Star Wars
Empire’s Bane

With the GALACTIC EMPIRE’s historic victory at the Battle of Endor, the REBEL ALLIANCE was all but eliminated. Imperial control of the known galaxy is now total; no star system dares oppose the mighty fist of the Empire.

Luke Skywalker has turned to the dark side. With the help of his father, Darth Vader, he has killed Palpatine and assumed control of the Empire. The remnants of the Alliance under General Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa have fled to the Unknown Regions, becoming the NEW REPUBLIC.

The Empire has allowed this Republic to exist for five years now, with peace slowly settling over the galaxy. Diplomatic overtures to an alliance have commenced between Skywalker and top Republic leaders. But, in the shadows, dark plans have been laid to tear open the wounds of war and reignite the terrible struggle…

In this thread, we shall construct a post-RotJ history very different from that in the Expanded Universe. Darth Vader and Palpatine are both dead, but the Empire under Luke Skywalker holds ultimate control, with only the fledgling New Republic as its rival. A cease-fire has held for several years between the two, culminating in a treaty that officially ended the war, with real peace close at hand. Emperor Skywalker, now a Dark Jedi, is well-loved throughout the galaxy and respected as a benevolent leader. His sister, Leia Organa, is the President of the New Republic, as Mon Mothma was killed when Home One was destroyed, which has greatly facilitated negotiations.

However, not all are so pleased with the state of the galaxy. A splinter of the criminal organization Black Sun has established itself as a great threat. Calling itself the Order of the Black Heart, it is composed of a group of dark siders who would see a true Sith Lord in command of the galaxy once more and are willing to take whatever measures necessary to accomplish their task. And they may have found the key to their success…

Note that, as of the Peace Act signed three years after Endor, the Galactic Civil War is officially ended and, by the Galactic Arms Treaty, signed a year later, all superweapons are banned. Furthermore, both factions were compelled to maintain similar, limited levels of military power. As such, though both are powerful in their own way, there are little military forces on either side to speak of and they are roughly equal. This may change as the thread goes on.

State of the Galaxy:

The Shadow Hand's reign of terror has begun. The assault on Coruscant has resulted in an indecisive victory - the Empire has managed to maintain defense of the planet, sending the Outer Rim Protection Association back to the outskirts of space, but the cost is great. The infamous DEATH SEED plague has been unleashed on the planet's surface, the Imperial Palace destroyed, and Emperor SKYWALKER has been captured. His loyal followers, MARA JADE and JAMES VITA, now lead the desperate search for him aboard Grand Moff KAINE's flagship, the REAPER. With the help of KANARAI, the redeemed DARTH TRAYTON, they scour the holds of the vessel. to rescue their master from the torturous designs of DARTH CASSIUS and DARTH RUNE.

A mere hyperjump away, Admiral PELLAEON has led his forces to a stalemate with the Republic commander MORLEV at Metellos. Both sides have agreed to a cease fire for the moment, and the Republic has acquiesced to Imperial demands to vacate the system. Into this, Admiral AR'ALANI of the Chiss comes to offer the Empire aid.

KYLE KATARN and his New Order have roused themselves; the Jedi Generals now begin to embark on an aid mission to help defeat Kaine and free the Emperor. Luke and James, meanwhile, have renounced the dark side fully, forsaking the way of the Gray Jedi to join the light in the coming battle.

In an effort to stem the dark tide, Emperor Skywalker has enlisted the services of LANDO CALRISSIAN to try and pinpoint the root cause of the conflict. Working in conjunction with the Imperial super-spy MAZH TIRON, Calrissian begins the trace the dark hold the Shadow Hand has taken. But neither he no Tiron fully comprehend how deep treachery runs.

In the Inner Core, Admiral ULRICK JIFOR and General NIVON DIVARA have crash landed on a mysterious planet after being shot down by a figure known only as DARTH SIDIOUS. With nowhere to run and no way to call for help, the pair of them organize a resistance movement to drive off this Sidious and return to the Empire.

And what of Darth Cassius? His dark designs for the galaxy have only just begun to take shape. But none, not even Cronal, can guess the true depth of this Sith lord's malignance. The shroud of the dark side has fallen...

Characters

If you’d like to join this thread, simply fill out the entry below and submit it in a post.

Name: The character’s name.
Occupation: What exactly is this character’s job? May also include faction.
Bio: A short summary of the character’s life on the galactic frontier. If you didn’t indicate the character’s faction in the “occupation” section, please do so here. Otherwise, the character will simply be placed under “Other Characters.”

The Galactic Empire

After Endor, the Empire emerged as strong as ever. With a budding young leader and the finest Starfleet in the galaxy, there were few who could stand in the Empire’s way – and with a benevolent new ruler, even fewer who wanted to. With the passage of the Galactic Arms Treaty, the Imperial military was downscaled to match that of the fledgling New Republic’s, leaving the Empire at a slight tactical disadvantage, but one that it more than makes up for in the loyalty of its men and the might of its powerful ships. However, even in the age of peace, there are those who oppose what the new Empire stands for, which has given rise to a shady, underground intelligence gathering regime beyond the sight of the general populace to ensure that order remains the rule in the galaxy….

Name: Luke Skywalker – Melkor1
Occupation: Dark Jedi, Emperor
Bio: TF.N Bio Seduced by the dark side, Luke Skywalker destroyed the Emperor with the help of his father, Darth Vader. Sadly, Vader was killed in Palpatine’s final throes, but not before returning to the light. Vowing to remember the lessons of his father, Luke remains true to his Jedi ideals, but he’s not afraid to use the dark side to get the job done. Perhaps it was his mercy that allowed the New Republic its final haven in the Unknown Regions. Emperor Skywalker is a wise and benevolent Emperor, and the people enjoy a great deal of freedoms under his rule. By his order, the Death Star II project was scrapped, and a treaty was signed with the New Republic in which both factions swore to never again introduce superweapons into the galaxy again.

Name: Gilad Pellaeon – Melkor1
Occupation: Admiral in the Imperial Navy, commander of the Emperor’s Fleet
Bio: TF.N Bio When the Rebel flagship, Home One, was destroyed, the crew used its last breath of life to ram the Executor. Fatally wounded, both ships exploded, killing many fine officers from both factions. Captain Pellaeon assumed control of the Imperial fleet upon Admiral Piett’s death, and set his Star Destroyers on an offensive run that seriously crippled the Rebel effort. The Alliance surrendered and, once conditions of surrender were arranged, Skywalker let the Rebels go. Pellaeon serves as the commander of Skywalker’s personal Emperor’s Fleet and as his most trusted advisor. Pellaeon holds much influence within the military.

Name: Mara Jade – Melkor1
Occupation: Emperor’s Hand
Bio: Wookiepedia Bio After Palpatine’s death, Mara pledged her allegiance to the new Emperor Skywalker. Along with Sate Pestage, she is Skywalker’s primary protector and even advises him on occasion. While she doesn’t necessarily agree with the changes to the Empire, she respects Skywalker and is unendingly loyal to him as the Emperor.

Name: James Vita - kypjargon
Age: 30
Height: 6"
Weight: 180 lbs
Eye Color: Gold
Hair Color: Buzz cut black
Complexion: Dark
Occupation: Dark Jedi
Rank: Luke Skywalker's Apprentice
Bio:

James was born on Coruscant two years before the start of the Clone Wars. His parents left him on the doorstep of the Jedi Temple when he was two years old and he was taken in by the Jedi after being recognised as Force sensitive. He was trained by Master Yoda for several years, until the end of the Clone Wars and Anakin Skywalker's attack on the temple.

The other younglings could sense a dark presence approaching, and rushed to meet Anakin Skywalker. James, however did not. He hid and tried to hide himself within the Force. He succeeded, and managed to escape after Master Yoda and Master Kenobi returned. He developed a deep-seated mistrust for the Jedi after that, and spent the next ten years on the street.

He enrolled at the Stormtrooper academy after using the Force to convince the person taking his application that he was eighteen. He trained as a stormtrooper for almost a year, before undertaking pilot training. Due to his Force Sensitivity he was a brilliant pilot and was soon transferred to the 181st TIE squadron under Soontir Fel. He did not like the elitist attitudes of the 181st pilots, and applied for a transfer soon after.

He lead a squadron of TIE Interceptors into the Battle of Endor, and was responsible for firing the shot that catapulted an enemy A-Wing into the bridge of the Executor. Shortly after the Battle of Endor he was brought before Skywalker, who invited him to be his apprentice. James agreed, and has been training under Skywalker ever since.

Name: Moff Cecil Heseltine - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Imperial Moff
Bio: A sickly, miserly young man, Cecil Heseltine’s career as a Moff began when Emperor Palpatine spotted his extraordinary talent for making money (and keeping it safe.) Known as "the Little Miser" by those he governed, as well as one or two other Moffs, Heseltine’s greatest military achievements were also due to his large amounts of money - one two occasions he successfully bribed Rebel commanders sent to depose him into retreating. After the battle of Endor, Heseltine was one of the first Imperial officials to swear fealty to Luke Skywalker, and remains true to his oath today.

Name: Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn) – Melkor
Occupation: Grand Admiral, Imperial Navy
Bio: Grand Admiral Thrawn
Despite the Empire's prejudice against non-humans, he became the only non-human to reach the Imperial Navy's highest rank – that of Grand Admiral. He was also the last Grand Admiral promoted by the Emperor; he earned the rank because of his instrumental role in stopping Grand Admiral Zaarin's attempted coup, receiving the late Zaarin's rank and position as a reward.

Thrawn was considered a true warrior by those who served under him. If a battle Thrawn planned could not be won, Thrawn preferred not to waste troops and equipment in futile displays of power; he would withdraw and adjust his plans.

Name: General Maximilian Veers - Archbishop Green
Occupation:[/b] Imperial General
Bio: A proud and patriotic Imperial general, Veers is every bit the proper Imperial soldier and is best known as the man who led the Empire to victory at Hoth. While he was initially sceptical about the circumstances surrounding Emperor Skywalker's rise to power, Veers is now happy to accept him as his Emperor.

Name: Lando Calrissian - Protected NPC
Occupation: Baron Administrator of Cloud City
Bio: Wookiepedia Bio General Calrissian abandoned the Rebellion soon after its defeat at Endor, hoping to distance himself from the failed insurrection. As a personal favor, Emperor Skywalker reinstated him as Baron Administrator of Cloud City, further appointing him as the Empire's de facto governor of Bespin. Since then, his business has thrived as constant demand for tibanna gas keeps his operation in high demand. He still maintains close contact with both the Emperor Skywalker and his old friend, Han Solo.

Name: Moff Jerjerrod - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Imperial Moff
Bio: Formerly the commander of the Second Death Star at Endor, upon the Empire's victory he returned to his sector and resumed his normal duties as a Moff. Needless to say, he still remembers fondly the destructive power he wielded before and is dismayed about the ban on superweapons. For now, however, he is content to deal with the humdrum affairs of government. Interestingly, he has capitalised on his presence at Endor (perhaps exaggerating his importance slightly) and has forged a successful career in politics as well.

Name: Darth Trayton Kanarai - Cheapy the Hutt
Faction: Galactic Empire
Occupation: Dark Foce Acolyte
Bio: Trayton was once a Jedi Padawan at the Jedi Temple. After Order 66, he fled to the unknown Regions, presumably to his fall. When he returned, he swore loyalty to Luke Skyalker's new Empire and became his enforcer.
Personal Ship (Optional): The Legacy of the Sith, an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer.
Other (Optional): Trayton has two curved crimson lightsabers, although he usually only wields one at a time. He is the greatest master of Makashi since Count Dooku and Darth Nihilus.

Name: DK-447 - Pacifica
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Bio: Built secretly on Coruscant by an expert programmer and mechanic, DK-447 was commissioned by Palpatine to be his personal assassin. Given an updated Droideka body, along with an Adaptive A.I., DK-447 is a fully sentient droid. Once he was finished building the droid, the programmer/mechanic presented it to Palpatine, who murdered him, but not before the programmer could activate a secret code, that made DK-447 fully independent. When Palpatine tried to give DK-447 a command, it shot a missile at him and unleashed a hail of blaster fire.

Since then DK has become a well known bounty hunter, one that rivaled Jango Fett. DK has taken many bounties that Fett himself was hunting, and has captured. In an engagement with Fett, when Fett tried to flank him with his rocketpack, DK-447 activated his own repulsor gear and followed Fett into the skies, nearly killing him. Since then Fett and 447 have crossed blasters many times, with no clear victor. 447 was approached by Count Dooku, and asked to be a General in the Droid Armies. DK-447 agreed.

During the Clone Wars, 447 was known as the Destroyer. Because of his lack of emotions, he would kill of entire planets, just to help the Confederacy. He was one of the people chosen for an attack on a Republic world, an attack that made it seem like the Republic had killed off the entire population on the orders of the Jedi Council. He did many such deeds, earning himself distinction. When the Clone wars finally ended, he just went back to being a bounty hunter, and has stayed that way ever since.

Name: Divon Nivarra - Pacifica
Bio: A native of Alderaan, he was born right after Order 66 was declared. His family all worked on repairing capitol ships, so when it came time for him too choose a job, he refused to break tradition. By sheer luck, no Jedi Hunter found out that there was a family of Force sensitives for a while. Divon was returning home from work one night, when he was 15. A rodian stopped him in the street, and told him to not go to his house. The rodian pulled him into an alley way, and told him about an organization called the Rebellion to restore the Republic, and organization better known as the Rebel Alliance. He said that some Imperial Stormtroopers had stormed his house and killed everyone there. The rodian lead Divon to the wreckage of his house, where he could see the bodies of his family. Here, on a abandoned rooftop, Divon Nivarra was sworn into the Rebel Alliance.

His escape from Alderaan involved a pair of R41-Starchasers. They where pursued by an Imperial Correlian Corvette, which Divon suggested they lead into an Asteroid field. The rodian replied he wasn't a good enough pilot, and Divon said that he had a knack for flying things. Divon lead the Corvette into a nearby asteroid field, where it soon was hammered into oblivion. The pair made there way to the Rebel Alliance, with the rodian revealing that his name was Varnar Dilgo. Divon soon became a fighter pilot for the Alliance, and mainly piloted a Z95 Headhunter. He participated in the stealing of the X-Wing from the Empire, and was soon put in command of Blue Squadron. He was one of the few pilots who survived the first Death Star, and he also was able to turn an ambush of his squadron by a proto-type Interdirector-Cruiser into the destruction of the proto-type, and the escape of most of his squadron. He also participated in the battle of Derra IV, and was one of the few Rebels who survived that mission.

At the Battle of Hoth, Divon flew around blowing up AT-ST's, and once landed on a group of stormtroopers, crushing some, and then took off again, burning the others too a crisp. After Hoth, he flew many missions, and participated in an infamous battle in the Galactic Civil War, the battle of Polis Massa. Here a Rebellion Nebulon-B -Frigate was ambushed by a pair of Victory-Class Star Destroyers and an Interdirector. Divon was able to take out the Interdirector with a salvo of proton torpedoes, but the Nebulon-B was destroyed, along with the supply convoy it was guarding.

Divon was a participant in the Battle of Endor. He lead his squadron in a strike against a knot of Tie Interceptors that broke the formation up, and allowed a nearby A-Wing squadron too finish them off. He also lead a group that went around blowing up shield generators on Imperial Capitol ships. When the Death Stars shield went down, he helped cover Wedge and Lando's descent, and was able to pick off a large amount of Ties and turbolaser turrets while doing so. He then attacked the Executor, blowing up several Turbolaser Turrets before it crashed and exploded. By this time the Imperial fleet was disorganized, and the Rebels where able to pick them off.

After the Battle of Endor, he flew many more missions before realizing he was Force-Sensitive. He then sought the training academy on Yavin 4. Here, he leaned the ways of the Jedi, but eventually returned to the military life, in order to command Mongol squadron, perhaps Rogue squadrons only New Republic equals.
Other: Jedi Knight, General in New Republic Navy, Commander of Mongol Squadron, has 1 yellow lightsaber.

Name: Ulrick Jifor - Pacifica2
Occupation: New Republic Admiral
Bio: Ulrick Jifor started as any normal Bothan would. He went and learned to be a spy. It never favored him, and he soon joined the Rebellion to transfer capitol ships. There he worked as bridge crew for 2 years, before he got his first command. It was the Correlian Corvette Destiny's Way. It was destroyed after he rammed it into the Executor at Endor, and made it slam into the Home One. By then he was a General, and 2 years later was appointed Admiral. As Admiral he has been a particularly strong advocate of peace, and refuses to attack anyone or go to war without solid evidence.

Name: Galak Fyyar - Cheapy
Occupation: Admiral
Bio: Admiral Fyyar is, quite simply, a technological genius A friend of General Rohm Moc, Galak helped the General with his Dark Trooper design. Galak has spent the last six years after the Battle of Endor researching new designs for the Empire, waiting for the day when they will actually be field tested...

The New Republic

Battered and defeated, the Rebel Alliance limped to the Unknown Regions of the galaxy and began to establish a new society. Despite Imperial promises of peace, the Alliance remained bitter and began constructing a new fleet to engage the Empire once more in the struggle for freedom – until Emperor Skywalker approached them with an offering of peace. With this overture, the Galactic Civil War ended and the New Republic was born. On the industrialized world of Gerund IV, the Republic established its new capital and began the process of rebuilding. Currently, the New Republic is a thriving civilization, responsible for mapping almost the entire Unknown Regions and colonizing. Despite the peace, many officials remain distrustful of the Empire, and rumors abound of secret Jedi…

Name: Leia Organa Solo – Pacifica
Occupation: President of the New Republic
Bio: TF.N Bio When it became clear that the Rebels had lost the day, Leia Organa called for an immediate surrender. The newly christened Emperor Skywalker granted her an audience, and the two spoke for several hours. No one quite knows what was said, but, in the end, the Alliance was allowed safe passage to the Unknown Regions to build up a new galactic faction. Leia was appointed interim leader until a new constitution could be arranged. During this period, she married General Han Solo. Later, she was appointed President and heads up many official duties. Her expertise has led to a number of important treaties between the Empire and the Republic.

Name: Tiara Tranada - kypjargon
Age: 34
Occupation: Commander of the Second Fleet
Birthplace: Corellia
Bio: Tiara was born on Corellia to two agents of Corellian Security. Because of her parents' high standing within the military, she was exposed to the intricasies of Command from a very early age. The New Republic military was gutted in the battle of Endor, and thus she rose quickly through the ranks to become Fleet Commander of the New Republic Second Fleet.

Name: Will Kobindi - kypjargon
Age: 29
Occupation: Squadron Leader - Rogue Squadron
Birthplace: Corellia
Bio: One of few Corellians to leave his home system when he joined the Empire, William Kobindi was a natural in the drivers seat of any vehicle he ever entered. He excelled at the Imperial Academy and achieved what no pilot before or since has ever achieved. His first posting was to the 181st TIE Squadron. The 181st was on board the Executor when Vader was searching for Luke Skywalker, and many of the pilots questioned his ability to lead. Will went further than that and resigned his commission in order to lead the Rebellion. Flying missions from the Base on Circarpous XIII, he met Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa personally before they crashed on Mimban and was a part of the rescue team that removed them. After the battle of Endor, Wedge Antilles was promoted elsewhere, and Will was given command of Rogue Squadron, a title that he is reluctant to relinquish despite more prestigious postings being offered.

Name: Saysen Jazem - Friend of Old
Occupation: Ex-Assasin
Bio: Some, in the past, had said that Saysen Jazem was the most weird man in the galaxy, and they wouldn't have been far wrong. Saysen was comprised of contradictions, for example he despied killing, yet had lived as a hired killer all his life. He was sickened by the sight of blood, yet had painstakingly crafted what was probably the only gun in the galaxy that would draw blood at every shot. Then there was Jazem himself, despite making all the decisions that would shorten his life, he had lived past the human life expectancy already, and despite his effeciency and taltent he preferred to have someone to answer to.

Name: Dagmar Morlev - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Supreme Commander of all Republic Forces (Formerly: Chief Surface Marshal and High Admiral)
Bio: Born 36 BBY on Alderaan, Dagmar was one of the few survivors of the destruction of Alderaan by the first Death Star. Joining the Rebellion soon after, Dagmar distinguished himself as a commander, both on the ground and in space. Holding ranks in both the ground and naval forces at the same time (Quite unusual in the Rebellion, likely against regulation.) made him stand out among the officer ranks. After the Battle of Endor, Dagmar Morlev was promoted to Chief Surface Marshal and High Admiral. When hostilities began boiling over between the Republic and Empire, it was decided by the Senate that a position of Supreme Military Command was needed. After some deliberation, Dagmar was chosen as Supreme Commander of all Republic Forces. As a survivor of Alderaan, he holds a deep hostility to the Galactic Empire and Luke Skywalker especially, for what he sees as a grievous betrayal. Eschewing larger and more powerful ships, Dagmar is a realist and prefers conventional forces. As such, his flagship is a MC80b Star Cruiser. His military headquarters is a 2KM space station (Code named: Alpha Prime) orbiting Tragos, one of the few heavily industrialized New Republic worlds neighboring the Gerund System.

Jedi Knights

The guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, as they have been for millenia, the Jedi are still a significant presence in the galaxy. The Purge left very few of these renowned warriors, but a splinter of the Old Order still remains, so carefully hidden that even Master Yoda missed their Force signatures. In the wake of the Galactic Civil War, the Force is once again beginning to flourish. The ex-mercenary Kyle Katarn, to whom Luke taught many secrets of the Force, has forged a New Order that serves the interests of the New Republic. Many of these Jedi distrust the Empire because of Order 66 and the nature of its leader. Still, in a twist of fate, circumstance has led the New Order into an unlikely alliance with the Empire. From the backdrop, the Old Order under Darius Syphex has arisen once again, often at odds with the New Order. A clever Sith might take advantage of this situation by exploiting the friction between the two groups...

New Order

Name: Kyle Katarn - Friend of Old
Occupation: Jedi Knight
Bio: When Luke became Emperor he offered Katarn a place at his side, Kyle refused the offer but still has some connections with Emperor Skywalker and will often serve as a diplomat for the New Republic. He has recently begun training other Jedi in secret. Although he means no harm, Kyle thinks it's best to keep this under wraps so only a few high-ranking NR officials know of it, he's even managed to keep it secret from Emperor Skywalker himself.

Name: Gydon Hemmorzin - Friend of Old
Occupation: Jedi High General
Bio: The Jedi Generals are an arm of the NJO dedicated to warfare. They master battlefield tactics and troop movements, believing that one day the galaxy will be plunged into war again. The Jedi High General is the most accomplished of the genrals and sits on the NJO council. Gydon Hemmorzin himself is a descendant of the Thyferran Lords, a line that dates back to before the Old Republic. And like his ancestors Gydon is a brilliant General and politican, but has the usual family flaws. The most prominant of these flaws in Gydon is his mild megalomania, which led him to join the Jedi, and then the Generals in the first place. Gydon carries a purple lightsaber and practices the aggressive Ataru form of lightsaber combat.

Old Order

Name: Darius Syphex - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Jedi of the Old Order philosophy
Bio: A force sensitive individual, Darius was a few days away from achieving Knighthood when the Great Jedi Purge began. One of the lucky few to survive, he found refuge in the galaxy of many trillions. Viewing the New Jedi order as schismatic heretics, Darius hopes to rebuild the Old Jedi order on the basic principles it was founded on. Traveling through the galaxy he has attracted several force sensitive individuals of various ages and species to him, allowing him to train them in his own fledgling order. The lightsaber he wields is green, with electrum plating reminiscent of the Grand masters of the Old Order. His white cloak and long flowing beard create an impression of wisdom around him, and his skills in the force are only surpassed by his rhetorical abilities. He is a practitioner of Soresu, Style III.

Name: Persia - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Jedi Master
Species: Human
Bio: The lightsaber Master of the Jedi academy, Master Persia is a master of all seven lightsaber forms. He uses a curved green saber and is most proficient in the second saber style, Makashi. He is a rather slim, extremely agile man and has a rather grim demeanor. One of Darius’s first adherents, Persia’s original name was abandoned as soon as he joined the Order. Formerly a Royal-Guard in training, he deserted when Darius found him and opened him to the possibilities of the force. He most commonly wears a shorter dark green robe. He sits with GrandMaster Darius and master Thano on the Jedi Council.

Name: Lila Numarkus - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Apprentice of the Old Order
Bio: Lila Numarkus is the first and so far only apprentice of Master Persia, the Jedi Weaponmaster of the Old Order. Found at the young age of 12, Lila was taken by Grandmater Darius to train in the ways of the Jedi. When she reached the age of 14, she became the padawan of then Jedi Knight Persia. Wishing to form a master of the order that would complement his weaknesses (A lack of physical strength, as Persia is rather thin), Persia instructed Lila mainly in Juyo, a vast break from traditional lightsaber instruction. Making it even more unusual was her exclusive instruction in the use of a double-bladed saber, equipped with twin blue crystals. Although one of the most talented and skilled members of the Old Order, she still has not been granted permission for the Knight trials. Her unqiue empathic abilities give her extreme insight into others and unusually powerful abilities at healing. This, coupled with her pacifistic bent has caused her much resentment against Master Darius and Persia over her training and their decisions and policies. The only other member of the Order whom she truely enjoys associating with is Master Thano, the ancient archivist of the Order. Lila sepnds much of her time exercising, meditating on her empathy (when the masters aren't around) or assisting on missions.

The Sith Order

Shadow Hand Council

Originally organized as a splinter of the Empire opposing Skywalker's ascent to the throne, the Shadow Hand Council has allied with the Dark Lord Cassius, also known as Eyanus D'Crat. Together, under the new Sith leadership, they unite to take control of the galaxy. But can they deny their own lusts for power to come together fully to see the ultimate dream completed? Time will tell.

Name: Eyanus D’Crat – Melkor1
Occupation: Proclaimed “Dark Lord of the Sith”
Bio: A mysterious, hooded figure and the potential answer the Order’s greatest prayers. He approached their leader, [leader name], in secret and announced himself the Chosen One, the one who would lead the Sith to victory over the galaxy and restore the Sith Empire to power. No one has ever seen him in person; he has always made himself available via encoded transmissions to an undetermined location within the Unknown Regions. He has promised that, one day soon, he would come to the Order and the crusade would begin.

Name: 'Cronal' aka 'Agent BlackHole' - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Former Hand of Palpatine, Dark Jedi Sage and Dark Prophet
Bio: Wiki Bio Cronal was one of the most prominent of the Emperor's hands at the time of the Battle of Endor. After Palpatine's fall and death, Cronal fled the Empire, taking his personal stormtrooper contingents, his personal battle fleet and an array of his students and hangers-on, including Jerec and Cronal's daughter, Sariss. Using his abilities with Sith Alchemy, he has designed and created an array of bizarre creations and mutations that lately have been popping up in the crews of pirates and smugglers...
His rumored prophetic abilities have made him able to elude capture several times and have won him minor renown among many of Palpatine's former Dark Jedi servants. He currently makes his base on an uncharted planet which he calls “New Korriban”. Located in Wild Space, its precise coordinates is unknown to all but Cronal’s followers.

Name: Jerec - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Dark Jedi Master
Species: Miraluka
Bio: The associate of the Darkside Prophet Cronal, the Dark Jedi Jerec seeks to restore the Empire under his own rule, convinced that he must be the successor to Palpatine. Jerec's command of the force is tremendous, rumored to rival that of Darth Vader's. Wielding a single red saber, Jerec is a practitioner of both Form Five (Djem So) and Form Two (Makashi). Jerec also has the odd ability to create a "shroud" over the force, lowering the connection to the force of all those around him.

Name: Sariss - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Dark Jedi
Species: Human
Bio: Sariss, a prophetess of the Darkside and apprentice to Jerec, Sariss is a practitioner of Form IV, Ataru. After the disastrous Battle of Endor, Sariss fled with Cronal, Jerec and a wide assortment of other Dark Jedi to Cronal’s hidden base, hoping to escape the “False Emperor” as they call Luke Skywalker. Unlike her grim master, Sariss has always been rather lax, often diverting herself off on “trifling pleasures” as Jerec refers to them.

Name: Lord Sirax - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Sith Lord, Agent of the Order of the Black Heart
Bio: Sirax was born on the secret Dark World of Ziost. He was raised, and became highly successful, in the highly competitive Sith society of Dromund Kaas, slaying a Sith Lord to assume his title. He was sent out by his Order to destabilize the galaxy, to start new civil wars and order new galactic tragedies to foster the rise of the true Sith Empire!

Name: Dreadnaught - Friend of Old
Occupation: a Dark Jedi
Bio: Dreadnaught’s past is unknown to all except himself. He seems to be the twisted production of some experiments but that can only be speculated as everyone who has ever seen his true face has died shortly after. To those who are force sensitive they can feel that he is always cloaking himself in the force to hide his true power, and his true nature. Dreadnaughts strength does not only lie in his power in the force, but also in the power of his being, who he is could change the galaxy and rewrite the fate of everyone in it.

Faction: Whichever one Jerec/Cronal/Cassius is in.
Occupation: Dark Jedi
Bio: Trel is a Chiss male from Csilla, one of the only known Chiss to have been discovered with Force Sensitivity. He was taken by the Jedi Order shortly before Order 66, and was one of the lucky few Padawans to have been off world when the Jedi Temple was sieged, fortunately for him. His master, the Dark Woman, was separated from him in the aftermath of the attack. He was found by spacers who were hoping to cash in on the bounty on live Jedi set up by Palpatine. In a massive display of Force power and rage, Trel killed the spacers and stole their ship, eventually crashing it on Korriban (Big Surprise). He soon succumbed to the dark energies there, learning the ways of the Force from the long-dead spirit of none other than Ludo Kresh.

After nearly two decades into his exile, Trel had reached his peak in the eyes of his new master. He was given the title of Sith Lord (Despite the fact that he had not been BORN Sith) and left Korriban for good. He was recruited into the New Sith Order and has since become one of the many 'Sith Lords' in their ranks.

Order of the Black Heart

The brainchild of Lakh-tesh Gepta, a disgruntled Imperial officer and ex-Black Sun operative, the Order of the Black Heart has established itself as one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations and dark side cults in the galaxy. Gepta’s dream is simple: to see a true Sith return to the Imperial throne on Coruscant. While the Order is technically only a small organization, not regarded as a true faction as it controls no planets, it does possess a sizable fleet of stolen ships. Gepta recently came across a strange, hooded figure who called himself D’Crat. Upon a show of power, Gepta proclaimed D’Crat the Dark Lord of the Sith and the crusade to deliver the galaxy into Sith hands once more began. While some scoff at D’Crat as a mere figurehead and an impostor, there is more to this Dark Lord than meets the eye…

Name: Lakh-tesh Gepta - Imperial_Persia
Species: Croke
Age: **** knows
Faction: Order of the Black Heart
Position: Leader/Founder/The Big Cheese/Eyanus' Lackey
Bio: Lakh-tesh is the son of Rokur Gepta. He is a shadowy figure of mystery and power. The powers of the Force available to him exceed even those of his father, who was able to destroy all life on a planet using a special force technique. After his father's death three years before the Battle of Yavin, Lakh-tesh joined the Galactic Empire, becoming an intelligence agent second only to Director Isard. He soon grew tired of this service and elected to join the criminal organisation, Black Sun. Soon after Black Sun was dismantled, he startled the Order of the Black Heart, the name coming from the manner in which his father was killed. His goal is simple. To oust Skywalker and his "government" and see power used as it should be. For the oppression of the weak.

Occupation: Renegade Moff, now with the Order of the Black Heart.
Bio: With the death of Palpatine, Moff Crasset wrongly assumed the Empire was doomed. Feeling little real need to remain loyal to the new Emperor, he promptly deserted, taking with him several million credits and a Star Destroyer. While the Imperials hunted him relentlessly for a while, Crasset eventually managed to evade them and went into hiding on the very edges of the Unknown Regions. There a shady member of the Black Heart contacted him, appealing to his desire for money in exchange for his loyalties. The spineless Moff agreed, and is now a puppet of the Order.

Name: Captain Acton Tallard - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Crasset's lackey.
Bio: Commander of the Victory I-class Star Destroyer "Temeraire", Tallard followed Crasset to the Order of the Black Heart after Endor, sharing his views that the Empire was doomed. However, the Captain reluctantly found himself obeying a superior who he felt to be sycophantic at best, weak at worst, and attempted to defect back to the Empire. Crasset foiled this attempt however, and realising Tallard's value as an officer shielded him from the wrath of the Order's top brass. Tallard is now forced to obey Crasset's every order - a job which he finds distasteful to him.

The Outer Rim Protection Association

The former Oversector Outer of the Galactic Empire, its leader, Grand Moff Ardus Kaine, has declared this region an independent state, although there are hidden ties to the Shadow Hand Council and the new Sith powers in the galaxy. Beginning its career with a bold strike on Coruscant, the former Grand Moff's aims remain ambiguous: what is he really after?

After the Clone Wars, he was promoted to Vice Admiral and fell in with Moff Tarkin, a rising star in the Empire. He eventually became Moff of the Azure Sector in the Core, but when Tarkin perished, Kaine was given the oppotunity to take his place as Grand Moff of the Oversector Outer, and he accepted. He took over Tarkin's holdings, including the Scourge Squadron, an elite force of Star Destroyers, and got the immense Star Dreadnought Reaper shortly after.
After Palpatine's death, Kaine feared that the Empire would splinter, but the young Skywalker held it all together, but the thoughts of his own little empire has not been purged from his mind, but he remains loyal for now.

Age: 56 Years
Occupation: Imperial Grand Engineer
Faction: The Galactic Empire
Bio: A partially insane but brilliant weapons designer, Leth was one of the original designers of the Ultimate Weapon, as the Death Star was known as during the years under Separatist control. He was accepted into the Imperial ranks and began developing weapons for them. Following the destruction of the original Death Star, Leth assisted Bevel Lemelisk in designing both the Tarkin and the Death Star II. Before the latter's destruction above Endor, Emperor Palpatine arranged for faking Leth's dead, and he got his own research facility on a large asteroid in the Orpor Belt deep in the Outer Rim, where he, unbeknownst to Emperor Skywalker, continues his weapon experiments. Grand Moff Kaine, however, visits him from time to time to check his progress.

She left Mazzic's employment to avoid the Mistryl hunter teams, seeking to join up with the New Republic. Shada accompanied him, and the two grew fond of each other. The Emperor is dead.

The whispers had circled the galaxy. Hushed patrons at upper-class tapcafés and lowly cantinas alike spread the word to each other, eyeing carefully the stormtroopers standing nearby. No one believed it. How could it have happened? Palpatine, dead? The HoloNet had proclaimed a marvelous victory at Endor. What victory could have been if the Emperor had been killed?

Slowly, hope kindled in the hearts of the people. For days, the Death Star II remained high above the forest moon, the Imperial Fleet, bruised but victorious, standing silent beside it. The galaxy’s denizens had been perplexed when Imperial News Service had reported the Rebel forces disappearing. Mercy was not in the nature of the Empire. Too many unexplained events happening at once…

Then, it happened. A breaking story from INS came through. Urgent, the anchor said. Electrifying, officials told them. These paltry words fell short of the truth.

“Citizens of the Galactic Empire,” the young man with sandy blond hair and a black robe said. “I am Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, Hero of the Rebellion…and your new Emperor.” New Emperor! Skywalker? The famed destroyer of the first dreaded Death Star? It seemed impossible. For the next few moments, silence hung over the entire galaxy. “Palpatine’s reign is ended, his New Order has failed. Lord Vader is dead. It is time for a new era, one that I will establish with your help. No longer will we stamp out those who disagree. No more will we oppress the free peoples of the galaxy. The way of the New Empire will be peace, tolerance…the things that made the Old Republic great.

“Yet there is much work to be done before we can claim victory. The Galactic Civil War must come to a close and peace must once more define our galaxy. To this end, I will work tirelessly with Rebel officials to end this conflict. Henceforth, the Rebellion will be granted autonomy within all Unknown Regions territories, to conduct their state of affairs as they please. I wish them the best of luck, and my heart goes with my former comrades at arms.

“Here on the home front, however, the state of affairs must remain secure. Thus, I will embark on a number of peacekeeping campaigns to the troubled sectors of our Empire. We will bring them into the fold by means of peace – or war, if necessary.

“A new age has dawned, friends. Let us build our galaxy together, shape it into the fine, upstanding society that it must be. I am relying on all of you to aide me in this endeavor. May the Force be with you all.”

The transmission cut and the buzz picked up once more. Had Skywalker, the Rebels’ greatest hero actually come over the HoloNet and proclaimed himself Emperor? The INS anchor returned to the screen. He appeared as confused as they were all feeling. “Urm…Emperor…Skywalker,” he said. Clearing his throat, he composed himself. “Our teams will be working endlessly to ascertain the validity of these statements, but, if true, there can be no doubt that the galaxy will be a little different from now on.”

The INS anchor had no idea.

    --- 5 years later ---

The rain came down hard across Coruscant. Above, in the heavy sky, two Imperial-II class Star Destroyers could be seen idly patrolling the atmosphere for a threat that would never come. A trio of TIE Interceptors zipped through the sky lanes, their distinctive engines whining in the darkness.

Emperor Luke Skywalker supported himself on the banister of the Imperial Palace’s balcony, his dark hood cast over his features. The black cloak was soaked from the long meditation in the downpour, but he didn’t mind. It was…refreshing.

Below, a unit of stormtroopers drilled on the parade ground. Images of Han and himself shooting their way through the white-armored soldiers to rescue the beautiful princess immediately surfaced in his mind. Luke smiled lightly. The good old days, as they were called; what had happened to them? He would never have dreamed of being the Emperor then, never dreamed of fighting alongside them rather than against them.

Never believed that all of this could be possible.

No matter; Leia’s diplomats would be here soon. It had been far too long since he’d hosted Republic representatives in the Imperial Palace. He had hoped that Leia herself would come…they had hardly spoken since…that day…

Luke shook his head, clearing his mind of thought. He was Emperor Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, now, no matter how…“perverted” that title may be. His father had mentioned that just before he died. Something Palpatine had said, long ago. “To be a wise ruler, one must embrace a larger view of the Force.” That was partly why Luke hadn’t abandoned the light side completely. Palpatine would have done well to follow his own advice.

He remembered, crystal clear, that day, aboard the Second Death Star. His father…the whirl of lightsabers…Palpatine…it was all like it happened yesterday…

“Good….good! You’re hate has made you powerful. Now fulfill your destiny and take your father’s place at my side!”

Luke looked at his gloved hand, seeing for the first time a little of Darth Vader in him. He had been horrified. A denial jumped to mind. “Never!” he wanted to say. “I’ll never turn to the dark side!” But that was not what happened.

The Emperor stood with a wide grin on his face, as he watched Luke contemplate the mystery of the dark side, chuckling to himself. Meanwhile, Darth Vader lay on the ground, his hand rent from his wrist. Luke had seen them tumble down to the Death Star’s main reactor, just as he had watched his own. And he realized – his destiny had come at last.

“Ben…Yoda…father…I’m sorry,” he said softly. Slowly, Luke turned to face the Emperor. Palpatine looked on, amusement dancing in his eyes. Luke felt the hatred stirring in him. Palpatine’s self-confident smirk faltered momentarily as he examined Skywalker’s features.

Lord Vader brought himself to his feet, cradling the smoldering stump of a hand. Luke glanced back at him. Vader nodded. Suddenly, Luke tossed the saber, sending it right through Palpatine’s chest. The Emperor gasped as his hands shot up. The Force lightning erupted from his fingertips into the air. Vader pushed Luke down, taking the brunt of the attack. After a few terrible minutes, in which the air bristled with the cries, Palpatine finally gasped his last breath and fell backwards. Vader crumpled to the floor

Slowly, Luke got up and went to his father. “I’m sorry, father…I don’t know what…”

Vader nodded his understanding. “Sit with me, Luke,” he said. “I only have a short time...just sit with me…I would speak to you…before I die…just sit…”

And he did…and, for the first time since Ben’s death, Luke had a father.

Luke smiled at the memory. For a few, brief hours, he had been with his father, learned from him as he had been cheated out of previously. Afterward, his father had died and he summoned Leia aboard. He remembered the tears in her eyes as he told her what had happened. The tears had hurt the most – almost accusing in nature. But he smiled gently. He promised that he would not harm them. He swore that this was not the path he had chosen…their father had asked it of him…

The two days he spent aboard the Death Star II, after his battle with the Emperor, had been the most heartfelt in all his life. But, when it was over, when the Jedi Knight who had been brought on board in stun cuffs came back out…he was decked in Imperial majesty. Moff Jerjerrod had stood there, looking at him slack-jawed. Finally, the commander overseeing the Death Star’s construction bowed low…then the entire hangar…then the entire station…then the galaxy.

The next few months had gone by quickly. Luke promoted Captain Gilad Pellaeon to Admiral and placed him in charge of his personal fleet. He summoned the Grand Admirals and his top Generals. They had scoured the ends of the galaxy, rooting out resistance to the new Emperor’s rule. He had brought peace and order to the Empire. Later, he had brought peace and order to the galaxy.

Emperor Skywalker sighed and turned away from the drilling troopers. Inside the throne room, Admiral Pellaeon stood awaiting him. “Enjoying the sights, my Emperor?”

Luke laughed. “I suppose – at least, what there is to enjoy. What news?”

“The insurgent groups on Dantooine have been quelled. In the end, they posed little threat to us. A few summary executions ensured that the rest of them will not be rising up against you anytime soon.”

Luke sat heavily in the black throne. “But there’s a possibility.”

Pellaeon smiled. “There’s always the possibility.”

The Emperor grinned boyishly, still holding onto that last bit of Tatooine farmboy in him. He supposed that it would probably never go away. “Is that all?”

The Admiral shrugged apologetically. “What can I say? You’re benevolence is legendary, my lord.”

“Very well,” Luke said. “Try to find a way to pacify the Dantooine separatists. I want to keep them in fairly good graces.”

“As you command, my Emperor.” With that, Pellaeon turned and strode from the throne room.

Luke sat contemplating this recent turn of events. Perhaps he himself would visit the temperate colony world in a show of good faith. It certainly couldn’t hurt.

    --- ---

A long time have I watched you, Luke Skywalker. From the crevices of your dreams, I have kept my eyes on you. Since the day old Ben Kenobi took you…I was watching.

Because you, Skywalker, are unique. You are the last of an old order, yet the first of a new. You became a Jedi. You forsook that path. You have come to the darkness, but you have not given yourself to it. The foulness of the old way lingers in you. That is why I continue to watch, to meditate – and to plot.

    The darkness will come again.

    I am ready for you.

Eyanus D’Crat parted his lids, allowing the red light of the terminal to enter. Slumped over the machine was a New Republic technician who had had the misfortune of finding D’Crat in meditation. No man other than his apprentice who had seen D’Crat had yet lived, save one.

The one who could deliver the galaxy to him.

D’Crat smiled wickedly. The light was bare here; D’Crat loved it that way. Where the light was weakest, his powers flourished. D’Crat rose and the sweep of his cloak fell to the floor. Tall and proud, with a stone talisman hanging around his neck from a black string, D’Crat raised a hand. Snapping his fingers, the light went out as he cut the electrical surge with the Force. There was work to be done.

Guiding himself with the dark side, D’Crat moved to the dead man’s computer. “Excuse me,” he breathed pulling the corpse away. He tapped a few keys and engaged the holoprojector.

D’Crat cleared his throat and began speaking.

“Master Gepta, the time is nearly at hand. I will contact you within the month and the crusade for the galaxy will begin. I ask you to be ready when that time comes. Assemble your men. Activate the Order’s cells across the galaxy. The time of the Sith will return – and all will be ours. D’Crat out.”

The deed was done. Soon, the Order of the Black Heart would begin to coalesce, preparing for the triumphant return of the Sith. For five years, they had languished on the Outer Rim, avoiding Skywalker’s crack Imperial agents and New Republic authorities alike. They had spread chaos and mayhem to the outer reaches of the galaxy, each time disappeared into the mist they had come from, never leaving a trace aside from the fire and broken bodies.

They had done their duty thus far. D’Crat was going to repay them.

    But, first things first.

Stretching out his hand, D’Crat summoned the power of the dark side. Sending a small trace of electricity through the computer’s systems, he fried everything. No hint could remain of what had transpired. Gas began to emit from the cooling vents on the computer’s sides. The New Republic would assume that the internal systems had failed, destroying the computer’s banks. The rank gas would naturally have come from a nearby methane pipeline beneath the fueling station of the Republic military. The unsuspecting tech who had been keeping watch would simply have failed to notice until it was too late. As for the lights, well…how many lights failed each day throughout the galaxy? Soon, the strongest would be snuffed out, before the galaxy knew what hit them.

D’Crat turned away form the death and destruction and made his way out once more into his galaxy. The dead man’s eyes stared after him in their last moment of pleading.

    The Sith smiled.

    Gerund IV

Divon Nivarra walked slowly down the street, reaching out with the Force to find the thief. Someone had stolen a women's prized painting, and she had asked him to track it down. having nothing better to do, he agreed. Now he was chasing ghosts down the streets of the New Republic Capitol. He sensed guilt further down the street, and saw a man running from another man, dead, the painting beside him.

He grabbed his comlink, and dialed the number for the Gernd IV Police Force.
" I need an investigation team at my location pronto.", he said, then clicked it off. Hopefully they would get here before too long. He then picked up the painting, and walked back down the street, towards the women. He felt a disturbancein the Force, and ducked. A blaster bolt went over his head. He turned around, as a man with a blaster rifle walked towards him. Divon used the Force to jerk it down, pulling it to the ground, as drew his own pistol and said," Surrender."

It was at this moment that the Gerund IV police arrived, and stepped out of their airspeeder. They looked at Divon, then at the man, then at his blaster rifle, then at the dead man. They slapped the now disarmed man in binders, and picked up his rifle. Divon picked up the painting, and holstered his blaster, before walking off. Someone wanted this painting. He turned, and asked the cops for a pair of binders. They looked questioningly at him, before he explained himself and his plan. They gave him a set, and he walked back towards the women.

When he got there, she ran forward and thanked him. He smiled, then slapped the binders on her outstretched arms.
" Your now under Gerund IV Investigation Committee protectice custity, please follow me.", he told her.
She complied, and he led her back to the cops, giving them the painting as well before walking off. He caught a glimpse of the painting as he turned his head back, and saw a man in the middle of a dark storm. He continued walking.

Can Trayton still have the title 'Darth'? And I'll make his ship be an Impstar Deuce.

Darth Trayton, Acohlyte of the dark side, stood on the bridge of his Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, Legacy of the Sith as he gazed out at the planet Coruscant. It was here that he had begun his training as a Jedi, and now he had returned as a Sith, completing the circle.

The holoprojector in his personal chambers beeped, indicating that he was being hailed. He activated the projector and kneeled before the image of Luke Skywalker.

"What is thy bidding, my master?"

    The Vengeance, Orbiting New Korriban

The Vengeance-Class Star Dreadnought 'Vengeance', flanked by it's Star Destroyer Task Force, cut a wide arc through the night sky of New Korriban. Jagged lightning arcing through the night sky, the planet's atmosphere a turbulent swirl of storms and maelstroms. Jerec strode through the brightly lit hallways of his flagship, his dark robe dragging behind like a cowering servant.

The black armored stromtroopers saluted him as he entered the Shadow Hand Council's conference room. The Shadow Hand's members looked at him as he entered. Apparently he had been slightly late, something unusual for a force sensitive. All the rest were assembled. Maarek Steele, one of the greatest pilots the Galactic Empire had ever seen, was seated on the far end of the long, black table. Sarcev Quest, playboy and assassin. An interesting combination to be sure. Seated directly to his right was seated Roganda Ismaren, former Emperor's Hand and one of Quest's more recent conquests, if the gossip of the ship was correct.

Sitting near the center was Vess Kogo, an intimidating man with a penchant for destruction even Jerec found distasteful. Off in the corner stood Jeng Droga, another former Emperor's Hand. His inclusion in the council was a formality however, as he was generally viewed as too intellectually stupefied to participate to any appreciable degree. After Palpatine's death, Jeng had entered a deep depression and was almost always in a spice induced stupor. That is, until battle is called for.

There were others, personal agents of the Emperor who had fled when Palpatine died, Dark Jedi, assorted defectors and hangers-on of Cronal, among others. They weren't important right now, for the time being. Jerec took his place near the end of the large conference table. Almost as soon as he sat down, Lord Cronal appeared at the end of the conference, his holographic form appearing as a black figured, clothed in night, the only visible features on his stars on an otherwise dark visage. "Greetings assembled council members. I am glad that you can all attend." This was a mere formality. There weren't many other places for any of the members to go, except out into charted space where Skywalker's agents would hunt them down, like so many of their comrades.

The meeting began with some rather mundane matters. Galactic finance market reports, relevant holo-net news, etc. Jerec was bored. Unfortunately for him, this meeting would not yield anything exciting for him at this point, and it was concluded once all of the issues had been resolved. Jerec lingered in the conference room as most of the other members left, either for their own ships or for the turbulent world below.

Jeng continued to stand in the corner groggily, barely aware of his surroundings. "Come Jeng." Jeng trudged after Jerec towards the bridge of the mighty warship...

    Yavin IV

"The force, it calls us. From beyond the galaxy, throughout the universe, the force beckons us to its will. All we must do is answer it." Darius continued his meditations, allowing the force to flow through his body, hovering just an inch from the ground. Ending his meditation, he stood up. "Students, cease your meditations for now." The assembled students, from younglings, padawans and even a smattering of knights followed his orders. "Return to your respective masters and continue your training."

Soon, Darius was alone in the meditation chamber. Alone with the force. He resumed his meditation posture. Only now, with the others gone, could he truly focus to his highest ability. He thought of the assignments he had, the other two masters of his order and pondered where they were. Of course, he knew, to a point. Master Thano was at their tiny enclave on Ryloth, providing some last minute instruction. A smile crossed Darius's lips at the sense of awe Master Thano's lightsaber inspired. Few had ever seen a silver bladed lightsaber, and the younglings constantly asked to see it. Darius could tell even the Knights were intrigued, but they were too disciplined to ask.

Master Persia was on a somewhat more active mission. He was currently on Kessel, rescuing several prisoners, including a rather promising force sensitive. He continued his meditations, seeking for answers, clues, as to the will of the force and the destiny of the Jedi.

Emperor Skywalker... how wrong the name seemed, even several years into his rule. It seemed like just before that Skywalker was a hero, a savior to the galaxy, the legendary son of Anakin Skywalker, meant to free the galaxy from the chains of despotism. Now, Skywalker was the emperor of that despotism. Better then Palpatine, yes, but an emperor nonetheless, a user of the darkside and, hence, set for a destiny of corruption. But Skywalker's dominion was not complete. He had made an error, he had allowed the Rebellion to escape, form the New Republic. Skywalker would fall, and democracy would be restored to the galaxy. The shroud of the Darkside would be overturned at last.

"It is time for the Jedi to reveal themselves. It is time for the Jedi to stand alongside the Republic once again..."

    Kessel

"Hurry, we haven't much time!" Master Persia had a measure of calm in his voice, belying his confidence that the operation would be a success. Deflecting several stray blaster bolts, the Jedi Master maneuvered around the fleeing prisoners as Stormtroopers continued hot on their tail, pulling off random shots in their direction. They were almost there...

The ship Persia had taken to kessel was just 100 meters ahead, the coast was clear. Well, except for the swarm of guards moving after them. Alarm klaxons were blaring and Persia was sure a riot had begun, sparked by his audacious break-out of several of the slaves. 80 meters... Deflecting another blaster bolt back at it's a originator, the whirling Jedi master left a smoking hole in the chest of one of the pursuing guards. 60 meters...

Suddenly, the high pitched whine of a vehicle reached his senses... Speederbikes. Whirring from around an abandoned structure, several speeder bikes were bearing down right on them. Leaping to the side, he positioned himself in-between the prisoners and this new threat. "Keep heading for the ship!" he shouted. Hurling his saber at one of the speeders, he sliced right through it's fuselage, causing the vehicle to careen out of control and explode on impact with the ground. The other two veered off in opposite directions and came around for another pass. One of them began firing rapidly at the Jedi, who deftly deflected the bolts as soon as they came to him. Carefully aiming one of the bolts back at the bike, he blasted the trooper straight off his bike.

The third one didn't even try. He veered off and fled back to the garage. "Too easy." he muttered. The prisoners had begun boarding the ship's landing ramp. Persia ran up behind them, deflecting the ever increasing volume of blaster fire raining upon them. As soon as the last man was in the ship, the Jedi Master leaped back and closed the ramp behind him. Running to the cockpit, he began procedures for a take-off. Not a moment too soon, for an entire squadron of AT-ST's soon came into sight. The shields came up just as the the AT-ST's opened fire, saving the ship from a fiery destruction. As Persia's ship lifted off amid a smattering of ground fire, it blasted out of the atmosphere.

Fighters had already been scrambled to intercept, but the Jedi was't inclined to stick around. He brought his ship to full throttle and outdistanced the Tie-Fighters, leaving them behind. They wouldn't have followed him much longer anyway. Noone was crazy enough to go through the Maw with an unshielded ship that lacked hyperdrive to boot. With a few quick calculatons, the ship blurred into the inky blackness of space, carrying the few rescued prisoner with it, away from the Maw and to freedom.

    It has begun.
    Myrkrr
The jungle was quiet except for the soft pattering of the rain on leaves and ground. The white noise obliterated all other sound. It allowed the mind to wander, lost in it's own universe. The crunching of gravel interrupted his thoughts. He turned to see Shada walking to the command center. He turned, and water cascaded off his long coat, adding to the sounds. He had been there conteplating for a time, how much he didn't know. But it was time for the universe to intrude once more. With a sigh he walked off to resume his duties. Buisness was good. His network was making a tidy profit, and his hideout in the rmote forest reaches of Myrkrr was likely to remain undiscovered. The rivalry between the Empire and the Republic had been allowing him to make a tidy profit. Conflict was always good for the smuggling buisness, and this was noi exception. Officially there was no war going on, but neither side had great affection for the other, and each would like to be the single government in the galaxy. There was good money to be made shipping illegal goods over the border.

Talon stepped through a doorway and into the ops center. Everything was runnng smoothly, thanks to his excellent leiutenant. Shada was competent and more than capable of handling his buisness. There was word that the Empire was about to begin cracking down on smuggling, but there had been rumors before. The only good that came of them was allowing him to charge his customers more. And even if they did crack down, Talon was confident that his operation could remain undetected. Perhaps the small fry would get caught, but his crews were smart and knew how to avoid trouble, and, in needed, lie through their teeth. One thinbg was certain: Talon Karrde would not fall easily nor quickly, and most likely would not falll at all.

    Super Star Destroyer Scinfaxi, Coruscant

She was the Emperor's personal flagship and the crown of the Imperial Starfleet; she was the finest vesel in the skies. Still, Admiral Gilad Pellaeon treated her just as he had his beloved Chimaera. Oh, he still commanded that one, only it had become just a speck in the array of the fleet. There were officers higher in rank than Pellaeon, but few who held the same power of influence in the Emperor's court. After taking decisive action following the loss of the Executor at Endor, the Emperor had put him in charge of his personal fleet, and his primary military advisor.

Darth Trayton had just appeared over the planet, adding his force to the considerable unit covering the planet. The Scinfaxi alone would be enough to ward off any significant attack; the others made any sort of strike foolhardy.

He had just returned from his meeting with the Emperor. The situation on Dantooine was more than under control at this moment. The last of the additional forces had been removed, leaving only the standard garrison. Deciding not to punish the population would make the Empire come off all the better. The terrorists themselves, of course, had been summarily executed. But otherwise, the citizens would see no change in the amount of security, no increase in the military presence on Dantooine.

"Admiral, Director Ysanne Isard is on the comm channel."

Naturally, measures would have to be taken, in order to assure that such an incident would not face a repeat.

Admiral Pellaeon sauntered to the communication unit. "Pellaeon," he said nonchalantly.

"Admiral," the cold woman's voice echoed from the unit. "We've secured the area. General sympathies seem to remain with the Empire. Still, a few of the rebels have been located. The infestation appears to have spread farther than we initially thought."

Pellaeon sighed. "This is dangerous, Director. How do we explain the largest uprising against the Empire since the war? It's like...something got to them."

"Could be the Republic trying to sow discontent throughout our Empire."

"Always the Republic," Pellaeon remarked wryly. "Well, they've been awfully active in the past months. I suppose it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility. Still, poor way the thank the Emperor for allowing them to exist, really."

    "Would that rule them out?"

    "Not in the least."

Isard allowed a cruel, short laugh. "Well, then you're smarter than I thought. Well, I think we're about done here. I must return to Coruscant soon to follow a few leads in this...investigation. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Admiral. The Force be with the Emperor." The transmission was cut.

Pellaeon straightened, shewing his lower lip, stroking his white moustache. This was certainly a curious turn of events. He wasn't entirelt sure if he trusted Imperial intelligence to handle it fully. While he couldn't involve himself personally, he would definitely be keeping an eye on the case.

He would be sure of it.

    Lakh-tesh Gepta

“Master Gepta, the time is nearly at hand. I will contact you within the month and the crusade for the galaxy will begin. I ask you to be ready when that time comes. Assemble your men. Activate the Order’s cells across the galaxy. The time of the Sith will return – and all will be ours. D’Crat out.”

Gepta smiled to himself. The form that he had currently assumed was that of a large wookiee. He gave a bellow and crossed the room the a secure transmitting station. Encrypted herein was a call to arms, ready to be broadcast to the agents both in sleeper cells and on active duty.

Removed from all but the most obscure navigational maps of the galaxy, the planet of Thule waS playing host to a multitude of activities, most of which were involved with the creation of a standing defense and attack force that the Order of the Black Heart could use to strike fear into the hearts and minds of their enemies.

Everything was going according to plan...

"Yes, dear Kyp. But not all users of the Force come with good intentions. Still, we may manage to get a blaster."

Kyp grinned. He knew what that meant.

    CORUSCANT

A Lambda shuttle touched gently down on a landing pad outside the Imperial Palace. As it did so its passenger cleared his throat. As he descended the ramp a small group of stormtroopers snapped to attention. Moff Jerjerrod nodded in acknowledgement and hurried inside, not from urgency but to escape the rain.

Once inside, Jerjerrod began to make his way to the Emperor's chambers. It was a journey he had made once or twice before since that fateful day five years ago.

Jerjerrod had been among the first to swear fealty to Skywalker. He had been stunned by the young man's announcement. Perhaps slightly sceptical; after all, Palpatine had had decades of experience - Skywalker was in his twenties at the time. But Jerjerrod had, like most people, felt an odd feeling... a strange belief that Skywalker was possibly the man needed to guide the Empire as well. They had all been proved right.

Jerjerrod's first order from Skywalker was memorable enough. "I want you to take that thing apart, Jerjerrod," the Emperor had said quietly, indicating a hologram of the Death Star II. Jerjerrod had twitched slightly at this, amazed and exasperated. After all, he had only managed to get the thing operational weeks before. But in retrospect it had served its purpose. The Rebellion was defeated. But the thrill of the power the Moff had wielded was a vivid memory even now. Since that day Jerjerrod's other visits had been simply to report on the state of affairs in his sector.

As Jerjerrod approached his destination, he was greeted by an aide. "Please take a seat, sir. I will let the Emperor know you are here."

Jerjerrod muttered something in agreement and sat down.

    THE UNKNOWN REGIONS

Moff Crasset shifted uneasily in his chair as a rather intimidating bounty hunter towered over him. "I killed Colonel Kivvek like you asked, Crasset," he said in a booming voice. "I want my pay. 50,000, now."
    "Well, er..." Crasset began.
"Or I just take your head to the Imps. They still have a price on you, you know."

The Moff squealed and said quietly, "V-very well. Captain!"
An officer answered over the comm. "Sir?"
"Bring Mister Tonaz's payment here immediately. 50,000 credits as requested."
    "As you wish sir."

Moff Crasset looked at his employee nervously. The huge man smiled nastily. "You're a smart man, Crasset." he said quietly. The doors opened slowly. Crasset smiled, causing the bounty hunter to frown.

"I think you will find, my dear sir, smarter than you think. Now you have worked for me, I cannot allow you to reveal me or my employers to anybody. Nothing personal, of course, but my life is of great value to me." The bounty hunter realised too late what fate the Moff held for him. He drew his pistol. Immediately he was gunned down by the two stormtroopers Crasset had waiting outside all along.

The Moff stood up and peered over his desk at the wounded man. "One final thing, sir. Your payment." A stormtrooper callously tossed a credit chip onto his victim. The man gazed at the stormtroopers in disbelief. There was something... different about them...

Gasping for air, the bounty hunter threw out a hand for his pistol, grabbed it, and struggled to bring his arm back around to aim at his betrayer. Crasset nodded, and the guards took a step forwards, raised their rifles, and fired again. Crasset smiled to himself. The Order of the Black Heart's aims had been furthered, an old Imperial rival assassinated, and all at little cost to himself other than the requirement of some minor acting ability. His masters would be pleased...

Lord Sirax, Dantooine, Raioballo Sector, Outer Rim

The tall thin man stood in rags among the other rag wrapped beings. They had come out as a group from the local farming commune to check out the debris of the battle. A few had macrobinoculars, so did the tall, thin man.

He slowly scanned the length of the battlefield, stopping once in a while to gaze at the piles of bodies, some stormtroopers, some "dissidents". An Imperial investigations unit was working over the battlefield, attempting to track the histories of the bodies, and who may still be alive on-planet. They would also check for the sources of the weapons; but they were generally Imperial-issue, stolen and traded on the black market.

The scene violence and death refreshed him; not as much as the original deaths through the Force felt, but enough. He strode from the group of spectators, and waved his hand. Most would not remember that he was here, and to the strong-minded among the farmers, he was indescribable.

Once over the rolling hill, he mounted his speeder-bike, and departed at high speed. The loose rags slipped away in the unornamented, impeccable blue-black uniform of a Sith.

The campaign to destabilize Emperor Skywalker's mind had begun.

    Grand Admiral Thrawn, Unknown Regions

The Grand Admiral, in his impeccable white battle uniforms, stared out at the displays. His fleet of Star Destroyers floated around him, but he concentrated on the newest types of starfighters currently under.

These were updated designs of the TIE Defender and TIE Advanced as well as the Missile Boat, types that were nearly destroyed during the Rebellion of Zaarin and the Galactic Civil War. He had also plucked drone fighter designs from Zaarin's command ship, upon it's destruction.

In mock fighting, the mixture of Advanced, Defender and Missile Boats absolutely destroyed the traditional Fighter, Interceptor, Bomber and Gunboat types. Thrawn nodded his satisfaction. Thrawn's fighter squadrons were already full of these ships. There was nothing that a squadron of Missile Boats could not deal with, even a Super Star Destroyer. Thrawn valued small-unit tactics over the largest super-weapon. He signaled to his communications officer:

"Signal the Emperor. The new designs are ready for full production. They will be slow to produce and far more expensive than similar Rebel designs, but they will be an edge in maintaining peace in the galaxy.

I decided to let Melkor have a say on who gets the Advanced, Defender and Missile Boat designs before there's a huge scramble for them.

General Antilles, Mon Calamari Cruiser Maria, Gerund IV

General Antilles entered the projection room. He stood on the pedestal; other holographic characters were already visible around the room. His visage was noticed, and acknowledge at the annual New Republic strategy review.

"I apologise for the latenss, gentlebeings. The reports of the latest phase of exploration have just come in."

"No problem, General Antilles. Let us begin."

    Nar Shaddaa

Jedi Master Quinlan Vos stood on top of one of Nar Shaddaa's tallest buildings and gazed out at the metal forest all around him. Nar Shaddaa, according to some, was the dark side of Coruscant. It may have been covered in kilometer-high buildings, but there was an evil, a desperation, that Quinlan had never felt on the former Republic capital. But when you got right down to it, Coruscant wasn't really that different from Nar Shaddaa after all.

At least, not after the Empire had taken over.

Quinlan had visited Coruscant after Order 66, had walked through the carbon-scorched hallways of the Jedi Temple, had felt the pain and suffering that was forever infused within its walls.

    "Master Vos?"

The voice broke Quinlan out of his silent mourning. He turned to see one of the few Jedi that had also survived Order 66. "Hello, Padawan Judarrl."

"Hello, Master Vos." The tall female human shifted her feet and looked at the ground. "Masters Syphex and Persia wish to speak with you."

"Did they say what it was about?"

"No. They are on holo downstairs. They said that it was urgent."

    "Very well. I'm coming."

"Then, I fired off the engines and rocketed out of there!" Master Persia finished his story, much to the delight of the younglings. Darius allowed a small smile to form on his face. Mater Persia's story telling ability seemed to go beyond even his saber skills. Master Darius nodded slightly, indicating that the impromptu storytelling session was over.

As the students dispersed, a small, unassuming man, a blue skinned Twi'Lek, older in looks and rather unassuming in stature. "Master Thano, I did not expect you back so soon!" Master Darius got up from his seat and walked over to greet the Jedi Master.

"The Enclave on Ryloth is growing at a great pace Master. We already have three more students, with more being brought in." The two other Masters nodded. "With this new Enclave, we shall require a Master to permanently oversee Ryloth." "I believe Master Vos is equipped to handle it adequately." Persia and Thano looked apprehensive. Master Vos's inclusion into the Jedi Order had been hotly contested on the Council, with Darius's insistence of granting Vos the rank of Master, in exchange for conceding Vos's seat on the Jedi Council.

"Any objections?" The masters shook their heads. Vos had proved surprisingly stable, and his experience was undoubtedly needed in the fledgling order. "He is currently stationed on Nar Shadda, teaching two students in addiion to policing several of the more corrupt areas of the planet."

    "We shall contact him immedietely."

Soon, Quinlan Vos appeared on the holographic emitter, Master Darius, Persia and Thano on the other end. "Master Vos, your service to the Jedi Order has been remarkable. In light of that, we are assigning you to oversee our Enclave on Ryloth. May the force be with you."

"Hello, ladies and gentlebeings. I welcome you all to the annual strategic meeting of the New Republic Defense Force."

While the various military commanders nodded, Han called up a hologram of the Galaxy.

"As you can see, and all know, of cause, Republic holdings are limited to extremely desolate Sectors of the Galaxy. While we do control a rather large area with considerable industrial capacity, our ressources are dwarfed by the Empire. If it should come to war soon, we have only two advantages: the willingness of our soldiers and our desolate location, as we are the only ones who posses maps of these regions. But I may add, that I have no beliefs that we can even fight a possible war to a standstill in our current position. While I have complete confidence in the NRDF, it is simply just inrealistic. But this is not a time to dwell in our problems, I will no present you the current strategic data of our Republic."

Quinlan nodded. "Thank you, Masters. I will transfer to Ryloth with my students shortly." The holoprojector winked off.

Quinlan turned to his two students. Jhurda, a human female, and Harksan, a Rodian male. They were both sixteen standard years of age. Jhurda carried a single blue lightsaber, and Harksan carried two yellow ones. They were both donned in the traditional garb of the Jedi Order.

"We're leaving Nar Shaddaa, Padawans. Ryloth is our next destination. Pack your things and meet me at the landing pad."

"Yes, Master." they both said, and they turned and left.

"Dad?" A young adult emerged from the shadows of the room and stepped forward. "Where are you going?"

Quinlan smiled. "Don't worry, Korto, you and your mother are coming too. We're going to Ryloth."

"Lubed!" the boy-Quinlan wasn't ready to think of him as a man yet-made a dash for the doorway. "I'll go help Mom pack!"

"Don't forget your lightsaber again!" Quinlan yelled after him.

Name: Shada D'Ukal - Darth Margera
Occupation: Second in command of Talon Karrde's smuggling operation.
Bio: In 0 BBY, Shada was a member of the six-person Shadow Guard team led by Manda D'ulin, when they were approached by the scientists working on the Hammertong project to guard a prototype of the Death Star II's superlaser. When the mission went wrong, Shada and her friend and comrade Karoly D'ulin stole the Strike Cruiser being used to transport the prototype, and escaped to Tatooine, where they posed as the Tonnika sisters in an effort to hire a freighter to help take a section of the device back to Emberlene.

By 8 ABY, Shada was traveling the Galaxy aboard the freighter The Fury with Mistryl trainee Dunc T'racen, when the pair of them were caught up in a complex con run by Ghitsa Dogder and Fenig Nabon. After this, Shada became bodyguard for the smuggler chief Mazzic, a role she would perform for the next decade, until 19 ABY. In this job, she appeared with plaited hair and a blank expression-until trouble started. Then she was all business, throwing enameled zenji needles with lethal accuracy and using her more-than-capable combat skills to protect the smuggler chief.

Sixteen years after the Battle of Endor, Shada prevented Karoly from assassinating Mazzic, and came under punishment from the Eleven who led the Mistryl. She left Mazzic's employment to avoid the Mistryl hunter teams, seeking to join up with the New Republic. Instead, Leia Organa Solo offered Shada's services to Talon Karrde, who was heading into the Kathol Sector to locate a copy of the Caamas Document. Shada accompanied him, and the two grew fond of each other. When Karrde located information that revealed the truth about the fake Grand Admiral Thrawn, Shada was there to stop the cloned Major Grodin Tierce from killing Gilad Pellaeon and the Mistryl leader, Paloma D'asima. As a result the hunter teams were called off and Shada officially joined Karrde's new joint intelligence organization, taking the role of Kardde's unofficial second in command that had been open since Mara Jade left the organization.

    TO ALL
Let's kick this off. The following strategies are just ideas to get the RP going.

My chars Lord Sirax and Blakor the Assassin will attempt to assasinate Skywalker. Obviously this won't work, but hopefully this will destablize Skywalker's mind into the depths of the Dark Side. His paranoia will see intrigues and assassins everywhere. At the same time "Republic" and "Imperial" ships will raid border zones between the Empire and the Republic, destabilizing the political scheme. If ANY black hearter wants to join in the fun, more the merrier. Thoughts?

Name: Blakor the Assassin - Solomon
    Faction: Black Heart
Bio: Born of the same Sith Society that raised Sirax, Blakor was raised in an environment of controlled rage. Outwardly detached, this man can and will unleash incredible bursts of Dark Side activity.

    Gerund IV

It was Wedge's time to present.

"Thank you, gentlebeings. Here are the exercise plans for our return to the Known Galaxy that the Council has asked for. Our position has several strengths. First of all, only we have the secret hyperspace routes into and out of the Unknown Regions; Skywalker's scouts have not been allowed into our territory since the Treaty.

Second, we have many communities of galactic beings in our territory. They still have ties to their homeworlds, and many still root for us. Due to these ties, or their inability to accept an authoritarian government no matter HOW benign, or other vendettas versus Skywalker, there are several hundred planets that would declare loyalty in our favour, mostly in the Outer Rim. There are a few in the Inner Rim, and a handful in the Core Worlds. We would not encourage these worlds to revolt UNTIL we are ready to enter the Core. But basically, if we can infiltrate fleets and stockpile weapons to these planets, we will have the initiative.

Thirdly, we can use crime lords and smugglers within the Galactic Empire for spies, guides and weapons runners and perhaps even financial support. Hutts for example don't like a quiet galaxy.

In the event of war, we can bog down the first Imperial thrusts solely because only we have the secret hyperspace routes into the Unknown Regions. With attention bogged down in this manner, we could have the Outer Rim erupt into revolt, and begin the campaign of liberation all the way to Coruscant itself!

    Are there any suggestions?

I will give some instructions in, and after, this post.

Darth Trayton was full of surprises, and always had been since the beginning. Ever since the strange dark sider had emerged from the hidden depths of nowhere, swearing allegiance to the Emperor, he had been a peculiarity in Skywalker's eyes. The others just remembered Palpatine and hoped that Trayton was more...forgiving.

He had called a special assembly of all the Empire's top military officials - Grand Admiral Thrawn, Pecantii Syn, Rufaan Tigellinus, the disquieting cyborg Osvald Teshnik, wounded in the attack on the Death Star II, and the Force-sensitive Nial Declann represented the navy, while Generals Maximilian Veers and Tal Ashen had come on behalf of the army. Moffs Heseltine and Jerjerrod, too, had come, as well as a host of other governors. Included was Director Ysanne Isard, on behalf of the entire Imperial intelligence community. The lowest ranking official present was Admiral Pellaeon, who sat just to the side of the Emperor. On the Emperor's right hand sat James Vita, his apprentice. On his left, Darth Trayton, the self-proclaimed Sith lord who scanned each individual meticulously. Next to Vita, there was Sate Pestage, the Grand Vizier. In the shadows, he knew, Mara Jade and Carnor Jax stalked silently, watching as carefully as Trayton for any trouble.

"Friends," Skywalker began. "You have served the Empire gloriously for the past five years, never questioning my rule openly, even if you held your own private, reasonable doubts. For this, I thank you. Your devotion to the ideal of the Empire over the ruler speaks highly of your reputations, and under your careful command, we have enjoyed years of peace.

"Unfortunately, dark portends have entered my mind of late. My apprentice, too, has noted the disturbance, as well as Advisor Trayton and the honorable Grand Admiral Declann and others in my court who have demonstrated some proficiency in the Force." He silently thought of Mara Jade. The woman was full of surprises, and an able bodyguard. Clearing his throat, he continued. "The business on Kessel has raised a number of fears with many at this table, I have heard, despite the fact that Kessel was granted autonomy some years ago to serve as a prison colony for any interested party. Still, you are reasonably concerned, as a number of high-profile Imperial prisoners are detained there, including many of your former colleagues. First, let me assure you that the warden has promised that none of the most dangerous fugitives went missing in the attack.

"However, a graver threat is on the horizon. Director Isard has brought to my attention some disturbing information from the Unknown Regions, and our 'ally,' the New Republic. Director?"

Isard rose. "Gentlemen," she began coldly. "Several of our top agents have been working in the New Republic for years now. While most major espionage projects were cancelled after the peace accord, these handful have tirelessly monitored Imperial sympathies in the area. For a time, things seemed to have calmed down. Sadly, this trend has been reversed.

"Most notably, there seems to be an increase in the advocation of war among Republic officials and a sharp decline in the number of citizens who regard favorably the current diplomatic situation. Without any significant military espionage efforts, however, we are unable to determine whether this is affecting their military policy.

"Finally, I would like to point out the general increase in hostilities committed against Imperial units of late. As Admiral Pellaeon will attest, the recent insurgency on Dantooine is only indication of this fact. That one was amongst the most hostile and volatile situations we have seen since the formation of the Rebellion."

Luke nodded. "Thank you, Director. In addition, we have picked up a number of military ships moving throughout the Kessel system; it is believed, at this point, that, if there is a concerted effort against the Empire underway, it might be centered there." He sent a silent message to Trayton and James: I would like you two to pay extra careful attention to that region. Go personally if you must; your proficiency in the Force will guard you. "Moving on, Grand Admirals Thrawn and Syn have delivered some delightful news regarding research projects. Grand Admiral Thrawn personally oversaw the final testing of a number of craft just this past week. Grand Admiral?"

"Thank you, your majesty," Thrawn replied. "If I may direct your attentions, ladies and gentlebeings, to the holoprojector before you..."

What followed was a recording of the demonstration of the new vehicles. Most of those assembled murmured their approval as the tape came to an end. "While the new craft are slightly more expensive and take longer to produce, as you can see their capabilities are unparalleled by any other in the galaxy. In the hands of capable pilots, we will certainly have a fighter force worthy of the Empire."

"Thank you, Grand Admiral Thrawn," Luke said, and the Chiss sat down to polite applause from the impressed spectators. "I will now hear from, from some of you, what you believe ought to be done in face of these current crises, as well as any concerns or questions you may have."

Okay, so all Imperials respond to this and do whatever for the next week. D'Crat will be gone from the scene for the next week, and he will meet with the Black Heart at Kessel. Republic people, do whatever, but no attacks yet. Other than that, MTFBWY.

    Gerund IV

Ulrick Jifor stood up after the speach of Wedge Antilles, and spoke," War!!!

Why would we want a war. I point you to the charts of General Solo here. We can not win a production war against the Empire, even if" A hologram appeared, outlining the territories of the Empire in grey, and the New Republic in Red, then flashing a multitude of Imperial worlds to red." all of these planets where to join. Yes we could hold off an attack, but only until the Empire learned about the Hyperspace routes. General Antilles, you imply that the Empire will stay in the Outer Rim. I feel that many here still think we are fighting Palpatine not Skywalker. Skywalker would simply leave then Outer Rim, and then ask for peace. If we refuse, then we eventually are destroyed. If we accept, then we get the Outer Rim for however long Skywalker feels we should have it. And why go to war in the first place. You" Ulrick pointed at Wedge Antilles" seem to think we are still fighting Palpatine and Vader. We are not. The Emperor is Skywalker now, a much more peacfull man."

Ulrick wacthed the reactions from the crowd, hoping for a supporter. Divon Nivarra stood up, and spoke," I can tell you now that Admiral Jifor is right. We can not figh the Empire openely, and I do not believe that we can easily fight them secretly either. We are at a standstill, a stalemate. Yes, we would win many early victories against the Empire, but then we would falter, and fall."

Ulrick wacthed. What was it about Divon. There was something there, as if he already knew what you where going to say, knew what you where thinking.

OOC: Divon is a Jedi Knight(New Order), though as shown, only those of the Order, Leia, and whoever she chooses to tell know this.

    Gerund IV

General Carlist Rieekan sat placidly in the midst of the chaos that was slowly erupting in the situation room. General Antilles plan, he had to admit, was bold as much as it was optimistic. As much as he wanted to see the end of the Empire himself, he thought it far too...irrational.

Admiral Ulrick Jifor, the Bothan, and General Nivarra both voiced their opposition to the plan. At least he would find some support here. "I agree," he said as Nivarra concluded. "The plan you propose, General, is exceedingly antagonistic, especially in our position. Any way you look at it, we're on the run. Some of you may think that, just because we have a capital and worlds united under our banner, that we're an equal in the eyes of the Empire. The truth is, Skywalker or no, we will never be that. Many of the old clingers remain in the Imperial command, and they regard us with as much scorn now as they did then.

"And why shouldn't they? They clearly have the advantage in numbers and manpower. Under Skywalker, the stormtrooper units have been made ruthlessly efficient, and the navy, though comparatively small to what it may have once been, is the unparalleled power in the galaxy. You've seen my intel reports, you know that I am telling the truth. Like it or not, this is not the Rebellion; what advantages we now have are not the ones we had then, back when we could move and hide and feint.

"My recommendation is to avoid war at all costs. General Antilles, I don't think there's a one of us here who would doubt you, but it may be a little early to begin plotting the fall of Coruscant!"

General Rieekan resumed his silence, pondering, awaiting a response.

Pellaeon later. I also want to bring back my Jedi character from AoD. I'll post the bio later.

    James Vita

Though his gold, fathomless eyes stared relatively straight ahead for the duration of the the meeting, his mind was active as always, scanning and rescanning the thoughts of those seated at the table and circling in the darkness.

I would like you two to pay extra careful attention to that region. Go personally if you must; your proficiency in the Force will guard you.

James nodded once, ever so slightly that even the council members seated directly in front of him would have trouble comprehending the gesture. As the room darkened, a holoprojector showed various test results and holos concerning Grand Admiral Thrawn's efforts in previous months. They were impressive, to be sure but would prove to be all together meaningless if they would be able to avert the coming war.

As the holos ended and in the seconds before the lights returned to normal, James slipped out of the room and proceeded to the hangar bay. Contained herein was his Horizon-class space yacht, christened the Blade Shadow. He went through the list of preflight checks and launched, dodging through the mid-morning traffic in the airlanes and breaking orbit, activating his sensor jammers and launching to hyperspace towards the moon of Kessel.

    Kyp Durron

    Go, now Kyp

Vima's urging through the force spurred Kyp into action and he sprang from his hiding place, landing atop two troopers clad in Imperial Stormtrooper armor. Though the empire had outsourced the prison several years earlier, the guards had stil elected to wear the stormtrooper armor, despite the obvious pitfalls of using said armor in the mines of Kessel.

Kyp could hear the snap of bones breaking inside restrictive armor as he used the force to shove the guards into either wall. He snapped up their E-11 blaster rifles and sidearms before retreating back into the makeshift tunnel, ending up several hundred metres away before backup arrived.

He approached the tunnel hidden by a stolen holographic projector and used the Force to let Vima know it was him. Entering the small cave, he unveiled the cache to Vima, her delight evident through the Force. It had been seventeen hours since either of them had gotten any sleep, and Kyp settled down on the cave floor, his mind alert for any intruders.
