Every so often, Terikel Grayhair, Grand Master Skald and greatest bard among us, opens the Lists to the likes of us, the denizens of the Bardic Circle; we become the Lords of the Quill.

This thread, as they are not recorded elsewhere, is designed to immortalise these contests: the Sepia Jousts.

So far, there have been two jousts, to each of which only two proud contestants entered - and each of which was won by the Grand Master Skald.

Perhaps the next Joust will see another take the crown of victory...

This would make a good page on the Main Site.

Especially if more participate and this becomes a tradition.

Alternatively, there could be a whole "Sepia Jousts Discussion" thread sticky, with the archive as part of the OP.

Sorry, but I don't want to clutter up the forum with too many stickies.

Stickies are posted on the top of the forum screen- too many, and the new posts below are not seen. So I am very careful about stickying something.

You will notice that each Sepia Joust announcement is stickied- and when it is over, it is unstickied. The announcement thread is not locked, so it serves as the discussion thread.

Very true. But you wouldn't have to keep unstickying them if there was just one that served for all. It needn't be this one, obviously.

But then this sticky would be visible when there was no Joust.

This is a better version of your idea. It is accessible from the Community Header of the RTWH Front Page.
