A long, long time ago (in 2003), I attempted to build a city of 100,000 people with perfect harmony, on normal difficulty.
During the second test run I actually reached 100,000, and then lost interest. This test run was played on very easy difficulty and misses a few rocks so it doesn't have perfect harmony.
I just found a saved game of this city, and decided to share it.
Some trivia:
- All people are fed on a diet of fish, salt, and imported spices
- The city has 81% unemployment
- Hemp and tea are imported to save on space and building slots for farms
- Bean curd is imported for the new year's festival
- The entire city consists of 1354 Luxurious Apartments
- If you let the saved game run for a while, the population will increase a little and then drop because some houses devolve due to lack of food |

THis is really symmetrical, kinda boring actually but at least I saw what it looked like :D
These high numbers make me sad though becuase it looks like you reached the limit there, nothing else to do and I know now that u can't go higher then 100k :(
So no 1 million Cities for me ;/
If it was even historical
But it wouldn't look like this :P |

This city was built with the original building and walker limits: no changes were made to the game (I doubt that's even possible). The building limit was no problem since I had calculated that beforehand. The walker limit was causing a lot of instability after 90k population. |

As far as I know there's no way to increase the building/walker limits in the game. This city was designed to stay (barely) within those limits. |

I'm sorry, I built this city somewhere in 2003, and after 17 years I no longer have any of the Emperor files. |

I edited a few points in this save file, now the population usually stays around 100000 people, There will be no heavy population decline.
