Also, both players must be signed up on the ladder in order for it to count.

To make it less awkward to update the ladder rankings, please only post results in this thread. All discussion of results can take place in the General thread.

Please state your results as shown-

I'm a point behind Wolf, who got to Gaius first
It was a fun battle, and here are the screen shots (Complete with Gaius and I chatting)

I believe Gaius is going to upload the replay, too.

Aside from his chasing my crossbowmen, it looks like EoJ could have beat me in his sleep. Everything I had just routed before the battle started:

Copy and paste the URL, then delete the odd little space thingy in the word "Papacy" towards the end of the URL. Dunno why that space is in there though...

Yeah, I tried fixing it, but it always comes up.

OKies. And I was just kidding when I said I can't count it unless a screenshot was up

'Twas a fun battle, in any case.

I got to fight EoJ, but oddly enough I lost

hopefully it was at least partly due to my slightly eccentric set-up rather than innate lack of skill, but time will tell

Date- Sunday 6th April 2008
Victor- Enemy of Jupiter, England
Loser- SwampRat, HRE

I think EoJ will be posting a replay showing my units being conquered having already divided themselves up (it wasn't me gov, they just didnt like each other).

I lost nearly half my men in that battle. I think I'll stick with Venice- I use the cavalry better

Couple of matches here, first off against EoJ. I managed to sneak in a victory here:

[JPEG, (103.66 KB)]
[JPEG, (106.24 KB)]
[JPEG, (105.20 KB)]

Then I faced off against Swamprat. Not so lucky there:

[JPEG, (93.39 KB)]
[JPEG, (99.42 KB)]
[JPEG, (97.23 KB)]

After that loss I went and picked on Gaius:

[JPEG, (102.67 KB)]

Pretty full day, I think there were other battles today with other people as well. Well, I've procrastinated enough, back to work for me then...

And fighting off all challengers to the bottom of the table is your good seraph.

I'll just post the unit breakdown to avoid confusion -
against Gaius it was my horses that won it for me, they killed almost everyone that died it seems (ok, I counted, 503 out of 1400, its still a lot), also they didnt break when i charged them into stupid places. I didn't take a shot of my serpentine kills, stupidly, but in game 2 of the 3 units didn't to me appear to be firing properly...

Against Wolf, it was more the heavy infantry having upgrades on my side that seems to be a key point, that and the map played in my favour

Good games, much enjoyed. Is it good to duplicate replays from the other side, or is that just a waste of every one's time - I have replays of both these two battles and can upload them if anyone wants.

Hang on, let's sort out the order of battles.

All games 6th April-
Swamp (France) beat Gaius (Venice)
Wolf (Portugal) beat EoJ (Scotland)*
Swamp (Hungary) beat Wolf (England)**
EoJ (Venice) beat Gaius (Spain)***
Wolf (France) beat Gaius (Spain)

*Congrats Wolf Very well played

**This lasted for ages. Really. Gaius and I had logged off, done something (Him cook, I watch Dr. Who), come back, and had a battle with time to spare.

***This wasn't a battle, it was a dogpile. Really. We both set up on the same side, and Gaius got off to the quicker start by charging with his multitudes of cavalry, I responding likewise. After that we just plonked every unit we had in, and Gaius had the uphill advantage. From Gaius' point of view on the replay, watch for a Hospitaller knight unit breaking off, coming round the back and starting to charge stuff, and on the left the archers and crossbowmen having a duel which I think Gaius won until they went into hand-to-hand.

I'll claim a victory here, even if it was sneaky in two ways - low money (7k) and flanking by hidden units

I beat EoJ - woohoo :0). It doesnt matter how underhanded it was, it counts (I hope it does, please)

Monday, 14 April, 2008.
Poqzt (Russia) beat EoJ (Spain)

Excellent play by Poqzt- for some reason or another I was left reeling- possibly my cavalry at fault this time.

I'm hoping this won't turn into a losing streak
