be great if it was because that is the only thing that let down RTW as well as Carthages bad postion and the map being too small

If you download MM, or RTR the maps bigger and carthage is stronger.

Anywho if you read the previews the AI is supposed to have gotten alot better.

the AI is greatly improved

though to play against the AI at its best you have to play on the hardest difficulty

Hahahahah! Ah haha, hahah!

The AI is the same on ALL difficulty levels. The only difference is that on the various levels the morale is different.

The AI will be "better", even if not improved, because there are no more phalanxes and Cavalry has been toned down. In RTW, Phalanxes and cavalry were too complicated for the AI commander to handle. Futhermore, the new Schilitron formation adds ease to battle management for the AI.

BK 101 are you speaking from first hand experience?

do you work for sega or CA?

if its just another assumtpion because of what RTW was then just take my word for it... the AI has been greatly improved

Bk is right about the AI in different difficulties: they are the same. However, there are also attack penalties in adddition to morale ones.

We have actualy worked to improve the combat model and AI for BI.

You should see a noticeable improvement in both for BI.

I believe there are also plans for a seperate patch for RTW.

Excellent, Intrepid, thanks! After all, the biggest downfall with Single Player is that in battles, Very Hard just means that you can't launch any risky moves otherwise your men will rout, while the computer executes the same foolish tricks as it does in moderate. It gets people into the bad habit of playing too carefully instead of taking interesting risks that can provide awesome results online.

what id love, personally, is the orginal rtw with much improved AI and MM map that would be sweet maybe people who have the orginal could trade it in for the new version i seriously think you would make customers very happy the idea and graphics behind the game is so good it seems a shame to spoil it with small map and lame AI

The original RTW map is far from small.

Yea, to be honest, the original map is actually huge, it's just that the MM map is enourmous.

once uve played MM RTW is never the same again plus MM more accurate and gives empire like Parthia and Selecuids more reason to be feared as an empire
