Mapmaking 101 – Lowered Walls

Lowered walls are one of the first necessary designer tools for all mapmakers. They can be used in all sorts of ways, incorporated into any eye candy, or used as roads or even as an alternative defence!

How to create lowered walls –

1. Build stone wall.
2. Place boulder (can be any size) over existing wall.
3. Erase boulder to leave raised land around the lowered wall.
4. Lower land to min height.
5. Process simply repeated, the wall goes to half the previous size again.
