For Alexander and BI its Expanded bi.txt
For RTW its also exapnded bi.txt, except in RTW/Data/text

To change the faction names you will have to edit the following files in the Data\text folder:

strat.txt - Contains the victory/defeat messages
shared.txt - Contains the faction names themselves
expanded.txt - Sets the faction name for agents, settlements, etc... on the Strat Map, as well as in event messages.
expanded_bi.txt - Does the same.
campaign_descriptions.txt - The descriptions you see when selecting a faction at the beginning of a campaign.
menu_english.txt - Contains faction name you see in the menus.

Note: You MUST NOT edit the names on the left in the curly brackets{}. These are hard-coded entires that the game uses as pointers, while the actual text it displays is to the right.
