Commander Cody presents a SWGB Add-on Mod


- Update: 3/10
Most models will be redone in 3DS MAx because of the rendering quality being better than Gmax. I am investigting around and hopefully should have it within the coming week. In the time being, I'll be working on side stuff like walls, gaia, others and the game interface and icons, unit cost and stuff.

- Update: 24/10
Been 3 weeks since the last update. Been making some more models. Got a nice plan set up for model completion. Ordinary Republic units should take this week, which should be good. ^_^ I'm updating the thread with new images and also, doing final unit edits and I will add the names of some techs, but not all. Lyoa mo'!

- Update 26/10
Finished shipyard units. Will do heavy weapons and knock off the rest of the aircraft. Will work on fortress units for the 27th. Thinking about the mechs for Friday.

- Update 30/10
Put on hold for a while. Im having a professional graphic designer assist with concept art work for various units. Will be working on Bodin's Knights of the Old Republic add-on.

- Update 7/11
Back in action. Finalising list and making units. Fate of the Republic is now going to be a massive mod. Uknown when it will be finished.

- Update 8/11
Finalising listing for Galactic Republic, Separatists and Utapaun. Finalising the team and playtesters.

This part of the mod is a complete expansion pack including two new civs to play random map with. This mod also would add some spice to the way the game is played, but that information is secret and won't be revealed as of yet.

This mod will also benefit the scenario designer!!

You have been busy. Impressive. I wondered what happened to this. Is this a conversion or new civ? It seems to be a new civ reading what you've done. I thought that someone would do an ep3 republic eventually but people thought it was unrealistic and a stupid idea. If this is a new civ will it work with the mon call and other new civs?

Is the a CIS and unaffiliated objects bit to come as well or is it just the Republic? and what will the republic civ be called in the game? I will get a hold of this as soon as my computer starts working properly again. This will work with the other civs won't it?

The CIS will be the Separatists in this addon and there will be numerous items - neimodians, IG Banking Clan stuff, mercenaries, Utapau, Mustafar, Mygeeto, Felucia, Salucemia, Cato Neimodia etc. it will be extensive.

I will display only two models because this mod is in the model completion phase and it would be best that a lot of the testers then finally everyone will be amazed and suprised by what each of the unit looks like. At a later date, screenshots of ingame will show. But for now

A vatacyl is a creature that Obi-Wan rides on Utapau. Boga is her name.

Why I'm not giving them to you is because the MODELS have been done. Not the actual compiled slps. Once it is done, you'll have them for your Clone Conversion.

Roffle. Just wait till you see the Walkers (AT-RT/AT-AP/AT-OT)

The Vatacyl that Obi-Wan rides is called Boga - that's her birth name. Vatacyl is the name of the species. The Clone Troopers will be riding the Vatacyl for a mounted trooper. Done a Vatacyl model,just not textured and boned. (Iknow that sounds silly)

When the DVD comes out in november I could make an intro video and codec it into indeo... it'd make the size shoot up but it'd look pretty cool.

Okay I'll try to do that. I have a small idea for new units. You know air transports can't carry heavy mechs? Well an air transport which carries only mechs. I did a model of a corallian heavy lifter in doga which gave me the idea. Hope it's not a useless idea and I hope not to affend you.
