ATTENTION: We need more Imperial and Alliance military commanders.

Two years have passed since the Battle of Endor. Imperial commanders and Moffs break away from High Command on Coruscant, while the remaining loyalists struggle to keep the forces of the Alliance of Free Planets at bay. However, while having a wide base of support, the former Rebellion lacks the military resources to take Coruscant.

In a surprise move, Alliance and Imperial leaders meet on the planet ITHOR. Drawing up a peace treaty, the delegates decide on a new government, transforming the Empire into a constitutional monarchy with the reinstatement of the IMPERIAL SENATE, led by a President appointed by the figurehead Emperor who has been elected by the Grand Moffs. MON MOTHMA is soon appointed to the post of President of the Imperial Senate.

However, some former Rebels refuse to recognize the Treaty of Ithor, and accuse Mon Mothma of having sold out the ideals of the Rebellion to assume control of the galaxy. These Rebels maintain arms in order to establish a true Republic. Similarly, some Imperial worlds denounce what they call a false Empire, and instead aid the Imperial warlords. As the new Empire and its Senate try to establish authority, the Galactic Civil War enters a new phase, manipulated by shadowy individuals with their own agenda...

Though the overall operation met with very limited success, Mira proved especially efficient at her work, earning a battlefield promotion to Admiral. As the daughter of a Moff killed during the Galactic Civil War, she wields an impressive political presence in addition to her military prowess. Character Name: Kell Twilinn
Faction: Galactic Empire
Occupation: Senator and industrialist, Prex of the Direx of the CSA
Bio: Born into a wealthy family in the Corporate Sector, Kell was raised from a young age steeped in economic realities, finances, and all the corruption that the remote sectors of the CSA could muster. During the Clone Wars, Kell was one of the key persons that brought the CSA on the side of the Confederacy. After the Clone Wars, Kell purchased himself a seat on the Direx and, seeing the writing on the wall, ingratiated himself to the new Galactic Emperor. After years of courting Palpatine's favor and amassing his own financial holdings, Kell was elected Prex of the Direx mere months before the Battle of Endor. With the chaos that Palpatine's death brought with it, the Corporate Sector happily financed various warlords, either with loans or sale of weaponry, all at the behest of Kell. In the years since, Twinlinnran stood for and won the election for Senator of a minor sector in the reformed Galactic Empire. Fortunately, his influence belies the minor world he represents and in the senate if known as the unofficial head of a cabal of an industrially minded sect of the Senate. Using his political position as well as a variety of illegal business activities, Kell has expanded his industrial holdings throughout the galaxy, from the Corporate Sector, to controlling interests in several corporations such as Czerka, and decently sized holdings in on Sienar Systems and Corellian Engineering. As corrupt as they come, Kell is willing to perform any action which will increase his financial holdings, regardless of the cost.

He was stationed with the 2nd Fleet in the Mid Rim, and despite several efforts by the Senate to replace his fleet with the less-intimidating Mon Calamari cruisers, Kiles has managed to hold on to the core force of his Star Destroyers by tooth and nail, causing some to believe that he is sympathetic to the old ways of the Empire, when it is really only a matter of tactical importance.

Character Name: Gerald Tarkin
Faction: Imperial Warlords
Occupation: First Citizen of the Crimson Flame Hegemony, Lord Commander of Crimson Flame Defense Command.
Bio: The son of militarist Galactic Republic senator Ranulph Tarkin, and grand cousin of the imfamous Wilhuff Tarkin, Gerald has served the Emperor's ideals ever since his childhood. As a part of the Tarkin family, law, order and personal fame and power are the goals he pursues. Just like his famous grand cousin, he has served in the military all his life, and had by the time of the Battle of Endor worked his way to Chief of Crimson Flame Command, the command tasked with the defense of the Eriadu region. When the Emperor perished aboard the Second Death Star, he started wondering if a worthy heir existed. The actions of Imperial High Command in the ensuing events didn't impress him the slightest, and felt that, in his own hands, it would fare much better. In secret, he begun planning for breaking away from Coruscant and form his own government. The Imperial-Republic peace treaty convinced him the Emperor's ideals were dead, and he decided to set his plans in motion. Forming the Crimson Flame Hegemony with himself as the chief of state and Eriadu as the capital, he declared himself "protector of the ideals of the New Order". As more and more forces had been allocated to fight the New Republic, Crimson Flame Command effectively controlled most of the south-west quadrant of the Galaxy, so he carved out an impressive empire, stretching from Gamorr to Anoth, far into the Mid Rim and all the way to Wild Space. So far, he has remained neutral, but how long can the peace last when the Empire is eager to remove this loose cannon, and Gerald himself looks hungrily in all directions?

User: Reaper_93
Character Name: Shos'an Kais
Faction: Independent (former Imperial) Warlord
Occupation: Former Rear Admiral
Bio: Born on an unnamed fringe world, he attended the Imperial Academy on Carida where his military tactics were exceptional during exercises regarding planetary assault. He was rapidly promoted to Captain, where he commanded a small destroyer during the Galactic Civil War. After numerous raids and repeated actions of the like he was eventually promoted to Rear Admiral in time for Endor. However, there was no Star Destroyer available and Palpatine only wanted the largest of his starships to participate in the ending of the Rebellion. When a disjointed pair of ISDs returned to Kuat and informed him of the terrible defeat over Endor he immediately took command of the vessels and struck out on his own, feeling he could do a better job. The troops on board were mostly unknowledgeable of this fact, and those that were assumed an admiral knew what he was doing.
Other (optional): While his strategy and tactics are keen, he is often at a loss for material, which results in his frequent raids of under-defended worlds and shipping lanes. After two years of independent warfare his vessels are more beginning to resemble pirate ships than Imperial navy battleships. He also refuses to recognize the capitulation of the Rebellion for unknown reasons.

User:Lord Vader672
Character Name: Alister Mako
Faction: Imperial Warlords
Occupation: Admiral
Bio: Not much is known about Alister Mako. He was assigned as an admiral by the Emperor himself not long after the formation of the Empire. Many think it is because of his knack of being able to out smart his opponents in battle. Around the completion of the first Death Star he was offered a position on board, but turned it down, saying that no war can be won as quickly as all the military leaders tell themselves. Ultimately, his decision saved his life when the Death Star was destroyed over Yavin IV. A short time before the events at Endor, Alister was given a new Executer-class Star Dreadnought and a new fleet, and was assigned to the Unknown Regions along with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Two years later Mako reemerged from the Unknown Regions only to learn that the Empire he was loyal to was now under the joint leadership of the same Rebel Alliance that he swore to destroy in the name of the now dead Emperor. He took his fleet and retreated to the outer rim, waiting for the right time to show himself to the unsuspecting mockery of an Empire.

User: Cheapy the Hutt
Character Name: Uranfaie Jor Kaor (Kaleesh)
Faction: Other; Jedi potential
Occupation: Adept
Bio: Formerly one of the Emperor's various Darksiders, Kaor was turned back to the light by Luke Skywalker shortly after the battle of Endor. He was first found to be Force-sensitive ten years after the rise of the Empire, when the Emperor began recruiting many minions to fill the holes left by the loss of Grievous, Darth Tyranus, and many other loyal, yet disposable, Darksiders. After rigorous, even torturous training, Kaor was ready for the power of the Dark Side.

Or so he thought.

On his first mission, he was sent to Korriban with a band of dark side recruits, their orders to fight their way into the tomb of a long-dead Sith lord. Unfortunately, many of the recruits fell victim to the tomb's traps, and others abandoned each other to escape. Kaor was left alone, and for days he was assaulted by visions of his past, of the spirits of his victims he had been forced to kill as part of his training, and by sith hounds, awakened by the recruits' bumbling. Finally, he escaped, to find the rest of the recruits had gone mad in the wastelands of Korriban and slain each other. Kaor had just enough strength to set their ship on a course for the nearest Imperial outpost before falling unconscious.

Many months later, Kaor abandoned the Empire and fled to the Outer Rim, avoiding the Emperor's assassins and eeking out a living in the deserts of Tatooine. Whether it was fate or the Force that lead him there, he knew not. But after a mere four years he was found by Luke Skywalker, who had returned to his homeworld to pay his respects to his aunt and uncle's graves. Kaor sensed the Jedi's potential, and asked Luke to kill him, in order to end his suffering. The kind Knight refused, and showed him the ways of the Light. Eternally grateful, Kaor swore to uphold the traditions of the Jedi Order, and to never again succumb to the darkness. While his Force skills leave much to be desired, his lightsaber skill is excetional, and many consider him a worthy opponent. However, Kaor cannot believe that the Empire will ever be anything but evil, even if it was made anew.

User: Amped_Persia
Character Name: Morgan "Theta" Narleesh
Faction: Other
Occupation: Assassin
Bio: Created as one of the earliest non-Fett clone templates, Theta's line was cancelled almost immediately after its inception due to several key defects. Spending the first fifteen years of his life receiving training as part of an elite espionage group, rumor spread through the small company that the Empire had given orders for the entire line to be liquidated at once. Rather then accept their death, they fled, all forty of them, in a small transport, but not before receiving damage so severe that their nav computer malfunctioned, depositing them in an uncharted system. Using backup systems, it took them four years to return to known space. By that time, the clones had all managed to turn on each other until 'Morgan' was the only remaining member of the ill fated crew. Landing on Exocron, he scuttled the ship and sold it for scrap. Rendered somewhat insane by his years of isolation, he found working peacefully with others nearly impossible. Drifting from trade to trade, he wandered about the galaxy until he found a profession that suited him, Assassin. Among his many idiosyncrasies are his obsession with ancient and exotic weapons.
Other: Although a skilled fighter, Theta finds modes of direct confrontation not at all his style. Using his own remarkable talents, he has a knack for disguise and although finding socializing awkward, has an incredible ability to mimic the tone, mannerisms and overall voice pattern of a person after observing him for a relatively short period of time. His skill in computer interface is also rumored to be quite excellent. Gaining a reputation for calculating efficiency, he's poured his earnings into equipment that makes his trade all the easier. Other:
Equipment: One disassembled holdout blaster concealed on his person, twin silenced GW-98 slugthrowing pistols, two Trandoshan made switchblade daggers, datapad equipped with custom made computer terminal interface device, BC7 medium blaster carbine; he maintains a stock of explosives, detonators, energy as well as kinetic projectile weapons in his custom outfitted YV-929 transport, the "Ion Knight"
Modifications: Obsessed with cybernetic enhancements, Theta routinely has himself outfitted with various devices that increase his reflexes, strength, hearing and eyesight, as well as a wireless communication system built into him.

~Some Side Notes~
~Though the Empire is now reformed and more open, there still exists corruption from Palpatine's regime that lurks in the shadows, not uprooted by Mon Mothma's reforms.
~The stormtroopers have been abolished under Mon Mothma, with former stormtroopers being phased in with regular forces, which has caused some resentment.
~The Imperial Navy is a mix of the typical Imperial vessels and new ships from the shipyards of Mon Calamari and Corellia. A demilitarization program is in effect, but has accomplished little due to the many problems facing the new Empire.
~The new government has established a war crimes tribunal, but some former Imperials were influential enough to escape punishment.
~A major problem the authors of the Treaty of Ithor faced was the amount of power Moffs and Grand Moffs would hold under the new government. Though the Grand Moffs held power over appointing the new figurehead Emperor, they insisted that such a role was not enough. A compromise was reached, and all Moffs are now officially subordinate to the Imperial Senate.

Fortunately, Luke Skywalker, Daulua Donei, a mysterious Kaleesh named Kaor, the old Jedi Master K'Krukh, and the Imperial Captain Pellaeon have rescued the Queen and are now en route to Coruscant.
-Luke Skywalker has received approval from the Imperial Senate to reestablish the Jedi order and use Yavin 4 as a training academy. Daulu Donei has become his first student.
-Grand Admiral Teren Rogriss has ordered a withdrawal from the Outer and Mid Rims to better fortify the heart of the Empire.
-Many of the different warring factions converge on Onderon, as Imperial and Neimoidian forces try to restore Queen Junari to her throne, warlords Galak Fyyar, Alister Mako, and Maximilian Veers defend Erynn Brunnel's regime, and Hapan and Alliance fleets take advantage of the opportunity to inflict damage on the Imperial Navy.

A few questions:

1st, would you mind outlining 'corruption'?

2nd, saying that something is 'imperial' could mean that it is of either the warlords or the reformed empire(new). Can we say something like 'the Warlord Carrack was instantly engulfed in flames' for the Warlords and 'Imperial Corvette spat its last few turbolaser blasts and slowly descended into the atmosphere' for the Reformed Empire? (yes, I realize this was long)

Last, what do you mean by 'all Moffs are now officially subordinate to the Imperial Senate'? Does this mean that the Moffs are under the control of the Senate?

This looks like fun. My brain is melted for tonight though, sorry.

1.) Remnants of Palpatine's regime, for the most part, working to undermine Mon Mothma, and working behind the scenes for their own agendas.
2.) Yes, well more like, [insert warlord's name or warlord faction here] Star Destroyer tore through Imperial MC90 cruiser.
3.)Yes, but this is not met without resentment, and some Grand Moffs and Moffs might be willing to circumvent or outright disobey the Senate's mandates.

CORUSCANT-IMPERIAL PALACE-OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE IMPERIAL SENATE

Mon Mothma looked down and rubbed her forehead in frustration. Today had been another day spent deliberating on important issues with her advisors, which meant she had to listen to them debate and debate and debate while nothing got done. No wonder the galaxy was falling apart.

Two Imperial Guardsmen stood at the door to the office, silent, still, and completely alert from beneath their crimson masks and robes. Mon Mothma had felt a bit uncomfortable retaining such a blatant symbol of Palpatine's regime, but her advisors (particularly those who had been loyal to the New Order) had insisted that the Imperial Guard be retained both for the protection of Mon Mothma and the Emperor and to serve as a sign that the Empire was not gone. Reluctantly, only to prevent further division among her advisors, she had conceded to their point.

A wide window to one side of the conference table offered a stunning view of the government district of Coruscant. Traffic neatly proceeded through the skies in endless lines, which overlapped each other and created a grid pattern when glimpsed from below or above. Thousands of meters below, government clerks and officials retired from their offices, flooding the streets and waiting for commuter shuttles that would take them home. From the window, the pedestrians looked like a swarm of tiny arthopods. In the distance, Coruscant's sun retreated behind the planet's many durasteel and transparisteel spires, painting the sky a brilliant orange.

"Madame President?" the voice of the Bothan Borsk Fey'lya interrupted her brief daydreaming. Fey'lya did not let it show, but Mon Mothma could tell that he was irritated with her. Fey'lya had not been a founding member of the Rebellion, only joining for his own opportunistic reasons. Fey'lya was cunning and ambitious, which made him a dangerous politician. He was of the sort that would do anything to accomplish his own goals. Mon Mothma imagined that chief among those goals of his was to take her place as leader of the Empire. He had made that desire all but obvious at the Convention of Ithor. And now Borsk was forced to sit in the presence of the very being who had took what he wanted. Mothma sometimes likened him to a carrion-eating avian, ready to swoop in and swallow the Empire when her government fell apart.

"Pardon me," Mon Mothma responded, quickly smiling to reassure those before her. "It has been a long day. Perhaps we should all retire and continue from where we left off tomorrow, when our minds are refreshed?"

While some murmured in agreement, one of her advisors remained perfectly seated. "I would rather we wrap up these matters today, Madame President. After all, it's not as if we won't have more issues tomorrow." This time the voice came from Ysanne Isard, Director of Imperial Intelligence. Isard was another person known for her ambition, perhaps the only one in the room whose cunniving surpassed that of Borsk Fey'lya. Rumor had it that she had betrayed her own father in order to secure Palpatine's favor. While Mon Mothma would have preferred to replace her with someone more agreeable, the hardliners in the Senate had insisted that her cabinet be made up of former supporters of the New Order like themselves along with former Rebels.

With a slight groan, all those who had gotten up to leave returned to their seats. "As I mentioned before, our most recent intel indicates that Corulag and Carida continue to give aid to warlords like Fyyar and Jassem despite the threats of sanctions from the Senate. As much as they deny any subversive activity, the number of unregistered military vessels frequenting their spaceports is increasing. If a solution to their treason is not found soon, they may outright secede."

Borsk Fey'lya pounded his furry fist on the table. "I say we set an example of them! Show what becomes of all traitors! Utilize the might of our military and crush Corulag and Carida and their meager defense forces."

While some at the table nodded in agreement, including Jan Dodonna, Leia Organa spoke up. "The more we tighten our grip, the more star systems slip through our fingers. Do that, and we drive more planets away, possibly into Bel Iblis's insurgent movement. All the public will see is a continuation of Palpatine's policies, of the Tarkin Doctrine."

Some clenched their jaws at Leia's criticism of Palpatine, but Mon Mothma smiled at her brilliance. "Leia is correct. We cannot wave the force of our military around as a threat. Nor can we afford for Bel Iblis's insurgency to gain more strength then they already have."

"With all due respect, your Excellency," Jan Dodonna spoke up, "the more we deliberate on key issues like this, the more weak you appear. There are those within the government who would jump at the opportunity to paint you as incompetent, and remove you from power."

Mon Mothma smiled again at her old friend. "Of course, the public has no idea how difficult resolving these key issues are. I will attempt to bring the matter of economic sanctions against Carida and Corulag to a vote in the Senate in our next session. Meanwhile, we will make overtures to the two planets, offering incentives for them to stop aiding the warlords."

"Even without support from influential planets, the warlords pose a major threat," Leia said. "Our military is strained as it is, with so many joining renegades like Gerald Tarkin, and others breaking away to join Bel Iblis's movement-"

"The Alliance for the True Republic," Isard interrupted.

"Excuse me?" Leia said.

"The Alliance for the True Republic," Isard repeated, as if the others had not heard her the first time. "That's what Bel Iblis is calling his insurgency. He named it in a speech earlier today."

"You must be joking," Leia said, in a statement rather than a question.

Isard stared coldly at Leia with her red and blue eyes, before saying, "You may see the report if you'd like."

Eager to move back to the subject at hand, Mon Mothma said, "Bel Iblis has refused all attempts at talks with us. I'm afraid we may have no other option left than war with his forces soon. And with our fleet so strained, a war could only be ugly for us."

Isard looked at Mon Mothma. "We could always offer amnesty to a few of the warlords. Many of them are simply using their fleets as bargaining chips. They're no match for us by themselves. We give them some incentive, and they'll happily rejoin us."

"Then that sets a precedent!" Dodonna said. "We're practically bribing them if we do that. What's to stop them from going warlord again in order to get more out of us? Or from another commander taking his Star Destroyer and extorting us with the threat of joining Bel Iblis?"

"We may have no other choice, if Bel Iblis refuses to talk," said Mon Mothma. "I think we've covered what we can today," she said, clasping her hands together and rising from her seat. "This meeting is adjourned, unless there is another issue we've missed."

As all of the advisors stood up from their seats and left the room, Mon Mothma stopped to talk to Leia. "Leia, there is something I would like to discuss with you."

"Anything," Leia said, smiling.

"The..." Mon Mothma gathered her strength in order to say the next word, "Empire needs allies if we are to make the galaxy whole again. I would like to send you as our ambassador to the Hapes Consortium in the Transitory Mists. They are a reclusive people, but they have a powerful navy, and they fought against Palpatine's incursions on their borders for many years. Perhaps a regime change will entice them to join us in an alliance. Will you be able to meet the task?"

"Of course," Leia said. Together, Mon Mothma and Leia departed the chamber, their conversation turning to other, less serious topics.

WILD SPACE-DOOMGIVER

Galak Fyyar admired the stars from the bridge of his flagship. The billions of tiny speckles entranced him, creating an effect conducive to relaxation as he sipped his glass of fine Algarian wine.

"Not slippimg away too much, are we?" a voice from behind him asked.

Galak turned to face the speaker. "No, no, of course not," he said, putting down his glass. "Just admiring the view."

The speaker smiled from beneath her strange triangular headress. "Of course," said Lumiya, former Emperor's Hand and Dark Lady of the Sith. "I have some information regarding your next target."

"And what might that be, my lady?" Galak asked her politely.

Lumiya smiled again, trying not to laugh at Fyyar's pathetic yes-man attitude. "The false Empire has assigned a medium-sized ship production order to the shipyards of the Rothana system. With their military forces under strain, they need to utilize all the resources they have at hand, even the less important shipyards like Rothana. It is there where you will strike next."

"Is that wise?" Galak asked. "Perhaps we should wait and not reveal ourselves so soon to the enemy."

"That is none of your concern, Admiral," Lumiya responded. "Once we capture the Rothana shipyards, you will have more ships under your command, which will give you more weight when dealing with the other warlords. Right now, the enemy underestimates you. That is their mistake." She smiled to flatter Fyyar.

"As you say it," Fyyar said, again picking up his glass and taking a sip.

OOC: I would like to point out that the Rothana shipyards are within the territory - and control - of the Crimson Flame Hegemony "From Gamorr to Anoth" includes Rothana, if you look at a map of the galaxy

Oh, and MC90 Cruisers didn't come into service before five years after Endor, by now, only MC80's and perhaps a very limited amount of MC80B's are in service.

Eriadu City

The sky was a muddy dark blue above the Governor’s Palace, longtime home of the government of the planet, the sector, and now the entire Crimson Flame Hegemony. Eriadu had been a heavily polluted world for centuries, as the inhabitants had always been keen on matching Core World population centers’ urban sprawls rather than improving the environment; such was the priorities of the Eriaduans. “Crawling to the Core” was the main ambition for doing just about everything true Eriaduans did.

From the balcony of the palace, Gerald could see much of the capital city, stretching out as carpet of bright lights across the horizon, blending almost perfectly with the real stars, slowly beginning to appear on the sky.
Despite the pollution, Eriadu would always remain a beautiful world, a world of power and prestige, a world of ambition. It was ambition that had led Gerald’s father and grand cousins to their places in history, but their extreme devotion to their ideologies had cost them their lives.
Gerald had always considered himself more pragmatic than his famous relatives, and much less bloodthirsty. Of course, killings and executions – and the methods of intimidation such actions made possible - were necessary from time to time, but the obliterations of entire planets’ worth of people his grand cousin had carried out were not only appalling, but also wasteful. He could never afford – nor would he even consider - doing that such kinds of things.

He had been the de facto ruler of what he now controlled since the death of the Emperor, been chief of Crimson Flame Command for three years before that, and built up his power base all the time. But it was only when the Empire and the Rebels signed the peace treaty he saw a reason to secede, and he carried out the plans he’d been making for two years, leading to swift and practically bloodless takeover. Crimson Flame Command had already been the supreme command of the entire area, so relatively little had to be done.

But the declaration had always been the easy part of establishing a state. The difficult part was to ensure the survival in the state’s infancy, but with a bureaucratic and military structure already in place, the bulk of Gerald’s changes were in the uppermost parts of the organization. The military high command was completely loyal to him, so it had been no problem building up an effective border defense, which had already been set up to defend the area against general threats.

However, more assets were always welcome…

From behind him, he could hear the doors open, and a series of swift footsteps in military boots. A faint hum of an electronic gadget could be heard.
“Welcome, Admiral,” he said, not turning around to face the visitor.
“Thank you, most illustrious First Citizen and honored Lord Commander,” replied the visitor, in an acidic mixture of sarcastic and obedient tones.
Had it been about any other person, he would have punished him immediately. However, this particular admiral was not only too valuable to loose, he also had a considerable power base of his own.
Not wanting to doom the negotiations from the start, he pointed at the large couch in his office, “please, be seated.” However, he still refrained from turning around.
The admiral sat down, and said, “I assume you’re dying to know if I want to stick around.”
“You are very correct. When we’re honored by a presence such as yours in our humble Hegemony, we of course need to know whether you want to stay.”
“I like the surroundings. When you’ve stayed in the Core too long, the tightly packed night sky starts to bug you. Out here, things are far prettier. Eriadu has always been the Pearl of the Rim. A rather dirty pearl, but a pearl nonetheless,” the admiral said, not answering the question, “in fact, Eriadu cannot be praised enough. Despite the huge distance to the Core, you have built up grandeur and power on par with many Core Worlds, and produced quite a few notabilities, including several of your relatives. And now, Eriadu is the capital of a Hegemony encompassing hundreds of thousands of systems.”
Gerald sighed; the admiral was known to be a no-nonsense officer, but his position of inferior power seemed to make him very fond of dragging out conversations. Gerald now knew why he, despite his obvious talents, had been replaced as Palpatine’s right-hand man.
“I would like to show you something, Admiral. Observe my pet Chandrillan blue lizard.” Living in a terrarium at the other end of the office, the little reptile was sleeping on a metal heating mat.
The admiral rose, and walked over to the terrarium.

“Now, one can feel superior and safe, resting assured that one is untouchable; oblivious to the people always on the lookout to strike at you, to take everything from you, to reduce you to utter nothing. Either as a Chandrillan blue lizard lying on a metal mat, or as a fleet commander in charge of a force docked far within potentially hostile space. Because suddenly, without any notice, the ground below you can disappear, revealing a host of enemies”, he pressed a button on his datapad, and the metal mat swept away, causing the lizard to fall into a pit of savage-looking insects.

And only then did he turn around, facing the admiral, “I sincerely hope the same thing does not happen to you, Admiral Screed.”
Screed’s fixed a cold stare on him, his electronic eye giving him a very sinister look. Gerald, however, was undaunted.
“Of course, sir. I was about to offer you my services anyway, and you have indeed proven… Imperial enough for me to serve you,” he paused, “I shall instruct my men to allow your troops on board my ships.”
“And I will instruct my men to do so. Don’t worry; you will retain your command for now. However, some restructuring will have to be done at some point.”
Surprise lit up Screed’s face, “yes, sir.”
He gave Gerald a crisp salute, and made a smart-about turn, and walked out of the room in a purposeful stride.

Gerald smiled; Admiral Terrinald Screed, a skilled commander and a military hero of the Old Republic, and in command of a quite impressive fleet, which had been stationed in Hegemony space during the defection, was now on his side.

After a few moments of contemplation, he activated his intercom:
“Inform the Strategic Council, and to convene immediately. Tell them the bird is in the cage, and not resisting.”

Then he leaned back, enjoying himself and all the power he had gathered. Outside, he thought he heard a bird tweet. He quickly dismissed the thought: Eriadu City hadn’t had any birds since the Jedi Civil War. Birds are such littering creatures, he thought to himself, Eriadu City is far better off without them.

Well, first posty time.

Admiral Kais was in his ready-room, preparing the last of the plans for the day. Glancing back and forth across his galactic map pinned to the wall he was beginning to have second thoughts about his decision. He could never be defeated, but he was making so few gains for the Empire...

The Empire, he thought, is no more... I am the Empire now...

"Admiral! We're coming out of hyperspace in thirty seconds, you'd better get to the bridge." That was his direct subordinate, Captain Cain. He was a diligent officer, but in matters of strategy he knew not what he was doing. He was still used to the old system of belonging to the dominant power in the galaxy when that simply was not so.

"I'll be there momentarily," spoke the Admiral, "hold position at the proper coordinates and inform me if anything happens in the meantime."
"Aye, sir." The Captain walked out as quickly as he had come in, and as silently, too. He had a bad habit of walking into the Admiral's ready room all too quietly...

Not much in the mood for a big post, at the moment (unlike you two ), so more will come later.

Well, as the supreme authority in this RPG, I say Rothana might be claimed by the Crimson Flame Hegemony, but is still under the control of the mainstream Empire. Hate to pull rank, but I need to get my story to flow . Everything else in the region can be yours, though, and besides Rothana isn't that important anymore, in comparison with Eriadu and Sluis Van (which are also in your territory), and its shipyards have only recently been reactivated because the Empire trying to utilize all its resources.

Ok two questions before I start.

1: Would Maximilian be acting on his own accord as a Warlord or are they all united?

2: Can Veers have t3h 501st? (I highly doubt they would go along with this 'new' Empire, unless Bando wills it that is )

Oh one more: Since I am just a General do I NOT have command of a Star Destroyer?

What was YOUR ME3 ending: Merge with Helios, Illuminati, or Tracer Tong?

1.) Most warlords are acting of their own accord, but a few are trying to form alliances. Would you be interested in Veers being approached to become the commander of Fyyar's ground forces? It's a position that needs to be filled.
2.) Only if they went renegade and decided not to serve the new Empire.
3.) Probably not, as Veers was with the Imperial Army, not the Navy. But my offer still stands...

Will post later, when I have time.

Striding onto the bridge, the officers glanced at their Admiral almost in awe, but not in a usual sense. He had decided to do something a bit... differently, this time.

Walking through their bridge was a form, roughly 6 feet in height, clothed in knee high spit-polished boots, a tri-corn hat and a large overcoat. Awe began to turn into worry for the Admiral's sanity, but he spoke and all were assured.

"The costume is no mistake, officers, I have finally figured out how we are going to win this. The first step is to make ourselves an image beyond simple post-Imperial pirates. Captain Cain, report on the situation."

"Sir, there are three automated cargo freighters and a single corvette aligning themselves with the jump point. It is believed one of the freighters is carrying hypermatter and the other two are carrying foodstuffs and medical supplies." Cain's reply was exactly as prompted, it was one of the things Kais liked about that man being a captain.

"Very well, move us out of the debris field, helmsman, ahead full. The corvette will doubtless attempt resistance until it sees our size and armament, at which point it will begin to flee. You will want to target the engines and prepare the tractor beam emitters to drag the ships into our ventral hangar." A complex order, to be sure, but the crew could handle it.

The corvette seemed to emote itself through its actions as it saw a hostile signature leave the debris field nearby. It turned to face it, energized its weaponry and defensive systems, and promptly realized it was going to be attacking a fully armed Imperial Star Destroyer. As it began to turn tail four medium turbolaser blasts railed into its engine array, sending the old Corellian design spinning out of control, only to be caught in the tractor beam of the enormous ship and stabilized. The automated cargo ships couldn't possibly fare any better, and in fact were not programmed to resist or run at all.

Back on the bridge of the Erebus Shos'an was smiling.

In case anyone is wondering, the names of the two ISDs used to be ISD Antagonist and ISD Stormchaser, they were renamed to ISD Erebus and ISD Tartarus to evoke a bit more fear in their opponents

Can you use this one, Bando?

BTW, Sean Connery is meant to be Garm Bel Iblis, and the slightly changed Wilhuff Tarkin to be Gerald Tarkin.

Eriadu City

Gerald Tarkin, First Citizen of the Crimson Flame Hegemony and Lord Commander of the Crimson Flame Defense Command, cleared his throat, and said, “I hereby declare this Strategic Council meeting opened.”

The Strategic Council was the Hegemony’s advisory body, and, despite that it had no executive powers, the de facto government. While all decisions were made by the First Citizen himself or his civilian administrator, every member of the council was allowed to make propositions, and hear the inputs of the other members, and Gerald himself.
Those seated in the council beside Gerald were: Admiral Norvei, military chief of staff, Vice Admiral Garrou, the enigmatic director of intelligence, Admiral Inan, retired fleet commander, General Veers, chief of the army, Commandant Peronai, headmaster of Eriadu Military Academy, and Director-General Clerr, leader of the Hegemony Industrial Consortium (HIC), the group of major nationalized businesses in Hegemony space, and head of the Hegemony’s civilian administration.

As Gerald sat down again, he noticed everyone was looking expectantly at him, and he knew why.
“As you’ve all been informed, Admiral Screed had agreed to join the Hegemony, taking wi
th him his fleet, which is loyal to him. Not only does that solve the problem of a hostile fleet within our borders, it also gives us another valuable strategic asset,” he nodded to Garrou, and the vice admiral called up a large holomap.
The thin intelligence director’s powerful voice never failed to surprise Gerald, and he stiffened as he began his briefing.
“With Admiral Screed’s fleet on our side, the size of our strategic force has been increased by about 35%, enabling our fleet to, in case of war, conduct a series of operations simultaneously, thereby greatly increasing our capabilities compared to the single front war we would’ve had to fight before. Our War Plan A has already been discarded, and work on War Plan B has just begun. The increased strategic forces will give us a wealth of opportunities, and our extensive knowledge of Imperial bases and hyperroutes enables us to strike practically anywhere on the Hydian Way and Corellian Trade Spine from here to Coruscant; of course, that would be a foolish course, but it is indeed possible. However, the Imperial routes are most probably mined, just as ours,” the seemingly frail man took in a deep breath, but remained silent.
Norvei and Clerr exchanged quick glances, and the admiral cleared his throat, indicating that he would like to speak. Gerald nodded to him.
“I am pleased to report that the Wilhuff Tarkin tests are complete, and that we found no major flaws in the ship. A few minor problems have been discovered, and a report detailing them has been sent to the HIC. I’ve been told mass production can begin within a few weeks,” he let his voice trail off, and looked at Clerr.
The Director-General nodded, “correct: Hakassi will lay down the first keel in exactly fifteen days, and from then on, Sullust, Sluis Van, and Eriadu itself will join in as docks become available. Full production will commence as soon as all current hulls have been finished.”
“Splendid. I will inspect the Wilhuff Tarkin as soon as possible. And the VASSF-18’s?”
“Already in mass production. The first squadrons have been shipped to several outposts, and the Tarkin carries two squadrons aboard as well.”
Gerald looked around the room, “anyone else has anything to say?”

When no one said anything, he smiled, “very well, I will inspect the Tarkin immediately. I hereby declare this Strategic Council meeting closed.”

Twenty minutes later, the First Citizen and Lord Commander was en route to Hakassi, to see the future backbones of the Hegemony.

Rothana had once been one of the Old Republic's most prominent shipbuilding worlds. During the days of the Clone Wars, its shipyards received dozens of shipbuilding orders each month. But with time, military ship production shifted more and more to the already prominent planets of Kuat and Fondor, and Rothana's dry docks were left empty to decay, eerie monuments to what the planet had once been. Starship traffic to the system all but dried up. Rothana's shipbuilders were therefore surprised two months when the Empire ordered a medium-sized production order from its shipyards, seeking to utilize all of the few available resources at its disposal. The Empire had even offered to restore Rothana's shipbuilding facilities to full capacity.

On board his flagship Doomgiver, Galak Fyyar admired the planet which had once been so important to the Old Republic. The nearly-complete Imperial warships lay waiting in Rothana's dry docks for him to seize them, like a herd of oblivious kaadu grazing in an open plain. Dressed in the stark white uniform of an Imperial Grand Admiral, Fyyar stood in stark contrast to his drably-uniformed officers.

"Admiral, all TIE squadrons are ready and awaiting your command," said an officer approaching behind him.

"Good, release most of them, holding five squadrons back in reserve," Fyyar said, turning around to face the officer. Fyyar had most of his TIE fighters equipped with small shield generators, giving them more of an edge in dogfights.

An officer sitting at a console below where Fyyar stood looked up towards him. "Sir, Rothana is hailing us."

"Let me see," said Fyyar. Moments later, the hologram of a pale green Twi'lek dressed in the uniform of Rothana's security force appeared on the bridge. "Vessel Doomgiver, cease your approach and state your purpose in the Rothana system."

The Twi'lek officer could not see Fyyar from where Fyyar stood, but he could hear him. "We are on official assignment from Coruscant. We are under orders to station ourselves at Rothana to guard against any possible attack from the forces of Garm Bel Iblis or Gerald Tarkin."

The Twi'lek stood frozen for a moment. "Verifying your stated purpose."

Fyyar turned to the comm officer. "Jam their commmunications." Turning to the Doomgiver's captain, he said, "Continue on our present course. Order the TIEs to target any defensive platforms and turrets, concentrating firepower from several fighters. The Doomgiver's gunners will target enemy starfighters. Once the shipyard's defenses are weakened enough, shuttles will land on the drydocks to seize the enemy vessels."

X-wings and TIE fighters were released from hangars in Rothana's orbital facilities, attempting to intercept Fyyar's TIEs, but were soon vaporized by turbolaser fire from the Doomgiver. Fyyar smiled. Soon the ships laying in Rothana's shipyards would be his.

HAPES

Leia Organa descended from the landing ramp of her shuttle. Though she would have preferred to travel on her soon-to-be husband Han Solo's ship, the Millenium Falcon, diplomatic etiquette required that she travel in a more pristine and official-looking ship. In the past two years fighting for freedom in the Galaxy, the Falcon had become somewhat of a home for her, as she had spent more time there, going from planet to planet on Alliance business, then any hotel suite or apartment.

Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Leia was stunned by the sheer beauty of the Hapan homeworld. The planet's moons shined brilliantly next to the backdrop of the Transitory Mists, making the night sky bright as day. Lush green mountains loomed in the distance next to a pure blue ocean. A small avian flew directly over her.

A retinue of Hapan soldiers stood a few meters in front of her, ready to escort her to the palace. A handsome, long-haired Hapan dressed regally in exotic fabrics stood in front of her, extending his hand as she came further towards him.

"Princess Organa," the man said, shaking her hand. "I am Prince and Chume'da Isolder. Allow me to welcome you to Hapes."

"Thank you," said Leia, smiling.

"The Queen Mother will meet with you in an hour. She is currently attending to a meeting of her advisors." Isolder extended his arm. "Until then, allow me to escort you to your quarters and show you around the palace grounds."

"That would be lovely," said Leia, wrapping her arm around Isolder's.

The captain of the escort Corvette never thought this would happen. His entire career he simply had blue milk runs, one after another, and now he was on the bridge of a Star Destroyer. If he didn't play his cards right he could end up very dead very fast. Looking around, though, he noticed this crew seemed rough around the edges, as though they were being worked to death. How this could happen to an Imperial warship he did not know, and what they wanted with him he was unsure, given he was escorting Imperial cargo...

As he turned around to face the door to the bridge, he was greeted by a sight rather ludicrous, and yet at the same time full of a strange splendour. Walking back onto the bridge from his ready-room was Shas'on Kais, former admiral of the Imperial Navy. Beneath his rather silly hat and clothing his face was serious, cold like stone, and a glimmer of a man on the edge was in his navy blue eyes.

"Captain, I don't believe we've met. I am rear admiral Shas'on Kais of the Imperial Navy. I have to present to you and your crew a proposition in light of your current predicament. You are to hereby strike the colors of your vessel and join us. Any men under your command who do not wish to are free to go, provided they have some form of transportation from your own vessel." This was an imperative most unexpected, and the captain replied,

"But I thought we were already under Imperial jurisdiction? We are an escort for their convoys-"

"Strike the colors from your vessel, or else I will have it deconstructed for spare parts and its crew jettisoned into space." The admiral was losing patience, rapidly. The captain of the small corvette was torn, as though he was wedged between his duties to the government he served and those to the crew that served him. Taking the time to shoot a quick glance to the Imperial officers on the bridge he could not discern any help in their faces. He sighed and caved with the statement,

"I... I think we will capitulate with your demands, admiral."

Unbeknowst to the poor captain of the Aethersprite, another piece of the admiral's plan had just fallen into place.

Saysen Jasem, Ithor System

Captain Dorta grimaced as he strolled around the bridge of the Holocaust. His eyes continued to flick into the shadowy chair that dominated the bridge, yet somehow completely hid its occupant. He leaned over of the navigation officers and held a quick and silent conference. He then stood up and continued to walk slowly around the bridge. He ran his hands over his brow as the Star Destroyer continued its silent journey through the stars. Suddenly there was the familiar pug behind his ears that told him that the end of hyperspace had arrived. The Holocaust secretly appeared on the outskirts of the Ithor system. Dorta swept over to the communication officer and after a whispered conversation Dorta stood up and announced to the shadows. “No one knows we are here.”

There was a groan. A shift. Then a voice issued from the darkness. “Don’t speak so ruddy loud captain.” Saysen Jasem had the policy that his men, especially his officers were the most important part of the military machine under his command, and thus he kept them well oiled, with a liberal amount of alcohol. The unfortunate part of this was that Jasem was a lightweight, and his hangovers were legendary. Slowly the man pulled himself to his feet and walked over to captain Dorta. He wasn’t especially tall, not even six foot, but he had an over bearing presence, all eyes were drawn to him. His dress was, for want of a better word, eccentric. He wore a black sleeveless jacket and a white scarf over a forest green suit, in the style of an imperial moff, only darker, although there was no insignia of rank. He also wore a black cloak, it did not billow, it simply hung behind him, and there were four white stripes on it, two on either side. The whole outfit was crested by an untameable mane of wavy, scruffy, brown hair that hung to the nape of his neck. “Ithor system correct?” he said, his voice hoarse after the previous nights over indulgences, his memory was a blur and he had no idea how he’d lost his voice.

“Correct sir, what is our course of action?” Dorta had no idea, Jasem always operated a need-to-know system, however Dorta had a shrewd idea. Jasem had always been valuable but hated within the Imperial upper echelons due to his, to their minds, unhealthy fascination with alien cultures. He saw huge potential in them, whereas other commanders saw them as worthless Jasem had taken time to learn about and understand alien cultures, he even spoke a few of their languages, Ithorian was one of them. The mistake that nearly every Imperial but Palpatine had made was that they thought Jasem saw aliens as equals, he didn’t, but he did see their value as tools, which the others did not.

“It is simple” replied Jasem “we incite unrest, and maybe even incite a revolt. I understand that the Ithorians are a peaceful people, but should they feel that their trees are under threat they will fight to the death to defend them. What I shall tell them is that Imperial Intelligence is convinced that they have covertly been supplied funds and harbouring Warlord fugitives. We then tell them that my agents have uncovered evidence that plans are being drawn to invade their world, to show that the Empire is still the power in this galaxy. This of course would bring untold damage to their ecosystem.” Jasem noticed Dorta’s raised eyebrows. “I know no such documents exist and no I have no forgeries. However we do have the transponder codes for two star destroyers of that absurdity that calls itself the Empire.” Dorta suddenly understood. Even if the Ithorians were to agree to help Jasem he intended to seal the deal by ravaging their forests. Dorta looked at Jasem and he thought he heard heavily laboured breathing through a mechanical apparatus.

“Send the transmission” ordered Jasem. Dorta looked around, one of the officers was patching through a recording. Jasem looked at Dorta “We are sitting just outside scanner range, they cannot detect us sitting here on silent running. However our two ‘enemies’ are hyperspacing to Ithor now. One is unmanned, the other will retreat. The transmission we are sending is in the effect that we are currently engaged with Imperial forces.” Saysen grinned. “I imagine the alarm bells are thoroughly ringing now.”

An electronic whine sounded, signalling that the ‘Imperial’ ships had arrived. The crew waited for Jasem’s orders. One minute.

Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.

Ten.

Fifteen.

After a total of eighteen minutes that felt like an ice age Jasem gave the order. “Jump into orbit.” The crew jumped into life, within seconds the stars had begun to elongate and the Holocaust jumped into hyperspace. Then they snapped back and bedlam reigned. Dorta glanced out over the planet, Jasem at his shoulder. Fires raged through the forests of Ithor. The two ‘Imperials’ bombarding the planet were the Victory and the Aggressor. The battle was swift and decisive. The Aggressor had a pre-programmed sequence to go through, when the Holocaust arrived it swung to face it, whilst the manned Victory swung away and continued to attack the planet. The Holocaust opened fire on the Aggressor the crew following Jasem’s instructions. TheAggressor was dispatched within twenty minutes, and for Jasem the bonus was that half the superstructure plunged down towards the planet and struck with almighty force. By this time the Victory had retreated. Dorta watched Jasem sit back down, savouring a perfectly executed operation.

“Orders sir?” Dorta asked tentatively.

Jasem looked at him, a small smile playing about his lips. “We await gratitude, then scarper captain, before any real members of Mothma’s regime show up. As they undoubtedly will.”

That should chuck a spanner in the ol' works. Ackbar will come another day. Oh, and your move Bando .

Yavin IV
It was nearing dusk at the Great Temple. Abandoned since the evacuation after the battle of Yavin, the old Rebel base showed some life once again. It was just like the old days, thought Garm Bel Iblis, except it wasn't. Back then it had been the three of them, him, Mon Mothma and Bail Organa, against the might of the empire. It had all been so clear. They were the good, and it was obvious where the evil was. Black and white. But now there were shadows everywhere...

He shook his head, dismissing those thoughts. Now was not the time to question his purpose. It was just that the familiar old stones, still warm from the sun brought back memories. He wasn't sure whether he would be sad to leave here or not. But leave he must. Yavin IV was too predictable a refuge, and when the Empire finally began looking for them it would be an obvious location. Fortunately for him, there were those who would support him, places to which he could flee. His thoughts were interrupted by the door in front of him, which opened at his approach. He stepped in, and took his place at the head of the table. Nearly everyone was here. Only Ackbar was late. He would wait to begin the council meeting.

ROTHANA SYSTEM-DOOMGIVER

Hours later, Rothana had capitulated. Though the Empire had placed renewed importance on the planet's shipyards, they hadn't the resources to properly defend them, being preoccupied with skirmishes against various warlords and pirates. It was quite pathetic, really, or so Fyyar thought. The new Empire stood no chance of defeating its enemies if it could not even decide between a defensive or offensive stance. Straddled between both, the Empire only opened itself up further from attack. Not that Fyyar was complaining.

"Sir, Aura Squad has reported that they have successfully taken control of the Apailana, the last of the vessels in the shipyards," said the captain of the Doomgiver. "Your orders?"

"Have our stormtroopers slave rig the captured ships' navicomputers to the Doomgiver," responded Fyyar. "As soon as that's done, we lay Rothana's shipbuilding facilities to waste, retrieving the engineers. Leave no survivors. Were we able to take care of that traffic control officer?"

"Yes, Admiral," said the captain, nodding.

"Good. No one will no we were here, only that Rothana came under attack." Fyyar grinned satisfactorily. "Most likely, Intelligence will assume the attack came from Tarkin's Crimson Flame Hegemony." Fyyar looked at the captain, who stood still, as if expecting more. "What are you waiting for? That will be all." As the captain left, Fyyar turned back to the viewport, where he could see the captured warships laying in Rothana's dry docks. Several of the new MC80Bs and two Imperial II Star Destroyers were among the ships he had one. Fyyar took a victory sip of Corellian brandy. Rothana only marked the beginning. Soon, all of the new Empire would be at its knees, begging their Emperor Fyyar for mercy.

Remembering something in the midst of that thought, Fyyar strode down the bridge, ignoring several officers who were trying to get his attention for orders on something or another. Once he was sure he was alone, he retrieved a datapad from his pocket. Inserting a device that would automatically encrypt his transmission, he began to write a message:

TO THE LADY:
ROTHANA HAS SURRENDERED. RENDEZVOUS AT COORDINATES SENT WITH THIS MESSAGE.

CORUSCANT-SENATE ROTUNDA-GRAND CONVOCATION CHAMBER

Mon Mothma stood at the Presidential podium (formerly that of the Old Republic's Supreme Chancellor and later Emperor Palpatine's) listening to the heated debate taking place on the Senate floor.

"We demand to know why we were attacked," said the Ithorian Senator, with the booming, gravelly voice characteristic of his hammer-headed species. "We have been loyal supporters of the new Empire and advocates of unity and peace. It is our planet where the Treaty was signed, and it is the same planet that has been attacked by Imperial Star Destroyers."

Though the Ithorian Senator spoke with a patience only an Ithorian could demonstrate, other delegates were not so composed. The Senator from Brentaal IV was claiming that the incident at Ithor was "another example of the President's recklessness and fearmongering tactics", while both the Sergeant-at-arms and the Speaker of the Senate Doman Beruss called for order.

"No orders were given for a raid on the planet Ithor, Senator," said Mon Mothma, looking around the fast chamber at the many senators seated or standing in their detachable hover pods. "And I can assure you, a complete and thorough investigation into this matter will be conducted. I would like to get to the bottom of this issue as much as you would. Clearly, some enemy of the Empire wishes to divide us with this incident. But we must stay strong, and not give our enemies what they want. We must be unified against any and all threats, or else we shall fall apart."

"And where exactly will such investigations lead?" asked Sian Tevv, the Senator from Sullust. "How would a warlord gain access to vessels with Imperial transponders?"

"Senator Tevv, I had issued no orders to attack Ithor," said Mon Mothma, exasperated by the chaotic debate that had delayed other issues in the Senate for hours.

"Of course not, Madame President," replied Senator Tevv, bowing slightly in respect. "But someone in our government must be collaborating with our enemies for an incident like this to occur."

This sparked renewed anger among some of the Senators, with a few even jeering and yelling insults at the Sullustan.

"We will have order!" yelled Mon Mothma. All went quiet in a few seconds. Despite the stress of dealing with the Senate, she had never lost her cool on the surface like she had now. "As I said before, we must stand united. We cannot allow petty things to divide us. This matter will be given the utmost importance by Intelligence," she said glancing at the Ithorian Senator in his hovering pod, "and any collaborators will be found. Until then, let us leave this issue to Director Isard, and focus on the other tasks at hand." As she smiled to relieve some of the anger in the chamber, she looked again at the Ithorian Senator. Though he was quiet and his pod was withdrawing to its niche, he did not look entirely satisfied, which left her with a lingering feeling of frustration as the Senate moved on to other issues.

OOC: The Senator from Sullust must represent a government-in-exile, as Sullust is a member of the Crimson Flame Hegemony

Hyperspace

Gerald Tarkin leaned back in his expansive command chair, which was easily mistaken for a throne. On their way to the shipyard world of Hakassi, he had allowed himself to take a little nap, but the rumble of the Hyperspace thrusters had awakened him before long.

Watching the brilliant blue lines of Hyperspace, he didn't notice his adjutant, who entered his cabin. Only when he cleared his throat did Gerald turn around.

"Yes?"
"Sir, we have picked up a hyperwave transmission. It says Rothana has been raided, its shipyards destroyed and engineers captured," his adjutant explained.
"Blast! Cursed warlords! Coruscant will no doubt blame me!"

Gerald uttered curse after curse; unlike most other Tarkins, he was able to let out steam by yelling and cursing, making him much less bloodthirsty than his infamous familiars. So instead of murdering entire populations from time to time, he just screamed and yelled. The comm beeped again, receiving another signal.

"Sir, we are receiving another transmission," the adjutant said, his voice by no means shaken by Gerald's explosion.
"Play it!"

The transmission was plain video footage, captured by a Hegemony spy ship positioned outside the Rothana system.
It showed a flotilla attacking the shipyards. Leading the flotilla was an ungainly-looked flat vaguely triangular warship.

"That's the Doomgiver, no doubt! So it was that petty little scientist-turned-admiral Fyyar and his small band of raiders! I bet he's busy celebrating this very minute, aboard that ugly surfboard of a gunned-up transport!"
His adjutant snickered, and immediately caught himself doing so, "I'm sorry sir, but your description of the Doomgiver is just so... fitting."
"Indeed it is," he suddenly realized something, "now set the course for Paladin Station! The Wilhuff can wait a bit, I've just had a splendid idea!"
"Yes sir!"

OOC means Out Of Character, a term once used by all RP'ers to signal that the message was from themselves, rather than their RPG-character(s). The opposite term is IC, which means In Character.

However, it was used when posting colors was still something experimental, to avoid any confusion.

It's just an old habit of mine, and archaic by now, as very few (if anyone else?) use it anymore

Not much time tonight, so just a couple of paragraphs. I'm quite surprised that my attack on Ithor didn't have you guys screaming at me, even I thought it a tad OTT.

Admiral Ackbar, Yavin System

It was a great shame, a great shame indeed. Ackbar wndered alone through the winding jungles of Yavin, having told his guard to lag a while behind. He had come to Yavin straight from Mon Calamari, where he had been reforming old ties, preparing for the revolution, and now he was here, to report to Garm Bel Ibis. To Ackbar the continuation of the rebellion was essential, it would be an insult to him and his people to fight for democracy, then abandon it halfway. To Ackbar the Empire would always be the Empire, Palpatine or Mothma. To Ackbar Mothma had already condemned herself to walk Palpatine's path of corruption and despotism, as had Leia and his freind, Jan Dodonna.

It was an absurdity, thought Ackbar, that Supreme General Dodonna now stood beside Grand Admiral Piett as the highest commanders in the Imperial Armed Forces. Ackbar harrumphed loudly and continued to walk up to the temple where the rebellion had almost ended so many years ago. Ibis was standing outside waiting for him.

"Admiral, I am glad you have finally arrived."

Meh, I said it would be short. Also a heads up, I'm looking at taking Dodonna or Piett, which would mean I'd be playing a military commander on every side. The point is this however, is anyone interested in taking the character I don't (Dodonna or Piett) because that could lead to some very interesting interations I think. Just a thought.

TALORAAN-DOOMGIVER

From the viewport on the bridge of his flagship, Fyyar admired his new fleet. The captured vessels had been outfitted to maximum capacity, ensuring that they would be deadly in battle.

Fyyar had chosen the skies of the gas giant Taloraan to hide his forces for the time being. Though it had once been home to an Imperial mining operation, it was only sparsely populated now, allowing for his fleet to go unnoticed, or at least for any who wandered upon it to be quickly dealt with. He had also ordered stormtroopers to recover any harvested tibanna gas left over from past mining expeditions, so that the turbolasers of his vessels could be enhanced with the gas.

Fyyar turned to the flagship's captain. "Are we able to make a transmission at this position?"

"Yes, Admiral," responded the captain. "We are also far enough away from any of the settlements so that any transmissions we make will go undetected."

"Very good," Fyyar said. Leaving the captain to tend to duties on the bridge, Fyyar left the bridge and walked briskly down the Doomgiver's corridors until he reached his private communications suite. Making sure the doors were sealed to guard against any possible eavesdroppers, Fyyar set the holotransceivers to the proper frequency, and waited. This was the time they had agreed upon. For some reason, Lumiya was not able to make the rendezvous in person, and replied to his earlier message with the time they were to talk and the HoloNet frequency he was to use.

After about a minute, the console next to him alerted him that he was receiving a transmission. Fyyar had made sure that the transmission would go directly to his communications suite and not through the Doomgiver's open channels. He pressed a button to allow the transmission to come through, and a moment later, the image of the Dark Lady Lumiya appeared before him, clad in her usual dark cloak and triangular headress and bathed in the blue light characteristic of holographic transmissions.

"Congratulations, Admiral," Lumiya said. "Your seizure of the ships at Rothana is to be commended, as are your actions to ensure your anonymity in the attack."

"Thank you, my lady," said Fyyar, giving her a short bow. "We were also able to capture Rothana's finest engineers before rendering its shipyards into oblivion."

"Very good," said Lumiya. "They will be useful in our future endeavours."

"My lady, might I ask, where exactly are you at this moment?" asked Fyyar. "I simply wish to know what other activities you are pursuing to help our cause." Fyyar smiled.

"That is none of your concern," replied Lumiya sternly. "All you need to know is that it does involve our plan. You will concentrate on gathering allies and ships, and leave the rest to me, is that understood?" Lumiya stared at him coldly.

"Of course, my lady," said Fyyar. At that moment, the console next to him notified him that there was a transmission from the bridge. Looking up at Lumiya, he said, "My lady, if you will excuse me for a moment-"

Lumiya simply nodded.

Beside Lumiya appeared the hologram of the Doomgiver's captain. The captain could not see Lumiya's hologram, but Lumiya could see him. "Sir, they are waiting to speak with you."

"No doubt as a result of our victory at Rothana," said Fyyar, speaking more to Lumiya then the captain. Looking at the captain, he said, "Thank you, captain," and promptly ended the transmission from the bridge.

Lumiya answered Fyyar's question before he had a chance to ask it. "Go ahead. I will observe, and we will continue once they are satisfied."

Fyyar pressed a button on the console, and the images of his various benefactors and allies appeared on different holoprojectors. "Greetings, esteemed friends," said Fyyar, smiling falsely at the newcomers. Among those present was the rather heavyset Moff Prentioch, the female Moff Leonia Tavira from Eiattu, the so-called Warlord of Wild Space, Moff Delurin, former Admiral Delak Krennel of the Ciutric Hegemony, and Baron Ulric Tagge of the House of Tagge and the TaggeCo shipping magnate. These individuals had provided Fyyar with both funds and military resources, in exchange for a return of some of the spoils of Fyyar's eventual victory. Though it was a very loose alliance, and most of its members were pursuing their own individual agendas, their support had given Fyyar substantial military strength.

"Our congratulations on your victory at Rothana," said Admiral Krennel. "We were not expecting such a significant victory so soon from you. I must say, we are delightfully surprised to find ourselves wrong in that assumption."

"Thank you," said Fyyar.

"It is my understanding that you captured a team of engineers from Rothana's shipyards," said Moff Prentioch.

"That is correct, your Excellency," Fyyar responded.

"My sources in the Crimson Flame Hegemony have provided me with the information that Gerald Tarkin has had his eye on Rothana for some time, in particular its skilled engineers," said Prentioch. "Perhaps you might use that fact to your advantage in dealing with Tarkin."

"Thank you for the suggestion, Excellency," said Fyyar. "I will take it into consideration."

"Have the ships captured from Rothana been finished completely?" asked Baron Tagge.

"They have, your Excellency, and even been modified further to make them more powerful."

Moff Tavira spoke next. "The Rebel usurpers and traitors on Coruscant are tied up with other affairs at the moment. You would do best by using this to your full advantage."

"Of course, Moff Tavira," Fyyar said to her. Glancing at Lumiya, he said, "Will that be all?"

"Yes, Admiral Fyyar," said Baron Tagge. "We simply wished to congratulate you on your victory. I trust you will keep us informed of future developments?"

"Of course," said Fyyar. The holograms of his benefactors disappeared.

"They will serve their usefulness," Lumiya said. "After they have outlived it, we will do away with them. Our alliance with them is simply a means to an end."

"Yes," said Fyyar, nodding.

"I will go now," Lumiya said. "There are other matters I must attend to." Her hologram faded away.

The communications console indicated he had another transmission from the bridge. He pressed the button on the console, and the hologram of the Doomgiver's captain appeared.

"Admiral, General Veers has arrived," the captain said.

"Excellent. I will meet with him at once."

@ Bando: I will post now but just Veers' arrival on the Doomgiver.

Hangar bay of the Doomgiver,

Veers hovered off his shuttle to be greeted by a rather young ensign.

"Admiral Fyyar will see you now sir, please follow me," the ensign said.

"Alright," Veers' hoverchair started moving in the direction the ensign was leading him.

What does this scientist want...

Hopefully that should be good enough. Yeah Veers REALLY doesn't like Fyyar

Here you go FoO: Let the Wookiee win

What was YOUR ME3 ending: Merge with Helios, Illuminati, or Tracer Tong?

@Vader: Well they're going to have to reach a compromise if they're going to work together and Veers is going to have ships . But I'm sure Tarkin or Jasem would be glad to have you, if you ask Fyyar (the RPer) or FoO...

OOC: The Crimson Flame Hegemony will gladly accept the services of such an illustrious military commander, Vader

Paladin Station, near Rothana system

Built during the Clone Wars as a traffic control and defense station, the outermost layer of Rothanas defense, Paladin Station was a standard-model large Imperial station, equipped with many hangars and docks, and armed to fend off a sizeable assault force.
Unlike the Rothana system, Paladin Station had joined the Crimson Flame Hegemony, and now constituted the border guard with the little pocket of Imperial space. It had permitted the Gerald to keep a watchful eye on Rothana, and one of its spy ships had filmed Fyyar’s attack on the system.

From the command center of Paladin Station, one could see the Rothana system, a mere 3 lightyears away, through several observation posts. The enormous dense cluster of stars that were the Core Systems was also clearly visible in the background, making the view one of the most breathtaking in the entire Galaxy.

Aboard the station was an unofficial comm line to Rothana’s ruling families, with whom the Hegemony had made a few unofficial deals. They were, of course, in distress over Fyyar’s attack:
“He has some nerve to attack the Rothana system!” The Rothana representative said.
Gerald smirked, and said, “actually, it’s no secret Rothana’s defenses are not what they have been. I think it was a quite clever move, as the faux-Empire is essentially unable to provide you with adequate protection. Had the Crimson Flame Hegemony been in charge of the defense, things would have been different.”
Deflated for a moment, the Rothanan looked at Gerald, “Mr. First Citizen, I agree. I will bring up the matter with the Families immediately.”
“Very good. But first, would you please answer a question of mine?”
“It depends on the nature of the question,” replied the representative.
“Well, that irritating bug Fyyar crippled your orbital shipyards and captured a group of your engineers, but I assume Rothana’s planetary production capacity is unhurt?”
The Rothanan smiled, “quite so, Mr. First Citizen. Only our shipyards were destroyed; Fyyar was never within range of attacking our ground-based factories, all of which are located in bunkers and protected by layers of defense emplacements, shields and armor. Furthermore, some of our most skilled engineers was planetside during the raid. A third of our defense fleet also survived the attack, being based on a moon of the seventh planet in our system.”
“How fortunate. You can tell the Families that what I offer is not only protection, but also a full military contract and resources to rebuild the shipyards.”
“I will,” the representative cut the connection.

Looking at the stars, Gerald eagerly awaited the reply. Rothana had little choice but to accept their place as a member of the Hegemony.
