The Competition Board proudly announces the winners of Hammanat.

The experts once again showed why they are experts. And the king of the water carriers goes to Erik Hjortsberg with an astonishing 20,308 people cared for by just one water carrier. As best as I can tell Erik's achievement is near or at the theoretical limit. However, I stopped taking bets on what the possible limits would be a long time ago!

Among the novice players, Akhen was the one who managed to press the poor water carrier into service the best with a superb population result of 9,289.

There were a wide variety of designs and layouts, however, the "X" design shows up frequently in the top layouts. I look forward to a lively discussion from participants on their winning layout design and strategy as well as new things learned in exploiting this much maligned water carrier.

Unbelieveble !

It seems , Erik , when You submit a mission , than You win it .

I was a bit afraid someone (that's you Tomek ) would come along and beat me by 20 citizens after all the work I put into this map (believe me it took some time). My own guess on the theoretical population limit that can be serviced by one watercarrier is somewhere around 22k, possibly a bit higher but not much.

20,300!! That's incredible. Congratulations, Erik, on a spectacular entry.

Whew...I just checked the scoreboard, and now I wish I'd taken the time to clean up my housing here a little bit. The competition is tightening up -- Tomek and Max relatively comfortably in 1st and 2nd (78 and 65 points), with Plebus at 55, me at 54 and Erik at 52. The last weekend is going to be interesting...

Congrats to everybody, especially Erik and Akhen... and also to Plebus, because his 17+K is a terrific result, too! When I heard from Bradius his results from the test runs, I thought around 15-17K will be the maximum what can be achieved, but was almost sure that no-one will be able to discover it in this limited time. I supposed the best results will be slightly above 10000. You have proven me wrong... again. Congratulations, you are true masters!

Everybody has done well, and from my own experience with this mission, any result above 7000 is very good.

Hey! It's WOW! from me too!

I knew that there could be a much higher number than mine, but never expected 20K!!!
Well Done EriK! and ALL!

I did not consider mine to be a great number even in the Novice Category. My experiments showed me that there is a clear possibility of much more improvements.

It was really a very interesting Map as it was off the Norm!
Congratulations to all participants and Most of all to Bradius! Baltic! and the CB!

I'm impressed! I found it difficult enought persuading the litle sod to walk along 2 roads, I never even considered trying four!

I thought I'd done pretty well on this one Ah, well...

I'm dying to see some of the winning entries on download!

Everyong, especially the winners, would you please upload your final saves to the download section? I would be very interested to see the winning results! I have never heard of this 'X' shape design....

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
Every time I think I've posted a decent result, along comes another result to make mine look like something I threw together in twenty minutes.
Congrats guys.

Hi Tomek ,
sorry for the late answer, but I had to visit a training course on Monday and Tuesday.
Yes, the city was very stable and had 7 PEs, I played it until May 41 in order to avoid unemployement.
Considering the results, it was a waste of time
Now I have the following situation:
- I'll definitely not play at the weekend
- I'll definitely omit Ahfra
- I have 3 nights to produce a valid attempt for BuryHero and WadiHassen
But, hey, I'm not complaining, I've still a lot of fun playing these well designed missions in a highly competitive situation

Dear competitors,

Since that mission has tortured all water carriers worldwide they seem to be on strike. For many, many missions my housing blocks had been stable without any invention for decades, but since Hammanat I've always to check for water access. There is enough micromanaging without those checks!

Or is this behaviour implemented in mission design???
