Playability: 5
Ran smoothly, with no bugs or gameplay issues, so I don't see why this should be anything other than a 5.
Balance: 5
Well balanced, though this is largely because most of the scenario was like a normal game. Still there were no problems, so no marks deducted.
Creativity: 5
The idea is totally original. No doubt about that. It is even the smaller things that make this a unique scenario, like how at the start different units will say different things to Archimedes.
However, later in the game, there is nothing original, as it feels like you are just playing a normal solo game.I would have liked to have seen more decisions, more events, and more of Archimedes' inventions. Basically, it would have been nice if most, if not the whole scenario, was based around a role playing element, rather than just the first ten minutes or so. Also, just a minor detail, you should have improved the stats of the catapult to give them more importance once they have been invented.
Map Design: 4
I really don't want to ruin your perfect streak of fives, but this scenario's map design is somewhat average, and didn't appear to be much more than a random map. Syracuse for example is just like a normal starting city but with a couple of houses added. Syracuse, and the other cities on the map for that matter, should have much more detail, to give the impression of a living, breathing city, which I'm sure Syracuse was. You perhaps could have made another nation that would be exclusively for town decoration, and this way you could add extra markets and other buildings like that without affecting gameplay.
Story/Instructions: 5
You did an excellent job with this. Not only did you provide a detailed storyline and background, you made some very good guides. I would give you a 10/5 here if I could, because it is obvious you put a lot of effort into this because both the story and instructions are excellent.
Additional Comments:
This scenario is very well done, and features like the voiceovers help make it feel like a professional scenario, but the map and the lack of events after the first 10 minutes or so detract from this. I'm sorry I've been a bit harsh compared to other reviews, but overall though, it's a great effort, a great result and I would love to see more scenarios from you. [Edited on 03/06/12 @ 01:42 PM]
