Some of you might know me as the infamous music thread creator! But I must admit I've refrained from creating any for quite a long time and I can stand it no longer!

Seeing as we have many new members I would like to know well what kind of music they're into and what better way to do that then through the 'Rate The Song Above You' thread!

Highest Rated Songs (8 - 10):

Weather With You - Crowded House
Take Five - Dave Brubeck
Faun - Von den Elben
Dead Souls - Joy Division
Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand
Mass Destruction - Faithless
We No Speak Americano - Yolanda Be Cool vs DCUP
Horehronie - Kristina (Eurovision)
For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica
Rockstar - Nickelback
Far Away - Nickelback
Come Fly With Me - Frank Sinatra
Paralyzer - Finger Eleven
Hero - Skillet
Ayo For Yayo - Andre Nickatina
Peace Of Mind - Boston
Carry On My Wayward Song - Kansas
Dust In The Wind - Kansas
Into Dust - Mazzy Star
True Faith - New Order
Never Too Late - Three Days Grace
Ezy Rider - Jimi Hendrix
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Back In Black - AC/DC
Reefer Man - Cab Calloway
Transmission - Joy Division
Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick - Ian Dury & The Blockheads
I Fought The Law (And The Law Won) - The Bobby Fuller Four

Ok I will start off for now, the first person to comment just has to rate their opinion on the song out of 10 (6/10), then post your own song.

Go!

Well I'll give it a 0/10, as 'This video contains content from EMI, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds'

Well, 'Weather with You' gets an 8/10 from me. I think it's my favourite Crowded House song.

The video above I guess I could give a 6/10. Not really my thing; it's a bit overblown.

This song grew on me after I listened to it a second time:

Unfortunately, the cheering obscures part of the beginning guitar riff. This is a clearer (but non-embeddable) version.

Nice, 7/10, not really heard any of Tom Petty's stuff but it sounds cool.

Haha I've only got into these recently but I just love the video!

7/10. I don't mind Talking Heads at all, though I would rank And She Was higher.

Yeuch! Okay-ish backing, repetitive melody and ugly singing. 5/10. Punic's one is good though; maybe a tad too nationalist for my tastes... 7/10.

Sonic Youth aren't not in everyones taste , but I like the fact that they can make a new tune in their songs, a lot like Radiohead do.

I'm sure show tunes are to some people's tastes, but not really to mine. 5/10

Not my taste, but the tune is soothing, but not a great fan of the lyrics. For me it made it bad. 5.5/10?

Btw, anyone care if I do Eurovision? I ask because I know a few who absolutely hate it lol.

6/10. It has a sorta catchy tune. and just post (video)link(/video), with [] instead of ()

feature=related

Edit: Since you asked nicely (And I forgot sorry to post one.) 8/10.

Why it's not actually a song he dose sing for the most part. I do get a laugh out of it though .

5/10, this is in no way because it's in a different language by the way. I just don't I like it that much, although it is bearable.

5/10 was just for me or the audio was, even in maximum, incredibly low?
