So, where were we... Oh yes! Once upon a time, there was a little wooden house on the outskirts of the bustling town, surrounding the castle on top of the green hill. The house had been abandoned for at least a decade, a home to rats and the playground of stray cats. A couple of the window shutters were hanging half open on old rusty hinges, green paint peeling, and would bang loudly in the cold winds that blew down from the mountains to the north. Several window panes were smashed, whether by the banging shutters or by people who clearly didn't live in glass houses, nobody is quite sure. The old chimney was crooked and missing a brick or two. But today, something was not as it had been yesterday, and the house creaked in protest.

There have been murmurings about the strange things going on... and rumours that the plotters are locals! Root them out, one by one, before they sieze control of the town and this fairytale becomes a nightmare...

Adder: Gretel (Townie) had a fatal overdose of gingerbread, Day 4.
Street Hobo: Jack (One-shot vigilante) had a fatal overdose of axe, Night 4.
Niempie: The Ugly Stepsister (Scum) is now one with the pavement, Night 4.
Nonchalant: Prince Charming (seeking Mason), endgame casualty.
HoJ: Hansel (townie), endgame casualty.

Rules... You know them all already, so I am not wasting time or space on repeating them, but these are the most important:

1. DO NOT POST AFTER YOU'RE DEAD. NO HAUNTING EITHER. Oh, ok, you can post 1 smiley once if you need to show your feelings about being killed, but nothing more!

2. Warn me if you expect you'll be away from the game for longer than a day. I will warn you if I expect to be away.

3. Until HoJ and Debbie return, you'll be unable to lynch them, but they're fair game once they're back and posting.

4. There's only one additional rule, a slight twist, a-la Survivor (Outback or Africa, I can't remember):

In the event of a two-way split vote at the end of the day (50% vs 50%), the tied player with the most votes during the course of the game will die. For these purposes, only those votes that stand at the end of each game day will be tallied. If this does not break the tie, the day will end with a no-lynch.

So, for example, if the following is the situation at sunset on day 4...

Player A gets 0 votes day 1, 1 vote day 2, 0 votes day 3, 2 votes day 4.
Player B gets 2 votes day 1, 0 votes day 2, 1 vote day 3, 2 votes day 4.
Player C gets 2 votes day 1, 2 votes day 2, 0 votes day 3, 0 votes day 4.
Player D gets 1 vote day 1, 1 vote day 2, 1 vote day 3, 0 votes day 4.

... then Players A and B are tied. However, Player B will be lynched, having received 3 votes over the first three days, compared to Player A's 1 vote.

I feel it's important for all concerned to know how stalemates will be resolved, so there you go.

I really like that rule I do have computer access for today (today only, tomorrow is another travel day, back to the south where the flowers are blooming and theres no snow on the ground) so its up to Ovidius if I'm fair game now or not (I would hope not, I hope just posting today doesn't qualify me as fair game once they're back and posting

There really doesn't seem to be much happening. Random votes don't mean anything.

the only thing with day starts is that no one knows anything about anyone but themselves (except the mafia). I kinda like day starts but unless someone actually makes a mistake (low probability) we usually end up with a no lynch and go into night anyway. At least with night starts even though someone ends up dead, we might get some cop information or a no kill if the doc gets lucky.

On the other hand, its been a long time since I read any fairy tales....anybody got any idea on who could be living next door to the couple? Is there any character that would likely be a doc or a cop?

I doubt if we're going to get a lynch on day 1. I think the deadline is almost here. I don't even have a vague suspicion of anyone right now.
