The zip file in this download is named 'Khan-Baliq.zip' and contains a map file named 'Khan-Baliq.map'. After downloading the zip file, unzip the map into the folder: \SIERRA\EmperorRotMK\Cities. That will make it available for selection in Open play, or for viewing in the editor.

This is a modified version of the last map from the "Builder for the Great Khans" custom campaign. It is 'enormous' in size, and has a temperate climate. It is easier to play than the version in the campaign, because it has been modified to provide more options for use in Open Play.

A list of the modifications that are included on it is as follows:

1. Eight fishing points were added to the river.

2. Iron deposits were added to a hill east of the river.

3. Salt marshes were added in the south.

4. A ridgeline in the southeast corner just west of the river was lowered, to allow access to the river by fishermen and/or water trade.
