It is now time for the first RoLH Screenshot Contest! In this contest, all forumers are invited to make a custom screenshot within the RoL editor and submit their favorite screenie to the contest. Hopefully this will be the first of many future RoLH screenshot and other design contests.

The contest also has a theme which all of the participants' screenies must some-what follow. The current theme is: An Evening Raid. Your screenshot should show a city being attacked or about to be attacked by an enemy army.

Anyone can particpate, but all screenies must be posted in this thread by June 24 to be counted. Voting will occur June 25 through June 27.

Rules/Guidelines:

You may only enter 1 custom screenie

Custom mods and skins are allowed in this contest

You may not edit your screenshot in any program outside of the RoL editor (ex: Photoshop, Gimp, etc.)

All screenshots must be posted here by the current deadline (June 24, 2006)

Screenies must be added to the RoLH Creations Gallery

Screenies must go along with the current theme (An Evening Raid)

Try to take your screenshot with the highest graphics level. If this isn't possible with your computer, I might make another category for lower graphic levels. But, let's hope we can do this with just one category.

After the deadline, this thread will be closed and no more screenies may enter until the next screenshot contest. A new thread will be made for everyone to vote on their favorite three screenshots, and the winner will be determined by how many votes their screenshot received.

Prize: Though there will be no actual prize, the winner will get his/her screenshot shown on the main page in a news article and the second and third placed participants will be mentioned. The winner can also help determine the theme of the next contest.

Wow stormlegion....that's simply amazing

I am now convinced that this editor is very powerful, if you know how to use it. I need to still play around w/ the editor a bit before entering these contests...switching from Age-of-style to RoL-style is difficult

All screenshots are now due by June 24. When we approach June 24, the date may be extended if people still need more time.

Edit: How about I give you guys until July 1? I know it's longer than I want, but I will be gone during the last week of June.

We can go back to June 24 or an earlier date if that's what people want. But, again, I'll be out of town on that week. So, Shala or ODA would have to manage the voting.

thnx.. i'll try to make a good screenie.. but my pc sucks, i can't get it on anything above the lowest.
