Topic Subject: Pharaoh/Cleopatra Monuments Chart
posted 11-04-01 05:56 ET (US)
Updated 11-05-2001: Introduced the Sun Temple on the Chart (I forgot it on the first version), and introduced an HTML table with the correct legend, on Post #2. Also, I have corrected Post #4. Future Updates will be reported here (Post #1).

Updated 11-06-2001: In the last version of the Chart, I have included Mastabas as needing wood, but actually they don't need it. That was already corrected. Thanks to pharaohcris for noticing this awful mistake.

Introduction:

Sometimes, when playing a mission in Pharaoh/Cleopatra, you need to build one or even more monuments to achieve the victory. I find very useful, for pre-planning purposes, to know the size of the footprint and what I need to build them.

There is a very good chart on the subject, made by Angel Reckless Rodent, on the Strategy Section of Pharaoh Heaven. Unfortunately, some of the information on the chart is wrong. It also lacks information (only on some monuments) on the amount of each good needed for completing the monument, which I find very useful and some tips on placing the monuments (particularly the Pyramid Complexes' Causeway), for beginners and general troubleshooting, as well.

What I have been trying to accomplish here is to develop a kind of chart that included all the information above. I hope that you find this chart as useful as I do.

Credits:
Most of the information here is based on the work of Angel
Reckless Rodent
, plus some information obtained by myself. There
are some monuments that I have never built, particularly most the new
monuments introduced with Cleopatra, but I did read some posts on
Pharaoh Heaven's Forums, where I found some of the information/tips here.

OK, the Chart is (finally) done!
For correctly viewing the Chart I would recomend an 1024x768 screen definition.
Again, some feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Bye,
Ben The Vizier

Thanks Ben,

I'm always amazed and truly appreciative of the efforts that CB fans exert and then willing to share with the rest of us, this is a trememdous addition to all the other charts produced by others. My only suggestion is to narrow the first three columns which might make it possible to then see the 2 missing columns on the right side when viewed at a lower resolution. I know nothing about the creation of these types of charts so maybe it's not possible. Other than that, this is a marvelous creation... thanks....you da man!!

Thanks pharaohcris, StarKey and Rocky for the kind comments!

Starkey:
You could easily view and print this Chart if you Cut & Paste (Select -> Ctrl+C ->Ctrl + V) it on any WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor (such as Microsoft FrontPage).
But, if you want, I can send you a copy of this Chart "ready-to-print" bye e-mail.

This Chart took a lot of time until it became finished. Anyway, I think the time was worth it.

Bye,
Ben The Vizier

Thanks for the offer Ben,

I'd like that if you sent me a copy, I did change the screen definition to 1024x768 as recommended, but the print is so small for these old eyes of mine. You did a great job with these charts, well worth the time spent.

Excellent work Ben The Vizier!

It is obvious that you spent a lot of time putting this all together. Well done.

I have already sent you the Chart. See the explanation on the body of the message.

VitruviusAIA:
Thanks for the kind comments. I was inspired by your Charts (Housing and Structures), that also are superb. They are very useful for me, for many reasons. I'm also planning to start playing on Normal level very soon, so...

I would very much like to have printer friendly version of your momuments chart.

Hi Mindy,

Sorry, but I do not have the printer-friendly version anymore. But perhaps you (or I) can do one from the tables on this topic .

there are some size-mistakes:
The Alexandria-Libarary is only 10 squares width, not 13.
The length of 14 is right.

the sun-temple is 11 squares width and 10 long.
You sayd 10x10, that is wrong.

I found an error in the game:
I made a mission with Abu Simbel and Sphinx
Both of them need no stone.
Why i hat to add some stone to my raw-materials to let them show up in my monument-list?
