Yes, I am planning for beta-testers. Here is a description of 2 scenarios I listed:
Herakleopolis
"Civil War"
Pharaoh wishes you to create an important military outpost near the cities of
Meidum and Bahariya Oasis. Be forewarned: Libyans, Bedouins and other armies
attack the city frequently, so raise a strong army with archers and
charioteers. Import wood from the new outpost of the Western Desert: Bahariya
Oasis, to make the fine chariots: sometimes, the enemy sends one army, then as
soon as the enemy army symbol appears next to your city, another one appears
from Sharuhen or wherever.
The city of Heh (Semna) have learned of your past and are friends with you.
Since they are laudered with money, they wish to grant gifts of 99 debens
every 2 years. As you play on, however, the cities of Dendera, Lykopolis,
Sharuhen, Byblos, Saqqara and Avaris will demand goods from you. Ignore the
demands and your Kingdom rating will rise. Be ready to help Byblos and
Sharuhen with 'Grain' and 'Figs,' since they are suffering from famine. The
new Red Sea port at Mersa Gawasis will request troops** 20 years into the
mission, so send the troops to get the needed sandstone to complete your
Mausoleum*. Giza will fall to it's enemies after the 1st famine request, then
you'll be asked to send troops to defeat the marauders. Eventually, the
requests will stop (with the exceptions of Invasions, Famine, Extortion and
Gifts from Semna.) Kharga Oasis will require troops so as to save the oasis
city. Defeat them and you'll be on your way to winning the scenario.
Statistics: 1650BC, City is under attack, Small and Medium Pyramids,
Mausoleum, no fishing even though fishing wharves can be built.
* If you get Construction Project requests before the troop request to Mersa
Gawasis, ignore then, then wait for it to come round again.
** If your troops cannot save the distant city of Mersa Gawasis, then a trade
to Elephantine will become available.
Note: When the first Egyptian army attacks message appears, make sure that you
have enough troops, because you will be attacked for at least 6 months.
Egyptian troops are very likely always going to come from Sauty (Lykopolis)
and as this is a water invasion they will land either at the top end of the
map or at the bottom.
Note: Don't bother sending the food for the famine requests, because you will
end up with huge food shortages if you do. If you want, send the troops to
Mersa Gawasis so that sandstone becomes available, then import Grain and Figs
from the same city and this should combat the shortages of food.
UPDATE: A FLOOD PLAIN HAS BEEN ADDED SO YOU CAN USE BOTH THE MEADOW AREA AND
THE FLOOD PLAIN TO MAKE PLENTY OF FOOD.
Gaza
"The Canannite Outpost"
While Pharaoh is doing battle with the Libyans and other enemies, he has
entrusted you with the job of defending our land from marauding Canannites
from Jericho, one of the neighbouring cities of Gaza (your city), which
presently has no food at all. You will be required to build monuments there
to show that the person who resides here defeated some of our old enemies
from Egypt. At the very start of the mission, trade routes to Abusir and
Mersa Gawasis close, then trade opens with Herakleopolis and then, a trading
partner in the distant city of Tyre, at Palestine, closes down. Also, Byblos
will come under attack, so send the money so they can defeat the Hittites*.
Then, Abusir and Mersa will require your troops in a land based form, so send
them quickly to open up trade again. Then Tyre will request troops
(water-based) to defeat an enemy, so make sure to have a couple of transport
ships built to get them there. Enkomi will request 1400 planks of wood not
long after trade with Jericho** opens. Send the wood and trade opens with
Enkomi, allowing the import of a second food type.
Statistics: Some military activity
Raw materials: Wood Cutter, Clay Pit, Gem Mine, Sandstone Quarry, Barley and
Flax Farms, Copper Mine
* If you do not accept any of the money requests from Byblos, the game cannot
be completed, because after you send the 2000 debens to Byblos, your Kingdom
rating increases, then Abusir, Mersa and Tyre will all request troops. Send
the troops and the trade cities open.
** To open the trade city to Jericho, you must defeat the 1st enemy army sent
to you.
