RPG Name: Desperation
Author: Puddle_man
Description: The rpg would be set a few years after KotoR 2. The Jedi Exile has left the galaxy, to aid Revan and the republic is in shatters.The rpg would let you be either a jedi/soldier of the Republic or a dark jedi/soldier of the Sith in their goal to secure/conquer the galaxy. Depending on how the rpg goes would alter the entire Star Wars history.

The idea is somewhat sketchy at the moment but with a bit of refining, may work. What do you think?

RPG Name: Star Wars: The Beginning
Author: BriJr
Description: Takes place before modern records of the Star Wars galaxy. Includes two groups:
~Allied Sovereignty (First group of varied species with organized government. Humans, Maians)

~Skedar ( PD reference)

This is based before the movies and games and will tell of how the Star Wars galaxy first started out. The ancient humans have finally discovered space travel and with the help of their new allies, The Maians, a civilization of extraterrestrials, have stopped warring against their fellow man. Peace reigned until the Skedar attacked. A vicious group of predatorial creatures. The ancient ancestors of the Chistori, they are vengeful and want to control the galaxy.

There are only 3 species because no more have been found by the humans, Maians, or Skedar (the skedar destroy the new species they find). The humans have only landed on a few planets and the jedi are not in abundance. The few that recognize they're power are usually exiled. The skedar are voilent and it is common for them to kill each other out of spite. All species talk in English (to make things easier), but the Skedar have a tendency of saying a few words and then waiting and finishing the sentence 5-20 seconds later.

This will play out on a first come, first serve basis. You want a main character (who I will name if this is chosen) then you get there first and ask.

@ BriJr: Quite like you're idea, exploring parts of star wars that have not been touched before. We could be as creative as we wanted to be, but sooner or later we would have to integrate the Rakatans and the ifinite empire (if the rpg got that far).

@ Sir Billy: Again, another good idea. It would be enjoyable seeing Palpatine/Sidious watching everything he has forseen crumble into dust.

I'd join both RPG's if they were formed so put me down as interested.

Resurected RPG's usually don't so so well. Though as we have seen in OR they can work. It would be better if someone tried something... new. I don't know, maybe those of you who want to join an RPG should look at those moving. OR is going really strong right now I am proud to say

Well Convulsion was a really good idea, and it had really good players in it, but it still died.

Meh I'll wait on it, but Convulsion is coming back.

Alrighty, guys, I need your help. I have 3 RPG ideas.

-The Hundred-Year Darkness: 6,900 BBY (aka the Second Great Schism where the Dark Jedi eventually get exiled from the Republic)

-Legacy of the Force: 40 ABY (I'm not going to follow the previewed storyline at all instead we'll have the Sith return and see a huge war erupt between the light and dark sides)

-Alternative ANH: 0 BBY (What would've happened if Leia contacted Obi-Wan Kenobi, would have a large opening post, basically Obi-Wan'd take Luke to Alderaan, meet up with Bail Organa, then spark a full-scale Rebellion, who wouldn't want to see Vader and the Emperor actually fighting on teh front lines?)

So, what should I develope further. I need your help.

I'd like to a D20 simulatin at one point, as in when I see what the interest level is...

IMO, Legacy of the Force would be the best of those three, Austin.

Yea I would have to lean more towards your legacy of the Force idea Austin.

Pacifica, D20 RPG's have been tried but they are rather hard to do, trust me :P

Well if Persia and DSF both agree. I'll share what I have so far.

Although battle-scarred from the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the galaxy has at large returned to normal. Things wind down, and everything goes well, for a while. People begin to question the Jedi, the Galactic Alliance, and how the war was handled. Many thought that if someone like Palpatine had been in charge the Yuuzhan Vong would have been exterminated before they made it even close to the Core Worlds. The most extreme think that a new empire would benefit the galaxy greater than the Alliance or Jedi ever could because, unlike the Galactic Alliance or New Republic before it, the Empire's reign had been stable, with no massive wars or rampant destruction like the galaxy had seen in recent years.

The conflicts brews....

Things progressively get worse, arguments boil between those who support the Alliance and those who call for reform of the so-called 'weak' government and Jedi. Arguments escalate to violence. On worlds such as Kuat, which had benefitted massively under the Empire and suffered major damage in the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, riots break out and Jedi are deployed to help keep the peace, but this seems only to anger the rioters even more. Discontent even spreads among the Jedi. And some decide leave the Order.

Into the fray steps a mysterious man, he comes to the discontent around the galaxy, saying he can lead them to a new golden age. His movement gains strength. Some worlds openly revolt and declare themselves independent of the Galactic Alliance and Jedi, although only the most extreme.

The galaxy is on the brink of war, it needs only a spark to ignite the flames.

Alright, I still have to think of that 'spark' any help would be nice.

When this whole war actually starts, we'll see a new empire that trains Sith squaring off with the Jedi and Galactic Alliance. The strange man who's helping those who will eventually join this new Empire is going to be some kind of Sith/Dark Jedi (perhaps frozen in carbonite from the Sith Wars/KOTO era?).

The new bad guys will definitely have an Imperial theme to them and do everything based on how the Empire did it because that's what they want to rebuild. So, we will see the "Three S's" as I like to call 'em-Stormtroopers, Superweapons, and Star Destroyers.

That's why I thought the name 'Galactic Sith Empire' fits, the onyl problem is that I first heard it on www.rpggamer.org think it'd be okay to use?

I'm also contemplating doing a faction, or character-based RPG. If it is faction ,it would be liek the Return of the Jedi series.

Now, this idea is light years away from perfect and I'd like as much input as possible, all ideas are welcome.

I always like stories that begin with huge battles. Gladiator, Starwars 3 ect ect. Maybe all the characters begin in the same huge battle and when it ends go there seperate ways. Maybe to meet up later along the way to fight or to ally. Whatever, just some ideas.
