atm, playing the Greeks, have 4.8 mill and still got a bit to go in the game .... im too rich, causing all my governors to become way too extravagant and corrupt ... gah

what periods in time are we looking at here? or what areas of map? (I've never held the Greek cities yet)

My record is about 100,000 , I've always got something to spend (although in my new game I'm specialising the cities, ie cav city, missile city etc)

I've never gone up into the millions, but I had about 70,000 denarii that was jsut sitting around, I think it was in my Carthage campaign, but I could be wrong. Lets just say you can buy some very powerful allies *cough*Egypt*cough* with enough money

Darn, and I thought the 356000 I have with Carthage was good.

Imho.

The single richest area in the game: Mesopotamia.

It makes sense then to beleive that the faction capable of making the most money is the Selucids. This would be fitting with my gaming experiences. I frequently break the five million mark using them.

Pre Marius at 219 BC with the Brutii I have 338,000 or there abouts and in control of 26 areas on H/H.

Definatly the richest in the game. Easily expands into Mesopotamia and Greece, in the middle of the map. Definatly the best in terms of cash.

Okay, whats the most amount of money you've ever had WITHOUT cheating? (bloody cheaters)

The most I've ever accumulated (no cheating, not counting after meeting the win condition) was only about 500,000 with the greek cities. The two poorest campaigns i've played were Gaul, and now Parthia. Of course, I am in the process of taking over the seleucid and egyptian lands so that will all change.

I am not poor, its just that I dont save my money unless I 4get about it. I just go to the shop and buy games n stuff.

In the GAME I havent completed the campgn yet, but so far I have had about 80,000 with the Julii. Thats when I was conquoring gaul.

As the Selucids, Greeks, Macedonians, or Romans, it's easy to accumulate wealth while still building in every settlement, and training where needed.

Although, I AM on medium...

2 million as Greece. I held Egypt-Palestine-Cyprus-South Anatolia trade by that time, along with the Sicily-Italy-Carthage trade. Of course the Aegean Trade.

about 500000. but i dont sit around and let it build up. if im not killing someone in in a city retraining my troops after successfully killing someone, or on my way to kill someone.
