This map is a long (30 years) classical ecovasion with high ecogoals. There is no keep at start, but choice to place it is very limited. Story, a bit amoral, is inside the map description.
Roughly : taking advantage of the civil between two pretendants for the throne, you, Duc de Volpe, also know as the Wolf, seized the royal hunting domain. This rich fief have currently no inhabitant. Then you bribed corrupted clergy of the kingdom to assert your position. However you will have to paid and reward bishops, with gold and goods to assure you their support.
At the same time, and this is very important, you will have maintain and encourage, religion (blessing) in this land. That will hide to the pope, or least make "forgot", your allies treachery and venality.
Like victory conditions could slightly change during the game, it's advised to look at victory conditions info from time to time.
Dont hesitate to be ambitous.
This land can support a great number of inhabitants and give them work.
Tips : hire archers at start and trade woods. It's important imo to make growth your population quickly.
There is a lot to do. Finding free space for farm is a part of the game. Cut trees to clear suitable place could be an other.
This land is yours, at least if you can keep it. Manage it freely and rule it how you want. However You will not be able to be at the same time a defender of the faith (lol) and a crual lord.
To finish, one of the closest neighbour, claiming it's for protect king (s) honor, and punish your incredible sacrilege, is close to invade. Probably trying to conquere for his own interest.
This Map will give you opportunity to manage a powerful land.
You have also the opportunity to raise a strong fortress, but you could instead only fortify some strong key points, it's you choise.
Map could be play from easy to hard. I advice normal setting.
