I believe that Dooku talks to Sidious in person, in "The Works" an abandoned industrial center occupied by Sidious. It also has tunnel workings under the senate, and to 500 Republica; the estate of Chancellor Palpatine.

This screenie shows Count Dooku having just arrived at the top of a very high cliff observation tower. The Sullustan jedi will no doubt be close on his tail, so the goal is to find a place to hide before the jedi arrives.
