This is a new skin and model to change the look of Spartan Hoplites. I have slightly altered the stats to reflect the new look, mainly the armour.
I created these for the Additional Unit Pack, about which you can find more on the dedicated sub-forum here on TWH. The latest version, however, is not yet released, so these are not in it yet.
Once you have downloaded the file, extract the compressed folder, then follow the instructions in the file entitled 'README'
Hi. I am new to this and only recently bought Rome Total War. I don't know how to mod or skin, although I would like to learn. I like this skin, it looks cool in game, although I would have put a red cloak, just for kicks :)
I have one question: is it possible to make roman factions recruit a spartan hoplite, or any other non roman units (with info card)? if yes, what steppes do I follow to make it possible?
However, if you want said unit to be in that faction's colours, the texture will need editing. Otherwise, just add any faction you like to the ownership line in export_descr_unit.txt
