Seeing as each forum can have its own specialized logo instead of this one:

...we've decided to take full advantage of this and let you unleash your creativity. Here is your opportunity to design a logo for the General Discussions forum, and also pick a fitting name to accompany it. For example, you might think the forum should be called "Middle Earth Rules". If you win, the forum would be renamed: "Middle Earth Rules" (General Discussions)

Logos should measure no larger than 300 x 100px, and can be entered in this thread. Edit: 300 x 100 is the preferred size, but as long as it isn't larger than the current logo, it is acceptable.

Pictures should match the general color scheme of the forums. Images from the game can be used, but not from the movies.

The winning logo/forum name combination will be used on the forum indefinitely. Staff are welcome to enter.

Deadline for entries is midnight, forum time, Sunday March 19th.

Here's one I did entirely in Paint.

I might try an animated one along these lines but better if a) we're allowed and b) I can get the program to work.

One point: Mine is 300 by 100 pixels, are you sure you don't mean 300 by 150?

Animated is allowed. 300 x 100 is HG's preferred size... which I went over for making the forum logos. Anything under the size of the current logo is ok.

Thanks everyone for you fantastic logos! Now we will put them in one thread and let you all vote on which one you like. We will hold the voting up in General Discussions as it is for this forum that the logos were made. You will find the thread tomorrow nite.

BTW if your logo is not chosen for that area of the forums please hang onto your design as it may just need a quick word change to be a fantastic one for one of the other areas logo's.

EDIT - In case you don't like the "General Discussions" text...

EDIT2 - Go for the citadel, if you accept it. It's my favourite, and the 'General Discussions' text is a bit blurry.
