French Revolution Mafia

Hosted by FlyingMonkey

The year is 1793. The Revolutionaries have gained control of Paris, and set up a government to replace the opressive French monarchy. The French nobles were exiled, but they have banded together and are formulating a plan to gain back the power that was abruptly taken from them. Conflict runs rampart among the members of the Revolution, with competing factions arising within the Revolutionary government. Meanwhile, all across Europe, foreign leaders are constantly watching Paris. They fear that the Revolution will spread, and dream of expanding their borders and conquering the chaotic nation. Will the Revolution be able to survive the internal and external threats it now faces and unify the country? Or will it fall apart at the seams and plunge France into decades of disorder and violence? It is your task to determine the fate of a country at war with itself and others...

Rules:
If you break one of these rules, you will be either warned, replaced, or modkilled, depending on which rule it is and the severity.

  • Please bold your votes. This isn't necessary, and I won't punish you for not doing it, but it makes it a lot easier for me to count them. Especially in a game with a large number of people.
  • Lynches require a majority of votes. Once a player has reached the majority, his/her pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be ignored. You may also vote for no lynch.
  • NO EDITING YOUR POSTS.
  • Don't post often during the night. A little small talk is allowed to keep the thread bumped, but keep night posting to a minimum. Do not reveal any important game information.
  • No communication with other players during the night unless your role allows it. Check my daybreak post every day to see whether or not open communication is allowed for that day. I will specify every day whether or not you are allowed to communicate.
  • Once your death scene has been posted, stop posting. You can make a farewell post or two, but no discussion of the game.
  • Do not quote anything I say outside of the thread. This includes your role emails when you are claiming. Paraphrase please.
  • You have roughly 48 hours from the time of my "it's now night" post to submit night actions (Except for Night 0). The deadlines are approximate, don't piss youself if it's a few hours past the deadline and I haven't updated. I'll be getting to it soon. If you have a night choice to make, it's due within the 48 hour deadline. If you don't send in an action, you won't make one. I won't wait for anyone.
  • Days will last until one player has a majority of the votes, as long as discussion is active. If discussion slows down, I may impose a flexible deadline. It will be removed if discussion picks up.
  • If you think I've made a mistake with something regarding your role and/or night action, tell me privately, not in the thread. You can reach me via email or MSN at FlyingMonkey3190@gmail.com

As I said in the other thread, night will end in approximately 24 hours. Don't complain, you've had a few days to get night actions in already. Read the rules. Especially the one about open communication.

Some people don't like to send in night actions as soon as they're confirmed you know. Just wait, it's Mafia, you need patience.

Although he was from a far away land, the killer had quickly adapted to moving without being seen in the busy streets of Paris. He approached his target, who apparently was on a secret mission of his own. Striking quickly, he plunged his knife deep into the back of his target, Jacques Hebert. Hebert fell to his knees, then face first onto the pavement. The knife had punctured his lung. Hebert struggled, trying desperately to keep breathing, but he couldn't. The killer examined the body of his victim, searching for clues as to what he was up to. He found identification papers from the "Cult of Reason", with orders to check for possible recruits.

Jacques Hebert (NA Lord Blaine), a cult investigator, is dead.

After years of exile, French nobility had finally returned to Paris, seeking vengence. A hitman crept along the streets, searching for the building in which his target lived and worked. He found it, pryed the front door open, and headed inside. He snuck up the stairs, searching for the bedroom. He slowly opened the door, where he saw his target lying asleep. The killer raised his pistol, and fired once into the man's chest before sprinting back out the door and knocking over a man in a white coat in the process. Suspecting foul play, the man entered the door to the house and proceeded to the bedroom, where he found the victim lying in bed, still alive. Luckily, this man in a white coat was a doctor, and he was able to bring the victim to a nearby hospital and remove the bullet. He would make a full recovery.

An attempt has been made on yakcamkir's life.

As the citizens wake, they notice the gates to the city are bolted shut. There will be no open communication during this day.

It is Day 1. 13 to lynch. Check your email before posting.

I would rather think that it was a SK. I am quit sure that the second is a mafia though.

I'd imagine the nobility are the mafia, with their godfather probably being a blood descendant of Louis XIV.

If anyone has any leads or suspicions then they'd be best publicised.
