The gates work. Thats why u see the gates open with the horseman standing there.
No replace effect. No saved game opened up in the editor.
This effect uses Hank's copy/paste units trick, the one where u select a group of units and alt+shift doubleclick on them.
First put 4 wall segments together. Then select all 4 walls and alt+shift doubleclick them, then place them where u want them. Then repeat the copy/paste on the same 4 walls and place them exactly ontop of the placed 4 walls, except move them to the side so 1 of the 4 walls being moved is not overlapped, and u see 5 wall segments. Now...on the objects section, select the gate for the walls and click on the 5 walls just to one side of the illuminated green gate wall segment till it makes a 3 tiled gate with 2 walls on the outside of the gate on both sides. Remove the 2 walls.
You now have a 3 tiled gate with a 1 tile opening.
The thing that makes this trick work is that the copy/paste trick allows walls to be put ontop of other walls and also gates.
The gates in the picture are layed diagonally, not side to side. Thats why there are gaps between the gate. Side to side allows the gates to be next to eachother.
