to resurrect the shattered kingdoms of once-proud sea faring races for their own nefarious purposes. A 5th AI controlled Wiz causes mischief. There's nothing revolutionary here, but it should provide a solid gameplaying experience. Lots of opportunities for piracy and AI bashing - though it's best played without a cooperative move to stuff the AI first. All additional info held in the readme and scenario storyline."

Ver1.1 has more varied terrain and a greater number of cities/sites of interest - it's prettier (lol). The AI's scarier. A limited number of customised items and heroes have been added. It now caters for a greater variety of tactical approaches, though there are still key locations and flashpoints. In summary, the bleak feel of the original has been sacrificed to provide a quicker start and more action. Have fun boys and girls - don't get seasick!

Ver1.2 Update - Apologies for anybody that tried 1.1 and took the tigrans. You should find this much easier :)
