Assuming you know the basics of the SH3 editor this tutorial will teach you how to make your own custom brushes.
By default the following exist:
These are good basic brushes but you can also create your own. First locate the brushes, you can find them here:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\stronghold3\assets\editor_data\brushes\Circle.bmp"
Now we need to choose which brush to replace, we cannot add additional brushes so pick the one you will use the least to edit. For the sake of this tutorial we will be editing the 'circle' brush.
Right click and open in paint:
Working with the shades white and black draw your design, the dimensions of the brush must be left at 128x128 though. In this example I have simply removed the black border and typed 'SHH' in black:
Once you have finished the design of your new brush save, remember do not change the name (this example is still called Circle) and also make sure the image is saved as a BMP File (.bmp)
Now go into the editor and put your new brush to use!
