Here's the problem: the other day, my dad, who knows nothing about computers, wiped the hard drive because he thought that several games I had installed on the C drive were interfering with Windows. Today I reinstalled Rome on the D drive (the C has no space, can't support Rome, the D huge amounts). Well, as is typical for the posts on here, when I try to load campaign or any form of battle, it now crashes straight to Windows. I followed the "how to manually uninstall Rome" thread step-by-step, and have uninstalled and reinstalled this thing about 5 times. To no avail. I've done everything recommended in clearing the registry, etc. An interesting thing, however, is that when I uninstall and then reinstall (and after following all instructions on how to completely erase Rome from the registry and computer), the game behaves as though it was still on the system after erasing it (I do not have to go through the tutorial again, and the settings for the campaign when I try to begin always stay as I had set them before). One thing that worries me is that I cannot find that "TheCreativeAssembly" file that is supposed to be erased anywhere, after alot of searching. Could this have anything to do with my using the D drive instead of C? Also, I do not believe that this has anything to do with my graphics card or operating system or RAM, as the game was running quite well before my dad wiped the harddrive. This is supremely frustrating. Also, I had previously installed the 1.2 patch, but uninstalled it. Is there some way to erase it somewhere else, such as the registry? I figure that maybe that is one of the causes of the problem. Again, I went step-by-step through that very long manual uninstallation thread, so what do you all believe is the problem? Thanks.
