ODV Pangea version 1.0
=========================

Title: ODV Pangea
File: ODVPan1.zip
Files in ZIP: ODV Pangea.rmv, ODV Initial Units.rmv, ODV Terrain Painting.rmv,
Pangea.rmv
Version: 1.0
Last Modified: Jan 10, 2002
Author: One Dead Villy
Credits: ODV Pangea is based on the Large Island Map of EE from SSSI.
I Like to thank Stainless Steel Studios and Sierra for allowing
us to play with these scripts.

Description: This map creates a land mass that puts each player on opposite
sides of a large proto continent, which can contain inland lakes
or bays. There may be small outer islands, and if there are many
unaligned players some may start on an island. The main continental
mass is also densely filled with trees, which make walling off the
land sides worthwhile. The trees in center on larger maps often
form tree maze with tight corridors criss-crossing the forests.
Resources are a little more harder to come by, but there is plenty
of fishing available. The amount of trees also make real estate
a premium and mass farming may be difficult, so rely on fishing.
Also if you start after the prehistoric age, players do not get
a starting pumpkin patch so fishing becomes even a bigger priority.
The general idea of this map is to encourage major sea battles and
coastal defenses, with sneak armies to cross the continent. Look
out for barbarians to crawl effortlessly through the forests through.
The animals found will be different depending on the climate, either
grassland, desert of winter. The chicken returns once again in the
grassland maps! The mineral resources also has their background
terrain modified to make them more visible and easier to distingish
from each other.

Updated the comments/description since I forgot to mention that the map does not contain a starting pumpkin patch if you start after the prehistoric. Sorry about that!

Excellent RMS, I believe. These types of games seems to be a bit more realistic than playing the continental maps. The extra amount of fish actually make naval warfare more important than any other map.

Nice job.

This map kinda crazy, i played this map much, but the uneven spots r bad, 1 time i started on a island which was small as a Farm !? That need to be fixed, the spots in the maps shoulda been more even, the rest of the map is ok, some new, good looking.

Yes sometimes the maps are kinda wierd, but it was a compromise with the majority of the generations and the behaviour I wanted for them. I blame the EE scripting language, cause I worked on this one a dogs age, much longer compared to ODV Penninsula. :-)
shineonme good map but like stifflers mum said bad startin points. One time i ended up starting on a tiny bit of land connected to the other parts and no room to build at all.Still good map
