Greece: I like to build up my barracks in Sparta because of the temple of Nike and the ability to produce Spartans. In my campaign I captured both Corinth and Athens and lost Pergamum to Pontus, but haven't got much further. Funny thing: I managed to ally with all 4 Romans but then the Brutii attacked me and the other Romans all canceled alliance with eachother. They still managed to all declare war on me, but I no longer face a unified Rome.

Macedon: You need to either wipe out the Greeks fast or ally with them. Since you say you have Sparta I guess allying is no longer an option.

Conquering all off Greece is an obvious priority. After that you'll proboably need to move against the Romans. I find them to be more dangerous than Thrace. Get Kydonia (the town on Crete). Once it grows enough to let you build a port it's a good source of income and you can pick up some excellent mercenaries by the way.

I didn't pay much attention, but don't the Spartans already have the Lambda shield? The armored hoplites do.

Rome Total Realism reskinned almost every unit in the game and made a whole lot of new ones. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm curious to see what they did with the Greeks. I wouldn't look for the red cloaks, though. The Spartans didn't wear them into combat itself, and much better historians than I worked on RTR.

Worth a try, though.

I know they didnt wear red cloaks when they actualy fought but they do look quite scary in them lol i would install rtr but it seems realy complacated to install, i might try it though.

I assume you're asking about RTW, not BI. For Greece, there is a strategy article Opening Moves - Greece in our RTWH strategy section, penned by our own Seraph (and now member of HeavenGames FMT) Adder!

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be one for Macedon, an oversight we may have to correct

There are also some incredibly detailed walkthroughs on the net which are sooooo good, they almost verge on cheating. I wouldn't recommend using them unless you're really not enjoying the struggle and the learning process in the game, but they are there if you really need them.

Even though i have read it a couple of times before and i dont find it very helpful no offence could you recomend any of these macedonian walkthroughs please.

See the following:

General Strategy for Macedonians

General Strategy for Greek Cities

Some of the recommendations are dated if you're playing a version that's been updated (patched) since release of the game, particularly recommendations to bribe everything in sight. But a lot of the information is excellent advice and can significantly help you if you're having trouble with general strategy and focus of your efforts.

Check back with us after you've tried some of the advice in the walkthroughs. And if you're having specific problems still, you can bring those back to the forum and ask advice from other members. Just be sure to explain in detail what problems you may be having. GL, HF!
