Finished in 2 years, 4 months.
The forest bug gets annoying, but designers insist on exploiting it. Free deletes cancels out any funds depletion. Just doubled the play time getting the 1 logging shed to act normal, not that a player needs to bother with it for this mission.
Armel;
Why Elite housing?
If you wanted only 'Common Market' available then remove Elite Housing. There are market shop issues and a player might beg Silk(I didn't try) from the ally you gave the player. Unexpected ease with the continuation mission could result. |

It's true that there is a forest bug. It also happened me in Kyoto, the woodcutters went to a far point to obtain the wood. Why happen this? Is it possible to avoid it when designing the map?
And It's also true that I was doubting either to allow or not the elite housing in this mission.
I wanted to give to the player the ability to create foundations of a strong city, but without even allowing the evolution of the elites.
When designing the mission I didn't realize that one could use good relationship with the first Yamato settlement to bypass the theoretical limitit that I intented in the evolution of elite housing, but if you recommend me I will eliminitate the option, after all at this moment on the story It's not worth much.
Again, User3, many thanks for testing the campaign and provide a test of such quality.
Cheer up with Kanazawa! (For me it was the most difficult) :P
PS- Do you mind if when I update the campaign I add some links to your completed cities downloads?[Edited on 10/07/17 @ 02:02 PM]

Logging sheds normally look for the nearest tree. If a large Oak or Pine tree happens to be nearby they may favor that direction to illuminate isolated trees in other directions. When huge numbers of these large Oak & Pine trees exist the logging shed algorithm is overwhelmed pulling them to too far from their home building.
To avoid the larger tree groupings simply leave some open spaces between groupings and don't multi-click a tree on top of existing trees too often. Click the re-calculate terrain icon and delete undesired larger Oak & Pine trees, click re-calculate terrain icon again. Repeat as needed.
I think the scale of 1 tile=100feet x 100feet is a good conversion estimate for terrain & buildings sizes. [30meters x 30meters] You could use a smaller/larger sizing estimate, but not much more then half or double.
1300th century BCE, I would think didn't have much use for Elites in town as the leadership stayed in their villages, called when the overlord sent a runner to muster his vassal's troops. City/Imperial courtship wouldn't have begun until nearer the common era when commerce overtook tributes/bartering.
You can link to the download page, but don't Hotlink to the file, per Heavengames rules.[Edited on 10/08/17 @ 12:38 AM]

We've relaxed the rule about hotlinking to files. |

User3, As per the bug, even when I love the massification of trees (because I like nature, but also because it adds the cleared land cost difficulty) I will lower the quantity of forest in v2.0.
Respect the date, When the Chinese were using steel, silk, paper, and a high-burochratic system, the Japanese were living in tribal form without any political system. When the chinese were using writing, The Japanese not.
As I explain in the PDF file that goes in the .zip file, I needed to use strange combination in dates to be in the same technical scheme than the Japanese people.
Acording to the PDF, the second mission happens in some point around year 0 bc/ce.
Anyway, I've been thincking about the elite housing on this mission, and I wil eliminate the option in the v2.0 as I promised you.
About download links, I will add -If you still allowing me- your gameplays download page links (not files links) so that players looking for some clues could read your review first.

I'm always respectful. :)
yeah, one has to think 'outside the box game' sometimes. :)

save point thing
Fine with me, that's what there for, so interested players can explore another's approach in city building. |
