The battle was fierce but resulted in a glorious victory over the Synod's mercenaries. Tiros celebrated the victory lavishly and there was a lot of drinking, dancing, talking and bragging about the great heroic deeds of the soldiers. The Holy Commander was seen fleeing to the safety of the Synod. It was decided that a new religion would be established at the town soon to be built and that there would now be competition between the Synod's religion and the new reformed faith of Tiros's UFO town. The religion was called "Worship of the World Above".
But all was not well with Tiros. His behaviour changed dramatically. He started acting like a tyrant, pushing people to work harder and harder and it was not rare if a peasant died when working at an extreme pace. He put people in the gibbet and threw people in the dungeon.
One of the monks in the camp noticed there was a connection between the tyrannical behaviour of Tiros and the UFO's recent illumination. Whenever the UFO illuminated, Tiros became even more aggressive and cruel.
Tiros has become corrupted by the presence of the UFO. The doomsday machine inside the UFO drives leaders of nearby cities crazy because it is part of its self-defense program. Still, the UFO is needed to build the town and the town is needed to make sure the UFO can be safely protected. Ultimately, the UFO is needed for the High King's plans of conquest. The UFO is needed to conquer the Ocean Worlds, the only realms not under Humerii control...
The backstory is, well, goofy, but the scenario plays well. Properly balanced, the goals take a while to achieve due to volume. I like the "UFO" effect, in that supplies magically appear at the stockpile despite it being out on an island (the UFO). Not the best, but not bad.
